very poor . TV not working, Hot water issues, toilet door not shut and breakfast we have to wait for long time for top-up. no food in the night . not worth for the price. you can get better place in Kandy for this price.

Nice place that could be even better”
Nice place near Kandy. The rooms and the bathrooms are good. WiFi was not working and the TV satellite service was not working. But we were not concerned as we were only looking for a calm and comfy place near Kandy to spend the night. The staff was quite friendly too.

worst experience”
To search the place we took almost 2 hrs..nobody was picking the call at the hotel..after a long search we were able to locate the hotel...rooms were ok.No Wi-Fi..no hot water in the morning..wanted to use the pool but it was dirty as if it was not cleaned for more than a week ..I went to Sri Lanka with my family and a infant for 5 day in this hotel I had the worst experience ..I don't recommend this hotel to any one.

Good location - Could improve with food choices”
I've stayed with my family for 1 night. Room was really big (more like a suit with two connected rooms even though I ordered triple AC room) and clean. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Pool is small but clean and looks nice at night (my Son and Daughter enjoyed a lot :)
Only disappointment was lack of desserts on the breakfast. We've given a chance to select the breakfast(no buffet) and they've prepared it. However, we've only offered bananas for dessert.

Terrific hotel, great staff ”
We stayed at hill house hotel for 3 nights, and hands down the best thing about this place is the staff - they went out of their way to cater to our needs, whether it was sending us to the city centre, or personalizing our breakfast (we had a sri lankan omelet, and a full sri lankan breakfast which was fantastic, on request ). The pool was a lovely touch and the food delicious. Rooms were large and comfortable. Will not hesitate to stay here again if back in kandy!

Nice new budget hotel starting to find its feet”
Great staff, good breakfast and nice little pool with a view
We chose the Hill House as a budget hotel on our long Sri Lankan Itinerary and had a pleasant stay.
The staff are friendly and attentive and they feed us a great breakfast.
It is a new hotel and has a few areas to improve on - namely the bathroom for our room was below average and the hot water was intermittent at best. The actual room was large and comfortable and we had a nice view onto the pool. The hotel has beautiful views across a valley and we enjoyed them from the pool and our bedroom.
As it is a new hotel, it is worth getting a map of its location for your outings. The tuk-tuk drivers didnt know where it was which led to some adventures when coming home in the evening.

petit déjeuner très bien, chambre jolie mais salle de bain très simple pour un hôtel qui s'attribue 3 étoiles
photos trompeuses, l'hôtel est construit à flanc de colline, l n'y a pas un seul mètre carré de jardin et la piscine est minuscule et pas entretenue, l'eau est verte; impossible de se baigner. Pas de logements pour le chauffeur. Très bruyant ,à minuit il a fallu demander au management de faire taire les clients qui chahutaient sous les fenêtres

Das Hill House liegt unterhalb des Topaz Hotels auf der rechten Seite.
Der Pool wurde täglich gereinigt,jedoch hätte das Bad etwas sauberer sein können. Die Betten waren sehr bequem.
