Amazing location and views”

Had a 2 night stop over as travelling garden route. Ideal location with fantastic hosts. Family run and so accommodating. Stars at night are an amazing.

Exceptional”

As far as camping goes , this is one of the best. We are a family of three, staying at the family tent, with two bedrooms . The tent is well appointed and beautifully furnished. Dressing gowns, a safe, tea and coffee making facilities were provided. Although the shower was located outside the tent, it didhot and cold water tap so showering outdoor wasn’t an unpleasant experience. Food was excellent and delicious. Our ranger was knowledgeable and accommodating, looked after us very well. A glass of bubbles with a few bites of local snacks was most agreeable every evening The only downside is the weak Wi-Fi onsite. It was available only in the common area and not in the tent. Signals kept dropping out . We basically gave up after a few attempts but managed to download our newspapers every morning during breakfast so it wasn’t too bad after all. Will definitely recommend to anyone who appreciate a camping experience in the game park.

Exceptional”

We had the most wonderful two nights stay. Tim our guide was exceptional and Jason attended to our every need. Nothing was too much trouble. A very memorable trip - saw lots of animals and Jason arranged for me to go on a horseback safari which was terrific. We met two very interesting other couples who made for jolly entertaining company. Could not fault anything.

Incredible Experience from start to finish!”

Everyone and everything in Hillsnek was amazing. From the game drives to the dinner/drinks service to the tents themselves. Even though we were there during rain (which the land definitely needed, so we were happy), the staff and rangers helped us enjoy every minute. Anyone thinking of trying Hillsnek will not be dissapointed! It is five star all the way, with an exclusive feel, but also manages to be authentic and unpretentious as well. We were lucky enough to really get on with our fellow guests, which made for some lovely dinners and drives. Ranger Chris, Renzo, Jo, Jaison, Monique and Byron - thank you so much for inviting us into your world and hosting with such passion and care. We absolutely loved it. Best, Andrew

Wonderful”

Wonderful stay. Managed to see Cheetah, Lion, Hippo, Elephants, Giraffes. Very entertaining Rangers(particularly Byron) doing twice daily tours. Brilliant food and a family atmosphere around the lodge with all the staff. Lots of alcohol choice and stunning views from the lodges. As it was warm the elephants also came to the pool to drink! :-)

An amazing stay”

We stayed at HillsNek on our honeymoon and they made it a trip we will remember for a very long time. We saw all the animals we wanted, the staff were so friendly and the food was fantastic. Couldn't recommend it enough.

Highlight of our South Africa honeymoon”

Amazing place. Only four tents so very private. Staff is absolutely outstanding, Rangers are most knowledgeable in the reserve, we did 5 game drives including a night drive and saw everything. Just book it, you will not regret!!

Wonderful stay at Hillsnek game reserve. ”

Had an amazing safari stay at Hillsnek. Only 4 lodges set at the base of a hill overlooking a large savanna. Very personal and accommodating service by the whole team. Beautiful uninterrupted views from the balcony. 4 x 3-4 hr game drives and we saw all the big game up close which was incredible. A wonderful end to our holiday in South Africa! The conservation ethos of the staff and game wardens is what sets this lodge apart. Nothing too much trouble and guides are very passionate and knowledgeable. I highly recommend a stay at Hillsnek. I hope to return again one day

The staff was so friendly, the food was delicious, and we saw lots of animals (including a baby elephant, giraffe, and rhino). I have a gluten allergy and they went above and beyond to accommodate me.

pasamos 2 noches en esta reserva fantastica y fue una experiencia inolvidable. disponen de solamente 3 carpas, lo que permite una atencion muy individual. las excursiones/safaris con el guide trevour eran super educativas y divertidas. antes de la salida a las 6h se sirve cafe directamente en las carpas. despues de la excursion abundante desayuno. de tarde hay un te maravilloso, seguido por otra safaria. a la vuelta se sirve un cocktail en la chimena seguido por una deliciosa cena. queremos volver!!!

Safari-Feeling im Wildpark”

Sehr schön gelegene Lodge mitten im Amakhala Game Reserve. Die Hütten (Zelte) sind sehr gut ausgestattet und bieten atemberaubende Ausblicke, auch unter der Dusche im Freien. Anreise war etwas schwierig - man hatte uns die Koordinaten des Camps selbst gegeben. Die Rezeption ist davon einige Kilometer entfernt und man wird mit dem Jeep in das Camp gebracht.

Ein wunderbares Erlebnis ”

Das Essen war überragend, vor allem, weil dort alles selbst zubereitet wurde, also auch Brot gebacken, Marmelade gekocht, Limonade zubereitet.
