          really great food”

          Good motel but great food i had a steak that was close to perfect (room service) really it felt more like a hotel than a motel. only sorry that i missed having my meal in the restaurant will try again if I'm in the hill next time.

          Confused about the fine for smoking as on the site is asks whether you would like a smoking room. ”

          This is false advertising but in addition to this I will be contacting the Hilltop to discuss the fine as the WSH were only supporting the family with financial assistance and I was shocked to receive the additionnal $200. I discussed this with the family who said they did not smoke in the room and were smoking out the front when a staff member advised them the smoking area was at the back so they movied. prior to this there was no indication they were not allowed to smoke out the front of their room and there were tables and chairs with ashtrays so they assumed they were allowed to smoke in this area.

          Nice looking motel with great restaurant & pool area. Rooms are very old (50's?) but well kept. The disappointment is the shower/toilet is so small that to dry yourself outside of the shower recess you would need to be standing in the toilet. The vanity/basin is outside in the kitchenette which can be annoying. Parking is squeezy but offers a place for each room.

          Suite1 has a door that is jammed tight and trying to turn the key to get in was a struggle. Also fridge was so iced up its cooling efficiency was well below par not good when temperature at 43 C. outside and you have perishables needing a cold fridge. On the plus side clean great bed and cooling A1

          Bad service”

          I have stayed here before and was ok. I never write reviews but I was annoyed. This time I stayed for 3 nights. After the 2nd night my room didn't get made up the next day. I was told it was because it was a public holiday and they only could do what they needed to. Clearly my room wasn't a priority even though I'd paid for 3 nights and for that service and no one advised me any differently. I mean don't you stay at a motel for the holidays??? Disappointing and they were quite rude about it. No offer to help or compensate. Wouldn't stay again
