The Hilton Experience
The staff, the food and the location wrt the LG Arena
From the time we phoned to the hotel on arrival at Birmingham International Rail Station, requesting their courtesy car, to the time we left the following day we could have not asked for a better trip. The car arrived promptly, the driver was friendly, courteous and helpful. Check in was a breeze and we were made to feel valued as a guest as the hotel facilities were explained to us. The evening buffet was delicious and the staff serving again made you feel welcome. The maitre'd was so professional. The location was just right to walk to the LG Arena where we saw Andrea Bocelli. The bed were comfortable, the room spotless and the breakfast was excellent. This was despite the hotel being nearly full which says so much about the organisation and the staff. Just first class.

Great Staff and Location not much else
Staff, Breakfast,
Rooms were over described, they were called deluxe, they were basic at best, food was over priced and basic, I paid almost 6 Sterling for a Coffee.15 sterling per day for internet access was a complete disgrace. The staff were friendly and accommodating. It was overall a means to an end close to airport and convention centre but im sure there are better around

Convenient for conference facilities
Convenience. Food. Pool
Stayed at the Hilton Metropole in Birmingham for a conference. +ves Convenient for conference centre and rail station. Quiet, clean room. Good bed and blackout curtains ensuring good nights sleep. Good food in Restaurant if a little expensive. Good size pool to unwind in. -ve Have to pay a lot for WiFi in room. A bit short staffed especially check in. Bar expensive. Whilst location is great for conference centre you are away from the centre of Birmingham on what is effectively an oasis in a dessert.
