Best location in New York City”
hilton garden inn new york located at 35th street, very good location. herald square subway station right in front of the hotel entrance, very convenient to take subway to any part in new york city. opposite to the largest macy store in nyc, 5 mins walking distance. one block away from empire states building. 5-10 mins walking to 5th avenue. 10-15 mins walking distance to times square new york. its is good to walking around as there are so many shops, outlets, restaurant and etc all around. got a room on level 18 with empire state building view which is great. stayed here for 2 nights, the hotel staffs are good and giving information of directions and tours around. free wifi in the room, free coffee and chocolate beverages during morning hours. many nice korea restaurants along the same block. overall stayed is a great experience. definitely will come back again when visit new york next time.
Great location. ”
After reading many reviews on New York Hotels I decided to choose this one and was not disappointed. My priorities for hotel choice is cleanliness and location. The Hilton Garden Inn was excellent in both areas. The hotel was located just off Times Square around the corner from Macy's and our room overlooked the Empire State Building, which was stunning when lit up on an evening. The hotel was very clean and the staff very pleasant and helpful. The room was very well appointed and immaculately clean - the bed was extremely comfortable. Tea and coffee was available in the room as well as an iron - ironing board - hair dryer and toiletries as one would expect. One could also use the Internet facilities free, which were located off reception, in a separate room for guests use. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. I am very particular about cleanliness. If you are too it is a good hotel of choice.
Loved this hotel but the elevators run slow”
I loved staying at the Hilton Garden Inn, I travel to New York a lot and I stay at different places whenever I do go but this hotel just might be a keeper my girlfriends and I loved it. We got out of the train station and the hotel was literally across the street so it made it very easy to get around. We were a street over from 5th Ave so shopping was very close and we were a couple of blocks from the Empire state building which I finally got to visit. Times Square was also a couple of blocks down. I couldn’t have asked for a better location there is plenty to do. The rooms are small but it’s NY in the city so that was expected. The only issue was the slow elevators, the first day (Saturday) took forever to come down and go up. I noticed that housekeeping and other staff also use the elevators which I presume is what make the wait take forever; also the lighting in the room could’ve been better nothing serious though. All in all for the price especially off of Agoda.com I would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to others.
Incredible Bang for Buck”
The Hilton Garden is a clean little hotel in what some might call Murray Hill but, realistically, is in the Garment District. The rooms are of fair size (for a New York hotel) and have all basic amenities. If you like Korean food, you're surrounded by some of the best restaurants in NYC; I would highly recommend Cho Dang Gol, which is practically next door, though it can be tremendously busy on a weekend night. The only drawback is... the Garment District (and Murray Hill, for that matter) is one of the least "happening" areas of New York. You're within reasonable walking distance of trains. However, you're also within reasonable walking distance from Madison Square Garden and Macy's, and, if you visit the city around certain holidays (Thanksgiving and Christmas, in particular), you may find yourself in the middle of mob scenes... shoppers, idiot drunks, etc. There's always some reason that a nice, little hotel is cheap. In this case, that MUST be the reason, because you really can't beat the bang for buck. My wife and I just stayed at the HGI right before Christmas, and the rate through Agoda was around $135. If you can find a good hotel for less than that, let me know. That's about as low-end as it gets!
Fantastic, wonderful and perfect!”
Perfect stay in New York with Hilton Garden Inn New York West 35th Street, will continue to book this hotel for my next trip to New York.
Our SilverWedding trip”
We arrived in New York for our Silver Wedding Anniversary only to find a mix up and we had no room reservation as far as Hilton were concerned. They contacted Agoda when I showed them my hotel reservation details. After much discussion and I have to say shouting on my behalf between the 3 of us Hilton finally agreed to honour the booking and we were able to chack in. Not a very good start to the visit. the Front Desk Manager for Hilton could not have been more helpful and considerate, she deserves a special thanks from my wife and I. The rest of the visit was fantastic, we had a view of the Empire State Building from our room and were in the ideal location for shopping and sightseeing. We used the Hop On Hop Off bus for 2 days to get around and on the evening of our Anniversary took a dinner boat cruise down the Hudson River. Everyone should do this at east once while they are there, the views were spectacular. Once we got over the initial problems the rest of the stay was exceptional.
Great Location, Value for Money & Clean bedroom”
Great Location, Value for Money & Clean bedroom. This would be the hotel of choice for budget travellers with its central location in close proximity to everything that New York City has to offer. Coupled with the daily complimentary refreshments in the lobby and its clean bedroom, this would be the hotel of choice for budget conscious traveller for the fact that its under the Hilton Group of Companies. Thumbs up for Hilton Garden Inn.
Great location with reasonable price”
It was my first time here in New York. This hotel offered me an affordable price with very high standard of Hilton in Times Square area. It located just a 1 min walk to the Herald st. subway station. The room is very well decorated and clean. From my room, I can spot the Empire States building. You can leave your baggages after checked out.
My New York trip was wonderful and one of the main reasons was the Hilton Garden Inn. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a hotel at the heart of things but yet be spared of the hustle and bustle. I only gave food/dining a rating of three because I did not eat there.
we picked this hotel because of the location and we were happy with the decision. it was steps away from the subway and right across the street from macy's. the hotel staff was friendly and helpful. the room was just adequate and the price was reasonable, especially for midtown new york. we would definately here again for our next trip to ny.
Great location but small rooms”
We really enjoyed our stay at the Hilton Garden Inn West 35th Street, the location was perfect and we walked to most attractions. The empire state building is very close and we had a beautiful view of it out our room window. Facilities are excellent and the staff and service was wonderful. It is right next to the subway. The room service was delicious and at a fair price. I would stay here again.
Great location with great value”
This hotel is just perfect. From the location, it is located near Macy’s and other great stores and restaurants within just minutes to walk. It is also near the subway and Penn Station. Not to mention that we could just walk to see Times Square. Would highly considered to stay at this hotel when visiting New York another time.
An international hotel brand with value for money”
This hotel is strategic located near to time square. It is about 10 minutes walking distance to time square and there is a Macy store just opposite the hotel. Train station is also within 5 minutes walk. You can actually take a 15 minutes walk to Rockefeller centre also from this hotel. The hotel is clean and tidy although it is a bit small. However I would think that you wouldn't spend much time in the hotel anyway because there are plenty of things to do in New York. I have problem with my flight on my departure day and the hotel staff was very helpful to provide assistance. I have a satisfying stay in this hotel and would definitely recommend this hotel to others!
Great location but c impact rooms”
Staying at the Hilton Garden Inn, New York is extremely convenient as moving from the different places of interests and shopping malls & centers are within walking distances
everything you want in a hotel”
It was my second time at this hotel & i'll be back again if i return to NY. location is superb - 5min walk to macy's & empire state building. Subway station is just 1min away. Plenty of food options nearby too. Hotel room is clean & new. Bed is comfy & can even adjust the firmness. I'm lucky to get the corner room this time & it's huge (in NY terms). Me & my room mate can open up 4 luggages comfortably. Staff service is prompt & friendly. Overall, this hotel surpass my expectations.
The hotel located in the middle of Manhattan, which saves your time and transportation fare. Although the room size and city view are worse than expected, I had two decent nights in Hilton Garden Inn.
Perfect Hotel! HIghlt recommendable”
I stayed at this hotel for celebrating new year 2018. The location is near from the times square so we could come back to hotel after the count down finished immediately. It was very important thing because New York's winter night is really harsh, frosty air. Also, the room has micro-wave oven so we could get some hot meals/hot milk in the late night. The building was neat and clean.
Good location for the Times Square area.”
We only stayed one night in this hotel as we were leaving New York the next day. The room was comfortable and had a great view of the Empire State building. The staff were pleasant and obliging, although the gentleman who checked in our bags for safe keeping after we had checked out of our room, could have been a little more friendly. Tea making facilities were not good, a coffee maker was provided, but a kettle would have been appreciated for us tea drinkers. However, to be fair we found this to be the same in all the hotels we stayed in New York.
Excellent Location.....All perfect”
Really great hotel in the very heart of Manhattan. Rooms are spotless and a little bigger that you would expect in the middle of New York. Ideal.
Hilton Garden Inn New York West 35th Street”
A Nice, clean hotel in 35th street, off 6th Avenue. A Great Location, ideal for shoppers with easy access to many shops and malls. Very close to sub way and many restaurants. Room is clean but small in size. I have reserved a quadruple with 2 double beds. After that there is not much space left (be aware if you are carrying big cases). Bathroom is very clean and with fresh supply of toiletries, daily. Breakfast was good with a variety of fresh fruits. Check in process was efficient with friendly staff. This hotel keeps a security deposit, not mentioned in Agoda site. Staff explained to me only when a query was made. I have requested a room in higher floor with street view (Request was made on 22-May for a stay in Jul) , However I was allocated a room in 5th floor, so No Great View !!! Appreciate if drinking water bottles could be placed in rooms.
