"This hotel probably has the best location on Waikiki it's on..."
December 9, 2018
A staggering 2,500-plus rooms make up this exceptionally luxurious 22-acre beachfront resort property. The gardens are extensively managed and include jungle strolls through many man-made waterways and falls as well as multiple swimming pools and a wide variety of dining options right there at the resort. The full-kitchen unit option is a great choice for families, and the refrigerator comes fully stocked. There is a separate branch of staff that is employed simply for creating a fun and interactive environment for people of all ages, so nearly anything that one could desire to do can easily be accomplished simply by contacting the front desk. It will be completely unnecessary for anyone to lift a finger at this multi-award winning establishment that truly takes luxury to an all new level.

Excellent location and family friendly”
Great location with excellent amenities and facilities. Room is clean with good housekeeping. However, front desk stuffs are not friendly and very often not helpful at all. Almost every one in the property will greet you with a big smile but not the front desk. They talked in a cold manner and with a stone face. Very unlikely of Hilton hospitality!
It don’t have the amenities like microwave that we needed badly.”
It was a brainer to get a bottled water from the concierge. We have to go back to our room and they will deliver it there. We are in front of them, wearing the Tag and we have the hotel card with us. We just told them to forget what we asked.
Disappointed with Agoda ”
The hotel was really nice, the only problem was with Agoda they did not price match my booking, and I live in California so i was traveling to Hawaii national and my bank charge me 3% of my booking because Agoda transfer the money to anther country, so I do not recommend booking with them
Very nice hotel ”
Nice linens and soft blankets. But you have to ask in advance for new Manchester polyester blankets. Since hotel does not keep new blankets all the time in stock. Wish hotel had laundry facilities for guest onsite near pool areas. Wish pool areas had blankets you can borrow in pool area. Using the card for towel for pool area is lame. Security issues in pool area theft is a problem. Maybe make guest get pool color bracelets every day to use pool area. Will help to force people staying at hotel. Showing a room key and validating it that it is a guest staying at the hotel. Like Disney world does at beach club. Lookers in the pool area to use for a short term for 3 hours or 4 hours.per day by room key. To secure your personal belongs. Blankets on the lounge chairs would be cool. I brought my done. Feel good when cold wind blows on certain days. When your wet. Towel card process is stupid. I found it ignoring. Just put a fence around the pool area to restrict access.
check in process a little confusing”
Great hotel. check-in process a bit confusing. Pre-check line is not accurately labeled. overall the hotel is great and spacious. we stayed in 2 of the 3-bed tapa family rooms. super spacious for our staycation. Mahalo
Nice but depends on the tower”
This village has everything, you don’t need to leave! Great mix of casual bars and cafes to a more fine restaurant in the Bali Steakhouse. Tropics and Tapa Bar great live music. Rooms were clean and fine. Though depending on which of the 8 towers you are in, your views could vary. If I went back again I’d be booking Rainbow or maybe Lagoon towers for uninterrupted ocean views. Warning to check if the resort fees are included in your room rate or not as it can add up and make a difference if you’re comparing. Express check out was easy!
Stayed at the Kalia tower and we were upgraded to an oceanview room. Room is a bit outdated but facilities are great. Enjoyed the luau show but it rained and there were no contingency plan on where we could eat our dinner properly without us and our food getting soaked. Ponchos were distributed already too late.
Great stay with wife and baby, beach is super convenient and right outside the door, baby loves running in surf, lazy lagoon has paddle boards for rent which are not worth it except for novelty value. Benihana steakhouse restaurant right outside which was excellent.
The best Hotel in Hawaii!!!”
It was one of the most amazing experience for both me and my hubby. We were so amazed on how gorgeous and strategic the location was. The staff is so helpful and generous. They kept giving us gift after gifts. They have movie machine so you can rent it for free, PS2 for kids to play, ABC convenient shop where you can get fm fresh cut seasonal fruits to everything else. The beach facilities is amazing and the pool is just wow... I would recommend families with kids and couple to stay here. In the night, they have The Luau dance with fire performance and they are perfectly good. We enjoyed the live band at the lounge every night. It feels so safe that we even took a midnight dip in the pacific ocean and enjoyed the moment we had to cherish. It was surely and dearly a memorable time of our life. We are planning to go again but this time we are taking our kids with us. I am sure they will love it!!! I want to thank Hilton again for making it the most memorable experience for us. Highly recommend this hotel 100%. We also stayed at the Grand Hyatt Hotel but nothing beats this one. Dont waste your money on other hotels.
Beach, Food and Shops at HHV”
pluses for HHV: separate check-in and check-out for Ali'i Tower guests, separate pool and fitness center, too. enjoyed the HHV area for the beachfront (few walking steps), the food and restobars nearby (from the budget type to expensive ones), and the variety of shops around the village to walk around after a day at the beach
great beach hotel”
it's a nice hotel, which is very convenient and not very expensive...the staffs are really friendly and helpful, and the room is not really big, but clean and affordable. the bathrooom is a little bit crowded, but it's ok for a couple to use. the parking situation need to be better.
Low level of hospitality
Needs an update!”
For the amount of money I spent and with Hilton’s reputation, I would have expected a much better experience than I had. With only two couples in front of me it took 45 minutes to check into my room. Lots of people doing nothing, then an insurance convention came in and literally took over everything, concerts until 11:00 outside the room, dinners that took all the reservations, clogging all the elevators! You couldn’t use the stairs because it was alarmed, 30-40 min wait on elevators just to get outside! It was awful and this was my second bad experience with Hilton in a row.. DONE!
We stayed for 5 nights in April. The location was lovely, right on the beach and the room was large and comfortable. It was just very busy. There was queues for dining, reception and the pool was very busy with lots of kids!
Nice resport but too expensive for outdated rooms”
I stayed in the Tapa Tower - at over AUD $500 a night the room was over priced for what you get. Very outdated and dim rooms. What you are paying for here is the resort its self, all the beach access, pools etc. The common areas and grounds are lovely. Restaurants also are very expensive but offer a great atmosphere. Fire works on the Friday was a nice 5 minute experience. Would recommend for families and if you've already been to Waikiki before and want to experience the resort for few days. Main Kalakua strip is a tad far walk .
Great location and facility”
It has to be the best location in Hawaii and the facilities are fantastic. The only disappointment was the front desk staff, particularly the manager, who hesitated way too much to empathize with the customer's situation and, instead of helping to solve the issue with the travel agency, advised booking directly and not using travel agencies. This is an American attitude that will not go over well with Japanese customers.
Spent our last day/night of our holiday here and got a really good deal on a room through Agoda! The hotel had a very resort-like feel to it and didn’t need to leave the complex! Would definitely stay here again!
Comfortable, quiet end of Wakiki hotel”
More of a family orientated Hotel but has great facilities. Room was big and clean in the Kalia Tower with a view of the ocean and beach. The bed was bed comfortable.
The hotel is like its own mini city with lots of restaurants and shops. It has beautiful pools. The cons are that it is insanely costly to store a car for the night $43! It is also insanely costly to use kayaks, paddle boats, unbrellas and chairs by the lagoon.
Great location at the West end of Waikiki!”
GREAT for families with kids! You don't really need to leave the tropical 22 acre, 7 tower iconic property. Lots of food selection, convenience shopping, pools and walk out on a classic beach access. Nice walk to the main Waikiki Strip. It's very touristy, but fun and worth it! Be prepared to spend $$$! Hawaii is expensive but a nice beach and sun vacation
