A mega resort with something for everyone”

The location, the many restaurants and shops on the premises itself, the facilities available for booking tours.

We enjoyed our stay at the Hilton Hawaiian Village because of many factors. The location was in the hub of Waikiki and with a great beach, many pools, a spa, shops, restaurants - just so much choice in the hotel as well as a short walk away! The room was comfortable, the tours were arranged easily and pick up was convenient! The beach at sunset was incredible, and we enjoyed an evening at the Tropics Bar having cocktails and enjoying the view and music.

Amazing place to stay!”

Large room, lots of activities, amazing beach

My wife and I loved staying at the Hilton Village. It was so much nicer staying at a whole village rather than just a solo hotel. There was this feeling of being secluded in our own little world inside Honolulu. There were shops, luxury good stores, and restaurants all within walking distance in the complex. Convenience stores everywhere, several nice pools, and of course, Waikiki beach right there as well. We especially enjoyed the free DVD rentals that came with the room! We would curl up with a movie every night after a long day of fun and sun. I really hope to go back soon!

The Hilton Hawaiian Village was a beautiful hotel located right on the beach. The rooms were extremely comfortable. There was a Playstation 3 in each room with free movie/game rental downstairs so the adults and the kids can enjoy. Best hotel in all the Hawaiian Islands”

Close to beach, walking distance to downtown, great nightlife.

Hotel experience was great from check in to check out. We checked in around 8am after landing at 6:30am and stored our bags for us. When we returned at 11am the room was ready although check in was not until 2pm. Great hotel just to walk around, lots of things to see and do. Provided us beach towels. Step out of the hotel onto Waikiki beach and close to the wharf too. Room was clean and had a great view (Rainbow Tower, Ocean/Mountain view). Enjoyed the pool side performances and fireworks beside the hotel afterwards. Hotel had fast wifi connectivity. Staff were very helpful and gave us tips on what to do and see and convenient transport options. Tried Tropics Bar & Grill, Rainbow Lanai (buffet breakfast), Pronto Pickle and Bali Steak & Seafood all had great service with the exception of the Bali Steak & Seafood receptionist who made us wait 40min then to be told that there were no seats and to come back in an hour.. and then when we came back did not acknowledge us and continued to give tables to people who had just arrived. But the food and service inside was good. Checkout was very easy as we had prepaid. Just return the beach towel cards and got to keep the Hawaii Five-O key cards.

Large beach front and pool

I really liked the complex that is the Hilton Hawaiian village, while it was about a 10 minute walk from the main Waikiki area, the complex had everything you needed including an ABC Store, the Hawaii Cookie company store and several restaurants.

Lagoon, numerous restaurant and bar choices

Hilton is in a good spot a quick walk from the main beach area of Waikiki. The lagoon was awesome - especially for paddleboarding. The village had no shortage of restaurants and bars and there are lots of activities available. Definately recommended.

Brilliant Hotel”

Great hotel with great facilities in a fantastic location on Waikiki Beach. The Lagoon is a fantastic place. I dare anyone not to enjoy themselves here. The selection of pools is good. However an adults only pool would be a fantastic addition! Gym is pretty poor as the Dumbbells only go up to 50lbs and lack of other machinery. Good selection of food outlets and the rooms are clean, big beds and very spacious! Incredible selection of shops. It's like a mall! Great location. Slightly out of the way of the huddle and bustle of the Main Street which is a 5 minute walk away and 10 minute walk the other way to the biggest outdoor Mall in the states. Staff are very good and friendly. All in all a good hotel! Just a few minor improvements if it was to become a 10!

Hawaiian hotspot full of excitement & relaxation”

Luxury, location, staff

Loved our stay here! You must stay in the Ali'i Tower. Exclusive amenities, and personal check in/out counter, pool, gym and spa, with prime location on beach front real estate - ocean views. The staff were fantastic! Julie Smith at the information centre was not only helpful and curious, she was sweet and very funny. Great insiders tips and started my morning off with a laugh! The resort can get busy during peak times, but expected at such a large resort property. Nothing too overbearing. Short walk down the beach to the main shopping and eating district of Honolulu. Location is not an issue. Would stay here again!

Hilton Hawaiian Village Hotel”

Staff are super friendly, pools and beaches are lovely

The Hilton Village is amazing in size but nothing is ever too much trouble for the staff who are super friendly and everywhere! We only stayed two nights before heading to the North Shore but it was great. Long check in lines always await arriving guests and it's a little hard lining up in the heat while watching people enjoying the pool just out in front but it just makes the eventual swim all the better! The only down side to the place are the prices once there. Food is ridiculously expensive and the two lunch poolside places we tried had very average food! The food in Waikiki is great though and this is only a ten minute walk from the village.

Location, staff friendliness and very clean

Perfect location, not right in the very busy center of waikiki beach but only a 10 minute walk away, from all the restaurants (not that you really have to leave the resort anyway, plenty of food choices) close to Ala Moana shopping center. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Great pools, great lagoon and beautiful beach. The only complaint I would have is that our stay wasn't long enough.

Nice, but not worth the money. ”

I Used Agoda to to get the best deal on the Hilton – although still expensive. Even though I am a Hilton Honors Gold member, because I used Agoda I received none of the Gold membership perks. As for the hotel it’s changed very little in the last 40 years. Some quality has really deteriorated- like pool/beach towel service that offers very tired looking, white bath towels. While walking down to Dukes for dinner, I noticed every other hotel offered large, luxurious beach towels to their guests. We’ve been going to the Hilton Hawaiian Village for close to 40 years, but I am sorry to say other hotels/chains are passing them by.

The Hilton Hawaiian Village Hotel is a fantastic resort that is extremely family friendly. The four pools, private lagoon and beach will keep you and your kids occupied for the entire day (or stay). You don't need to leave the village if you don't want to as there are shops (although not extensive), pool bars and restaurants to keep you busy. We loved the private lagoon! Our room was clean and comfortable, with a nice view of one of the pools. The bed was super comfortable; we stayed here for the last night of our trip and slept so well that we missed our shuttle bus back to the airport! Location wise, it's a fair distance from the main strip of Waikiki, but there are buses that stop right outside the hotel which, for $2, can take you right to the strip or the Ala Moana shopping center. Staff were really friendly and helpful. We didn't need to physically check-out in person at the reception desk as this had been pre-organised by the hotel's staff the night before. The main let down for us was the wifi - there was no wifi in the hotel rooms and only within the hotel lobby or certain pool bars. Considering we paid such a high price for the hotel and were charged additional taxes for wifi, having that available within the rooms would have been ideal.

On the beach, but very busy!”

Friendly staff, location, Friday night fireworks

In all our stay was good, despite the hotel being very crowded with hotel guests and a hula competion in one of the conference rooms in the tower we were staying in, made it difficult trying to get in an elevator at times. The hotel grounds and gardens are very nice and tidy, lots of swimming pools, however theses were crowded at most times. Hotel could do with larger swimming pools to cater for all the guests, maybe even a kids pool with slides etc Good to see that hotel puts on movies on the big screen every couple of nights for the kids and the Friday night fireworks were entertaining and popular. Great views of the sunsets from beach, my wife loved it. Staff were very helpful, friendly considering the number of guests they had to deal with. Couldn't see how the hotel could get away with charging the $30 a day service charge considering we didn't use anything that it provided for. Beach activities were extra and not included in the price or day service charge. Have been to cheaper hotels that have provided us with more without an extra charge. The construction that is going on at the moment next the tower we stayed and also next to our closest pool we used was some what annoying. In all nice, but not what I expected from a Hilton hotel.
