Loved the rooms , the ways they were thoughtfully layout and the location of the property - next to the Gulf of Finland in a quaint neighbourhood.

Great value for money”
the excellent service, top quality restaurant and location of this hotel made our stay memorable and we will remain loyal customers from now on. while the hotel is a few kilometres from the city centre, the excellent tram system of helsinki is only steps away. the surrounding neighbourhood is the upscale munkkiniemi which provides wonderful parks and great sea views. the rooms are well kept and modern and the breakfast buffet is unbeatable, if your package does not include breakfast it's worth paying extra. an added bonus is the free parking, which you would not find in central helsinki and saves a lot of money.
Hilton Standard, Great Value”
We were apprehensive booking there. Having booked it, we made no mistake. The hotel although in the periphery has a direct tram within 50 m taking you to the city centre in 20 mins. So, the city is accessible without having to pay exorbitant rates for a quality room. The hotel is based on the waterfront so the location is a real beauty. The neighbourhood is very quiet residential area (giving us a peek into everyday life of Hensinkians.) The rooms were large, the bathrooms even still. Since we booked in a super-saver plan, we did not get the lake facing rooms :-( The gym was average but the area is so beautiful that it is better to walk or a jog down the sea/lake every day. The breakfast was great in spread and quality and service standards better than other Hilton properties i have been to. The espresso could be better but pretty much everything else was in excellent shape. Great stay! Full credit to the management.
Very good hotel with friendly, polite staff in a fabulous location ”
We loved our stay at this hotel. We loved the location by the lake. There was a lovely cafe on the lake, a short walk from the hotel. We caught the tram ( number 4) into Helsinki. The tram stop is a 3 min walk from the hotel and the journey is about 15 mins . Breakfast is outstanding!!!!
Excellent location, suberb service!”
Located close to the city center and neigbouring the out-door museum area this hotel surrounded by woods is very attractive. The price oc the room was more than satisfying. The hotel is probably recently renewed and the rooms are of suberb quality. The personnel is very helpful and observed to be able to communicate in most major languages (Englsih, German, Russian, Swedish I noticed). Breakfast is excellent including Finnish specialities too. Free parking. Hotel restaurant is reasonably priced and offers local specialities. Good communal transport (bus), but perhaps best and easiest by car (own or rented). Sadly: Wi-fi cost was 10 eur a day (May 2011).
Relaxing and beatiful location, luxurious”
At first we had some trouble since the Hotel couldn't find our booking. I've stayed at this Hotel numerous time and I was utterly surprised by one of their staff member's reluctant attitude and unwillingness to solve our situation. She only offered to sell us a new room although we already had paid in andvance... Buuut, after a phone call to Agoda, everything was solved and we got to spend our night at the beautiful location right next to the shoreline. Let me repeat: I've never had any troubles at all while staying in this hotel... Things happen, it can't be helped. Allthough this hotel is a bit far away from the city centrum, public transportation is extremely good. Just hop on the tram tain (it's fairly easy, cause only 2 different numbers go there). If you wish to enjoy outdoors, idyllic location, luxury with affordable price and good customer service, this is your choice.
The hotel is cosy. Staff were extremely friendly ”
The hotel is a bit far from the center, but lets you enjoy and feel neighborhood life in Helsinki. The rooms are comfortable and there is a sense of history to the place. The no 4 tram to the city is quite close and it takes 15-20 minutes to get to the city center.
the most peaceful space”
The most peaceful place in helsinki Great ocean good view but its little far from center
This hotel is everything you want from a hotel.”
Have stayed in several hotels recently but as total experience this is definitely the best. Decently priced but very comfortable. Location off from the city center but in a very nice place. Nice staff, loads of free parking. Ordinary rooms nice, the honeymoon suite definitely moneys worth if you need something a bit special. Good breakfast.
Expensive and out of town...”
Although the hotel room I booked is portrayed on agoda as having a balcony- it does not, so I was mildly disappointed as was the hotel manager. This hotel is a distance from town but is perfect if you like outdoor leisure activities. Food was expensive but it is a Hilton, what do you expect?
Convenient location, clean room”
The hotel maintained certain Hilton standard however I've stayed in better Hilton hotel than this one. The 1st night I was stayed in a room that has leaking basin. However after we came back from Tallin and stayed there again, we were given a room that had no problem. Location was convenient, very close to tram stop to city and room was clean even though quite small.
This second visit was a disappointment.”
This is a nice hotel with good facilities. It has an attractive setting allowing many of the rooms to have a scenic outlook. Unfortunately we were not given such a room this time so having established that they were available we asked to be moved. The rather over self confident young man who eventually decided to check us in after keeping us waiting while he dealt with room cleaning issues asked us for an extra 200 euros to move rooms. We declined! Saturday night was interesting. Some event in the hotel played loud music until 2 in the morning. Breakfast was good and most staff were helpful. We like this hotel but feel very disappointed at our treatment. It's put us off a revisit and feel we cannot recommend it to others.
Great great location at the sea”
Its more a holiday hotel than a business hotel and that makes it so nice to stay there - even for business. great restaurant (affordable) and beautiful views - take a room at the sea - wing - its the money worth... Nice pool and great sauna - strictly recommended
Help friendly staff who were always available. Warm and comfortable rooms breakfast was fantastic.”
We were there in February which was snowy and cold but as the hotel was well heated you were not aware of the cold outside once inside the hotel. There was a great choice of food and amount for breakfast, and enough time to relax and savaur your meal.
Nice hotel but the facilities are rather lacking”
initial impressions of the hotel are good, with a large open reception area with friendly smiling staff. throughout my stay staff service remained consistently high. however, whilst the hotel has a swimming pool the opening hours are restricted to certain hours in the morning and the evening. furthermore during breakfast service the dining area has insufficient seating which resulted in residents being forced to use the seating in the bar area which was inappropriate for the purpose.
Excellent stay and breakast!”
this hotel is a little out of way but worth it. Tram 4 only takes about 20 min to get to the city centre. Very nice property in a neighbourhood by the sea side. You can kayak, use the sauna facilities. Excellent breakfast and overall service too!
Hilton Helsinki Kalastajatorppa Hotel”
this is a perfectly ok, functional hotel to stay in if on business in helsinki. it is at the end of one of the tram lines so an easy commute into the centre of the city where it will cost more to stay. nothing to get too excited about though.
very nice hotel, although not close to the city center. The staff upgrade us to lake view room. However, hotel only offer wifi in lobby not in your room. not convenient for business traveller.
At the coast with very good sauna and pool”
Its close to the city center but feels like a holiday hotel - with private beach, pool and sauna. Also Restaurant very good and affordable.. clear recommendation
The price was good. There is a bus service near hotel which is very convenient and runs frequently. Hotel is near the beach and lots of people go there to see the beautiful sunset. As it is a little further away from the city, it is very quiet and peaceful. Staff could be more friendly/helpful.
Wonderful location , nice property”
Loved the rooms , the ways they were thoughtfully layout and the location of the property - next to the Gulf of Finland in a quaint neighbourhood. Also liked the breakfast spread.
