Sophisticated, urban, and well-connected are words that sum up this world-renowned, Hilton brand hotel located only a block from Edgware Road tube stations in London. Hilton London Metropole Hotel boasts its comprehensive conference center as one of the biggest in Europe, providing an ideal accommodation for business and corporate travelers. The hotel is easily accessible to the city's main transport system as both the Bakerloo and Circle train lines run through here. Those inclined to walk will find the hotel is only 15 minutes to the end of Oxford Street and Marble Arch. Little Cairo area, famed for its proliferation of Middle Eastern cafes, provides rows of terrace shops and eateries along the streets. The 1,054 tastefully appointed rooms here vary in size and style, but all feature fluffy white beds and pillows. Guests staying in the tower can enjoy floor-to-ceiling views of London's crisp city skyline and make use of the 12.5-meter pool, exercise area, steam room, and sauna on-site.

we had a lovely room , unfortunately we had noisy neighbours and were moved after making staff aware..we moved to a bigger room. The staff were professional and accomadating .. I would highly recommend this wonderful hotel to anyone visiting London.
The Exective Lounge is too small. Quite a few times, it was too full and people were standing around to eat or drink. There were times when it was so crowded and many people were standing and waiting for tables, some small children were crowding the bar area, running around with soft drink bottles in hands or occupying seats & tables well beyond their allowed time of 5pm. The lounge staff didn’t do anything about it, and it was quite unpleasant. Food quality and variety could be improved.
Lots of drawbacks”
Starting from check-in, it was good and they provided me as requested with connecting rooms. However, being inside the room, following disadvantages: No complementary water provided; however the receptionist said there will be free water but you need to request them from the room service; however, the room service explained the water is chargable and it costs 10 Bound per bottle. The Bed has sounds whenever you move your body on it; i didnt pleasant sleep during my full stay. The A/C was not cooling. The receptionist staff are not handling the customers requests properly. The staff need to improve they customer service skills.
From one mistake to the next”
1 hour to check in only to have to settle for the 3rd room offered. First room 12 th floor window smashed. Second room door didn’t work. 3rd room ok. Then breakfast we had been missed off list so had to return to front desk 20 minuet wait. Returned late 10.30 so went to restaurant ordered 3 meals waited 45 mins no food they had forgotten us. So we just left and went to our room. Otherwise a very tiring stay not refreshing.
Over priced for the old building rooms.”
Bathroom tiling were broken and was not fixed during my entire stay. Refrigerator was not working but managed to get another small fridge. TV channels were limited, though there were many Indians staying there, atleast one Indian channel could have been provided. Continental breakfast was great, but still they could have provided one Indian dish for Asian crowd.
Disappointing for a Hilton”
Room was shabby with mould around windows. TV didn’t work properly. Bar fridge didn’t work well and an old mattress with springs that were felt through the mattress protector and bed squeaked. Hilton took money from my card despite me paying Agoda and told me this was accidental when I called to enquire. Did not receive the money until after leaving the UK.. not impressed and expect more of a Hilton hotel
Good but not all good.”
Arrived really hours of the moring and they put me in a room that date back to 70s or 60s even. Bed was so old and so uncomfortable., the same goes for the bathroom. The next day and after complaining they moved to a better and newer room. It turns out the have old and new sections at the hotel and you have to demand to get a decent room. I wouldn’t rate the unrenovated tower 2 stats. Also, they don’t eccept USD at check out, something unheard off in this day and age. Breakfast was good.
The hotel does not fit to be a Hilton”
I have been a loyal Hilton Honors member for over 10 years and I've been staying in Hilton London Metropole without fail every time I go to London on holiday. I've been staying in the Metropole since 2015 and every stay we were given the tower wings which the rooms are dilapidated. It depends on your luck where some time you get a decent room and sometimes you get a dilapidated room. The room we stayed Room 1014 was horrible where the smell of cigarettes lingered around during our stay. The side lamp did not work and the heating as well did not work. The mattress definitely need a change as well as the flat pillow. Most Hilton hotel chains have fluffy pillows. The Metropole has a good central location which why we chose to stay there every time. In the past, they had newspapers distributed free, this year none to be sighted. We paid almost GBP 250 a night for that crappy room.
Can be cleaner”
Missus mentioned the toilet can be cleaner, and also bottled water should be provided. I think the toilet must have a hose bidet (not the seat ones) and a floor trap so we can maintain the cleanliness.
Lobby and reception are wery beautiful. Rooms are quite poor. Part of the hotel is very old and smelled tobaco, we asked new room in newer part. No minibar or even water in 4* hotel room. Staff is friendly and helpful, location very good! Breakfast good value.
Just right outside is the Edgware Road Underground Station and a few blocks away from Paddington Station. A lot of restaurants along Edgware Road and also some supermarkets. Most staff were very helpful. Just wish the hotel gave at least drinking water at your arrival just as other nice hotels do. But no issues as it didn't bother our stay.
great value overall”
The Hotel is at a great location, easy to access from the airport (Heathrow) and is a great place to stay in if you ever need to go to Kings cross (straight tube - 15 mins). Awesome breakfast but make sure you get there early and prepare enough time, We went when it was just opening (6.30am) and there were already queues from different tour groups. If you get a room in the west wing like we did, the walk around the hotel can be a chore for older family members, so if possible ask for a room in the east wing. Lots of different food options for everyone at a great price, just look around the corners (halal food, cafes, bakeries, Fast foods such as mcdonalds or pret a manger, m&s food etc). Would come back to this hotel!
This hotel is located across the road from Edgware Tube station and bus stops.Checking in and out was fast. The room size was good for London standard. The breakfast spread was excellent with halal food section. The only minus point was the wifi access was not free.
The hotel is very easy to access. The tube just around the corner. Mark and Spencer just across the street. It was really nice. The room was big. We had family room with two queen size bed and one sofa bed. The breakfast also good.
very good but when we asked for the water, the recieption make some confusion to us, since they said that we call dial 0 to ask for water but when we called 0 they said we have to go down and pay for deposit first.
Great Location but small rooms ”
Stayed for for two nights when it was snowing in london. The staff was a mixture of nationality which is GREAT. Professional and Fast Check in....... Rooms a bit small for a twin sharing room but it was worth it for the money we paid. Very close to the underground less that three minutes walk By underground it was close to all the major attraction, approximately 15 minutes walk to Oxford Street...
Great Location at an affordable price”
Loved every single aspect of the hotel. From its location to the size of the room, there's nothing much to criticize really. The bathroom was perfect for a couple and the bed was extra comfy. Room service however could be improved in terms of the quality of the food. Price of the hotel is also very affordable as compared to other hotels under the same brand.
A Very Pleasant Stay”
This was my first visit to The London Metropole Hilton, and I was not disappointed , a free upgrade to the top floor helped of course , and great view too !, wonderful cosy bed also.. I arrived very early (9am) but this was not a problem , and the helpful lady in reception , took care of everything with a minimum of fuss. Like the Edgware Rd location , barely a minute walk across the road to the Tube. Liked the feel of the Hotel , that exciting buzz , of staying somewhere , thats not your average hotel. The Sports Bar was great for watching the Saturday lunchtime Football in style too !! I will return
Great hotel ”
Loved having 3 single beds in our family room no need for sofa bed or sharing
