Not a 4 star hotel
Location to underground - right across the road which was convenient
I was very disappointed with the hotel - I had high expectations given it was a Hilton & rated at 4 star... Took 20 minutes wait to check in. We stayed in the tower wing which is very dated. The room was clean, but bathroom was dated & thr mattress was uncomfortable - I could feel the springs through it. I left a note for housekeeping to provide a shower cap which was ignored for 2 days. Finally on the last day of the stay it was supplied. On check out they tried to charge us for the room which had already been paid for in advance & we had to wait again for it to be checked... The location is good in terms of being across from the underground however there isn't much around in terms of decent cafes or restaurants. We booked through agoda so the price was reasonable for London - but would not stay here again or recommend it

Comfortable hotel in a central part of London
Close to the train station, great buffet breakfast and helpful staff
The Hilton London Metropole is based close to the train station. The rooms were worn out, but the hotel is currently undergoing a renovation. The staff were polite. The buffet breakfast had a lot of variety and was lovely.
