Freshly renovated and looking great.”
We were welcomed by friendly smiling faces and assisted with our early check in. Some booking issues we had were dealt with quickly and efficiently. Some corridors are still undergoing renovation but the public areas are looking fresh, clean and spacious. The buffet breakfast is extensive and the lounge is a nice peaceful space overlooking the large outdoor pool. Located opposite the Royal palace, the entrance to the Palace is visible from the hotel and a pleasant 10-minute walk along the moat. A great hotel in a great location.

Great Hotel, Great Staff”
My friend and I had a great time in Mandalay, and a big part of that was because of the amazing Hilton staff. It isn't an exaggeration to say I've never had a more attentive bar staff in my life, anywhere. It was almost comical how quickly an empty drink would be attended. A front desk manager even invited us out to a local pool party after work, even taking us out for some beers at a local bar. He made it a really local experience and just a fantastic overall time. I highly recommend anyone going to Mandalay and looking for a 5 star experience to choose this hotel.

Great Hotel in a very convenient location”
This was a great Hotel overlooking the Mandalay Hill and palace. Rooms were clean and up to 5 star standard, but slightly a bit old. However, the facilities made up for it with its beautiful oriental, colonial designed lobby and great breakfast. You can easily take lovely photos of the lobby and breakfast lounge to other peoples envy. This is a great place for couples and would definitely stay there again if had the chance.

Staff was GREAT”
We arrived early (colleagues and me; booked different rooms) at 8:30am-ish. They were able to place us in rooms at around 9am and was super nice about it. Room was a good size, and I was able to put my yoga mat down and stretch. The room itself is a bit dated, but as a Hilton chain, it wasn't unexpected. I didn't get to walk around much, but it didn't look like there's much of a convenient store to shop at for random goodies. I had to buy a big bottle of water from the restaurant downstairs, but they offered me another two smaller bottles on the house. Since I'm travelling for work, it's not that big of a deal if I need to buy water, really. The only complaint (sort of) I have, was that they offer refillable water bottles for purchase, asking the guests to "join them on a mission for a greener future". But for a USD$6, 350ml-ish bottle, there's no water station/machine to refill (and I don't think we should trust the tap water there)... what's the point of buying the bottle then?

Best Choice of Hotel in Mandalay ”
The hotel is located facing the Moat. Very nice view at night. The hotel restaurant served good Asian food. Highly recommended.

Excellent Service but hotel is a bit worn - well worth it if you get a good rate”
Staff was amazing - polite and helpful. Location is right across from the Moat and is very central. Breakfast buffet was reasonable. Pool and gym were quite good. My room was quite big and was kept clean, but was showing its age with some outlets not working, some cracks in the walls and stained carpet. Overall, I would go back but would hope to get a cheaper rate than what I ended up with.

This was my first stay at the Hilton Mandalay. The location is excellent (across the road from the palace and close to restaurants) but the facilities were a little disappointing. The gym is in dire need of updating and rooms are a little old fashioned. The quality of food in the grill is so-so. However, breakfasts are excellent and the staff are very helpful and friendly.

Overpriced Business Hotel with tons of tourists!!”
I paid an average USD150 per night but am shocked to find hordes of tourists ... I would prefer to choose another business hotel for my next stay if available in Mandalay. This used to be Sedona branded when I stayed previously. This hotel should learn from ParkRoyal or Pullman Yangon where we don't see throngs of tourists.

Warmest welcome EVER”
I have been travelling a lot the last years and I usually stay in boutique hotels because I like the personalized service they provide. Hilton Mandalay surprised me by delivering exactly this individual and personal level of contact. It all started with the warmest welcome at the reception and continued during my whole stay. My special thank this time goes to Eilyas Aung. Remember? The bird of time has but a short way to fly … But there is always enough time to do an excellent job - as you did.
