Very good for the most part”
The hotel is sprawling, and for the most part, you won't encounter many other guests at the pool, tennis court, lake-side walking path, or even in the hallways or main restaurant. Nay Pyi Taw itself doesn't have a lot to offer in terms of nearby restaurants, so the hotel restaurant is your main bet. I personally had a few hits and misses there. The spa, however, is a hidden gem, where, for instance, you can get a top-notch massage after a long day of meetings for $50.

A bit disappointing for the category it says it is”
Like everything in Nay Pyi Taw, the hotel is extremely large and elaborate. It is spread out over a very large area which, in fact, is rather annoying because services are in one building, rooms in another and distances between all of the activities require a lot of walking. It is vast, but yet the services are not very user friendly. For example, the only real reason most people would even travel to NPT is for business. However, the pool side restaurant allegedly closes at 6 or 6:30 pm, actually we never succeeded in getting back from our business days to see it open. The Fitness Center closes at 8 or 8:30 pm. In short, it's hard for the business traveler to avail himself or herself of many of the amenities that are offered. All of NPT seems way overbuilt for the actual number of guests yet many restaurants close at 9pm. Food at the Hilton was okay but expensive for what it was. The breakfast was nice, but didn't vary and they ran out of eggs one morning which is rather inexcusable for a Hilton. In summary, I've stayed at much better Hilton hotels and much better other brands.

Decent Accommodation in the Hotel Zone”
Decent choice for a stay in Nay Pyi Taw. All hotels are in the "Hotel Zone" so you need transport to get anywhere. The hotel does offer bikes, but there were only 3 when we stayed, so you have to be up early to grab one! The design of the twin rooms was a bit weird with very little space to put toiletries in the bathroom, no place to hang two towels, and a semi transparent glass wall separating the bathroom for the bedroom. So it is best that you know the person you are travelling with or that could get a bit awkward!! The pool space was fantastic with lots of lounges around the water but the pool itself had green mold growing on the bottom. With goggles you could see that it was quite dirty. We did see staff cleaning the pool but this should be looked at as it could become a health hazard. Staff were lovely, breakfast buffet was excellent.

Perfect stay for my business trip.”
5 stars staffs. Especially operation manager Mr. Han Lin Maung came to us every morning & check on us everything is fine during our stay. The staffs give full respect to all the guests. Staffs are well train and we feel very comfortable staying with them. If you need car, they can arrange in house private car for you with reasonable price. Pool is cozy. Gym is clean. Spa is grand and price is a little higher than ouside. ( But worth it ). This Hotel can be family holiday plus business holiday together. I will sure recommand to all the travellers who need 5 star service.

Strangest Place I've Ever Stayed”
This hotel was gorgeous. The decorator and architects should get awards. But it was like being somewhere after a natural disaster. There were no guests. At all. Just me, wandering through empty hallways (sometimes with the lights completely off). The first day I counted 3 people--me and one other couple. The second day, a small Korean tour group showed. My wing of the hotel had 60 rooms and other sections had still more rooms available. So you might think that service in a hotel with so many staff to cater to a much larger potential would be outstanding. But no. As a simple example, there were 7 staff in the dining room and I still had to wait for menus, water, and the check. The bed was not turned down although they clearly had staff available to do so. Given the jaw dropping number of hotels (and especially high end rooms) in the city, to get guests to come and keep coming, a hotel has to provide some kind of special service that draws people in. This Hilton did not do so at all. Service was inconsistent. The pool was undergoing renovation. The spa was fairly hopeless, with a staff member who did not appear to have ever watched a massage on TV, let alone given one before.

The room is large with good bed and a nice living area brightly lit that most hotels dont have. Good buffet breakfast and the staff are extremely excellent polite and courteous.

Sprawling property and comfortable”
Staff were friendly and breakfast were good. A couple of disappointments did not dampen stay. The shortcomings - no convenience store, no replenishment of tea/coffee, chef not in form as meals could be better. Left my camera in room when I checked out. Hotel delivered to airport just as I was boarding the plane. This is exemplary. Thanks!

Excellent facilities, great staff service, really really delicious breakfast spread. The only thing I would say is that the service of pancakes and eggs could be faster, we waited about 15 minutes for 2 pancakes. Other than that, really really excellent experience here.
