Great Location and Comfortable stay”
We went on a rainy day and felt like a Staycation here, view was amazing from the room. Pros: Great Breakfast, and Lunch options, many games for young children including Kidsroom, facilities are great, amazingly friendly local residents Cons: No Shuttle Bus to Odawara on weekends, so have to reach Nebukawa stn. and catch shuttle, and Nebukawa station doesn’t have lift so had to drag my luggage up the stairs, (however the local people and station master were amazingly friendly and helped me out.) Overall it was a worthy stay

Great for Families ”
Hotel and facilities were great but for a Hilton hotel and the amount that you spend for 1 night you would at least expect a bottle of water in your room. They felt a bit cheap by not giving any complimentary waters and you are charged extra for using there facilities such as Spa,Swimming pool,gym.. You would expect everything would of been included in the rooms price.

Overpriced”
The facilities including the swimming pool were very nice. However the room was pretty normal and felt it s little overpriced.

Superb Resort in Odawara Area”
I booked and stayed in this property because it's close to Hakone area and hotel provide shuttle bus to Odawara station, in which we can use our Hakone Free Pass to explore Hakone area. What make me surprise, staying in this hotel and using all the facilities actually really enjoyable, and I'm thinking that we should spend more time exploring what this hotel offer to their guest rather than roam around 2 days in Hakone (which windy and foggy by the time I'm there). You can enjoy Japanese traditional bath in this hotel (very well maintain, well equipped), or you can enjoy an excellent modern water spa facility (they have many pools that the designer really maximize on how water should be enjoyable, such as walking pool, water pressure massage, spinning pool, jacuzzi, etc). They even have whole body hair dryer, swimwear dryer, etc as part of this water spa facility. I haven't got time to explore more other facility than their Onsen and Water Spa (Bade Zone they called it). But to sum it up, it is an excellent resort to enjoy. Just spend your time inside this resort, no need to explore around except you stay more than 3 nights. They have also Golf coaching lesson, painting lesson, etc (I'm not exploring all).

fantatic stay in a beautiful resort. ”
Absolutely gorgeous hotel tucked away in the mountains of Odawara. Great location - just 10 or 15 minutes from Odawara station by either taxi or hotel's complimentary shuttle. Spacious room with stunning view of the ocean where we wer able to take in the fresh air from the balcony. Hotel is located on a big plot of land where you can take a leisurely stroll. Very nice onsen bath and swimming pools. Plenty of other facilities to enjoy - for both adults and children.. very relaxing. not much you can say for buffet but their's was much better (variety & quality) compared to usual Japanese hotel standards. It seems that is it quite common to choose Hakone but after this stay at Hilton Odawara, I will definitely go back and stay here.

Luxurious stay”
We enjoyed our stay at the Hilton Odawara Resort and Spa. While many staff have only limited English they went out of their way to help us and communication was not difficult (mixed with our tiny bit of Japanese!) Great breakfasts, the pools were so relaxing and the regular shuttle bus to and from the train station made getting to the Hakone area for sight seeing very easy.

lovely spa”
The Odawara Hilton Resort and Spa is part of the Hilton Chain( meaning excellent standards) and this coupled with true Japanese high quality service made for a lovely break. All rooms ALL have a great view over the ocean. The spa is world class; yes, it is rather pricey but it is also very professionally run.

Classy, comfortable, accomodating”
The hotel feels like a standard American Hilton with a comfortable touch of Japan. We stayed here to explore Hakone area and go to Kowakien Yunessun. They have a bowling alley, karaoke, arcade, golf, tennis, mini golf, pool, and onsen. My favorite parts were the Bade Zone and Buffet Dinner. The Bade Zone was so beautiful, heated, and a beautiful view. The dinner was delicious and comfortable with a mix of Japanese food and comfort food. Very high quality. I wish I had an extra night there and spent an entire day at the hotel! The shuttle service is so so convenient and the staff are very nice. It takes about an hour of transportation time to get to kowakien yunessun and 30-40 minutes to hakone-yumoto station. I WILL be returning sometime.

relaxing stay in Hilton Odawara”
very pleasant stay in Hilton Odawara. during weekdays there is a shuttlebus service in Odawara station, during weekends the shuttlebus is available only in the station after Odawara. The hotel is on top of the hill; better take a taxi or the bus. excellent sea and mountain view, all rooms have a balcony; the room decoration needs to be refresh but it is totally satisfying. Big indoor swimming pool and hot spring water bath. Morning breakfast buffet average, western breakfast selection limited compared to the Japanese'one. Hotel staff very helpful to plan your trip back to Tokyo or Kyoto:

Beautiful views from your private balcony”
My boyfriend and I wanted a little spring getaway and this seemed ideal; away from the bustle of Tokyo with a beautiful ocean view. Odawara is just a few stops from Hakone and nice onsens. Great location for relaxing at the hotel and wandering in the day. Restaurants and bar was pricey, but there was a store to buy snacks and wine, and sitting on the balcony made for a nice night.

A fabulous resort getaway! ”
Had a wonderful stay at the Odawara hilton hotel , service was impeccable and the swimming pool spa is amazing with different types of whirlpools, water massages etc. The shuttle bus from Odawara station is convenient but would suggest that they run till later in the night if possible , the last bus from Odawara is at 615 and that makes eating dinner out of the hotel difficult. Wonderful breakfast spread but if you're eating in the hotel for lunch or dinner, the menu is quite limited and there is hardly any Japanese food. The hotel is also a little far away from Hakone if you're intending to do sightseeing , however as a resort hotel the Hilton is perfect for a short staycation and is worth every cent!

Lovely hotel and great food”
unfortunately the weather wasnt great while we were in hakone so we didnt get to see mount fuji or any of hakone town. that meant we spent more time in the hotel which thankfully was a pleasure. the hotel staff were very polite and were excellent at speaking english. the cottage was private and i would definately recommend if you have small children as it gives you a chance to have your own space (bedrooms are downstairs and lounge is upstairs). the food in the restaurant is top class and for yen5000 you get a buffet which means you get to try and have as much as you like. the oysters were superb and the meat very tender. there is also an option for all you can drink beer with your meal for yen2500 which as long as you have more than 4 you're saving money. the hotel facilities are superb, they have a whole sports hall and you can do anything from golf, tennis, badmington, table tennis to ten-pin bowling, kareoke, gym and yoga etc - although a lot of these are extra costs which was a bit rubbish. the pool and natural (man-made) spa are free to guests and are excellent. there is an outside connected heated pool which was very relaxing. one thing to note is that the hotel is not located close to anything and you have to travel by train to get to see hakone or mt fuji. i would probably choose a hotel a little closer to hakone if that's what you're after. if you're after a little bit of r&r this is your place.

Excellent”
When we were there, the hot spring facilities were closed for renovation - we were so disappointed as we were looking forward to spending some relaxing time there. To make up for that, they gave us vouchers which we used for dinner. Location is quite remote, you will have to take the shuttle to odawara to get anywhere. Good place to relax and chill.

The most beautiful hotel we have ever been to!”
This was a last minute booking - we were supposed to stay elsewhere but decided to cancel and stay here AND we were so very happy we did!!! We only had 2 nights here and it was not enough. We took the Hotel's free shuttle from the Nebukawa Station and the scenery to the Hotel was wonderful. We arrived at a stunning resort, and were greeted by friendly english speaking staff. We had a late lunch at the TeaLax Lounge which was buffet style with yummy deserts (a chocolate fountain!). Activities that we could do was golf, tennis, swimming, badminton, walking, jogging, bowling, pool, basketball. There was also a video game arcade, Hot Springs, gym. Breakfast was buffet style with mainly Japanese menu and a few Western dishes which was filling. The Hot Springs were fabulous - so relaxing and a first for us. Wish we did this more on our trip to Japan as it was brilliant. Staff was the best we encountered in Japan. I had internet difficulty so staff member, Bando, went out of his way to help me on this. We were given free access to their Club Lounge which was lovely to take our time in whilst waiting for our train to Tokyo. Absolute perfection!!!!!

One of the better resort in Hakone area”
One of the better resort in Japan! Recommend for Couples who wants to have an easy access to Atami. Train station is near by for convenience. Hot springs at the hotel is greatly appreciated after a long day! I recommend for anyone who wants the ocean and mountain view!

Insufficient English-speaking personnel and removed location”
The hotel was situated far from Hakone and nearby Odawara. A shuttle runs hourly but we once were required to get off the shuttle and onto a bus despite the confirmed shuttle service. Most of the staff failed to speak English sufficiently, which made our travels to Hakone difficult and at times, costly. It's a beautiful property but these characteristics contributed to a negative experience.

It was Wonderful.”
It was amazing. We left rested and extended our stay by another day because there was so much on offer. Next time we will add spa and golf to our weekend. The staff was very helpful. I was impressed that everyone knew English. That was great and easy....
