US and Latin in a pot”
This is our second time to stay at this hotel. We were amazed by the view and the location, therefore it became our top list for staying at San Diego. The beach walk was so attractive. Totally in the vacation mode. Some attractions are easy to get to by driving or walking or by public transportation. The old town and convention center are walking distance from the hotel.
clean nice hotel”
It's a nice hotel, clean, modern, good facilities and nice staff. It's one of the Trolley Tour stops. The only thing is its actually a bit far from the main street. You have to walk about 20 min to get to Broadway. It's OK for young people, but not elders if you don't have a car.
Million Dollar View - Great Value”
I was blown away by how nice the hotel was and the price I got it for. Fantastic location with great views of both the city and the bay. The relaxation room in the men's locker room was just what I needed. Very nice touch!
Stayed there as it was close to the Gaslamp Quarter. Was alright for the price we paid and the service was friendly. Parking was not included. In general ok but not a totally outstanding Hotel-experience (we did not expect anyways - all other Hotels were booked out as a baseball match took place during our stay)
Hotel with a class”
Hotel stay was comfortable. Bed and pillows were good. Staff friendly. Easy check in and out. The downside is they don't give complimentary water but you have to purchase for high fee. Also no wifi in rooms.
Very bad experience will never come back ”
we had a very bad experience in this hotel, we were arriving very late to check in and we were very tired, when we got into the hotel, there's no warm welcoming, the staff was super rude, impolite, as this was our honeymoon trip we felt so disappointed with this so call 4 star hotel, location is bad, nothing in there execept the port. And Parking fee is super unreasonable, we park there for two night, they charged us USD60, and no free wifi in room too...everything is overrated in this hotel. we will never come back.
Our weekend excursion.”
Interesting because there was a demonstration outside that woke us up at 7:00 am....tough when you are on vacation. My only complaint was that there was no free internet in our room. Outside of these two items, we enjoyed our stay. We spent every day at the pool relaxing. We enjoyed walking along the promenade along the shore. The view is spectacular. On the weekend the pool was very crowded and felt like a big party. The staff that serviced the pool did an outstanding job with so very many people.
Great Stay with an awesome view”
I had a great time at the Hilton. I came down to celebrate my buddy's birthday and this hotel met all of my needs. Compared to other hotels in San Diego, this might be the best bang for your buck. Highly recommended to anyone, especially solo travelers.
Superb, friendly and helpful staff, gave map of gas lamp district when I inquired about restaurants, staff was smiling and always happy to answer questions and concerns. The view was gorgeous, overlooking the Bay!! I will definitely refer this hotel to friends and family as well as I plan on returning to the hotel as soon as possible! Price was right for a 4-5 star hotel, gas lamp was within walking distance! I will be back hopefully sooner than later!
Aggravated by chinciness with computer access”
The absence of free wifi was expected and detracted from an otherwise pleasant experience. But what ruined my experience was the parallel absence of a complimentary computer-printer for running off my boarding passes. Yes, the ever-friendly staff did refer me upstairs to a UPS business center -- where I would have been charged for the privilege. I declined to do so, deciding to wait until I got to the airport. As a result of this experience, I left the San Diego Bayfront Hilton feeling a bit hostile and certainly without any warm, fuzzy feelings towards the establishment.
Charming City very comfortable hotel”
Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this Hotel. Ig you want to use the City Tour Shuttle book at reception for deals and it stops right outside hotel. Well worth the money for tour of City and over the bridge. Wish I had had longer.
Is good for a day or two stay and not beyond”
It was a pleasant stay at the Hilton San Diego but surprisingly the hotel was not meant for kids - nothing they can enjoy off. Most people come to San Diego for visit to Zoo/ Seaworld with their kids but this didn't had any activities
Very good location and service”
Near the trolley and the Gaslamp Quarter, so I think its a perfect location near the sea. good service provided by staff, very helpful with the questions we asked about the tourist spots. But it cannot connect to Wi-Fi and it's quite convenience.
Lovely hotel room with nice view”
What I really liked are the location of the Hotel and the view fron the room. The view from my room was so wonderful, and my camera was just not good enough to take a shot for the whole bay scenery. I also enjoyed complementary wireless internet at the lobby. I also enjoyed fresh Casear salad and the fish soup for the dinner in Vela Restaurant. The bartender was gentle and kind enough to answer to my questions on the various food style.
Wonderful bay view, great location, great service”
We only stayed one night in San Diego but we had a great time because of the good choice for hotel. It is beautifully located and is close to convention center, rail transit, 2-min drive to Coronado island, 5 min walk to gas lamp area. We walked to gas lamp and found lots of nice restaurants, bars and shops spread in several blocks in gas lamp area. Guess it will be much more exciting at night. Pity we have to leave the next day. I had a little trouble opening my room door but bellman Paul was kind enouth to keep me company and offered a lot of help for our sight seeing the next day. He even gave two complimentary coupons for drink and food in Starbucks in the hotel building. Thank you Paul.
great location and great hotel”
We had a wonderful weekend getaway to San Diego. The hotel was very nice. The room was clean and relatively new-looking with a nice partial view of the bay. The room was a good average size. Housekeeping was good, but discreet. We hardly ever saw them, but our rooms were clean and beds were made whenever we got back. Designer toiletries smelled nice.
great location, nice service”
It is a really nice hotel. Nice service and great location. Easy to get anywhere I want via bus or trolley. View is also great! The best thing is the sunset view in the second floor. Only bad thing is that no free WiFi. Need extra payment.
Great hotel in central location. Rooms and bathroom spacious. Only negatives are that there is no fridge in room and that you pay for parking every day of your stay.
great location on marina and is close to the downtown ”
Food is perfect , there is one lady in Concierge she helps me to contacted my airlines I appreciated her the bar restaurant
Quite a pleasant stay
