Very mediocre and old”
Entrance was beautiful with huge pics. The room is big but too warm. We had to keep window opened for the cool air outside. Shower is not strong. Breakfast is not great, poor quality. We stayed in New world Beijing and was impressed. This hotel is only good for location n bed.
The service and facilities are excellent!”
The services and facilities are excellent! The staffs were very friendly and the guy works at the swimming pool called Kim was very helpful! The concierge explained details and clear instruction and gave us a few options how to spend the remaining time in Xian doing the sightseeing. I will definitely use Hilton again when I go back to xian next time.
A nice stay ”
They offered us a promotional upgrade to the executive lounge for about 100 RMB extra (between two) on top of the breakfasts we were going to get anyway. This gave 2 hours of free flow alcohol including help yourself to spirits and a unlimited selection of 'finger food' buffet. It was awsome.
Luxury in the central city” ”
Great room, view was of tenements across the street, hotel is cubed with a central court yard. Food was good in the main dining room, with a lot of local specialites so haved a lot of hassle of having to do street food.
Great Hotel, Great Service”
Great hotel. first time we had stayed at a 5 star hotel and it lived up to our expectations. We were greeted by bellhops as soon as we stepped foot onto their premesis and they took our bags and while we were waiting to check in, were given two ice cold bottles of water. Brilliant! Rooms were large and very comfortable. Gym, bar and restaurant were all great. Be warned however, that as this hotel is quite new and you will struggle to find anyone that speaks english, its best to be prepared and have a map as to where abouts the hotel is. We walked around for 3 hours trying to get directions for it. no taxi drivers would take us there from the centre of the city (may be too close). Once we finally found the hilton though, our terrible start to the day was quickly forgotten.
Convenient! Comfortable! ”
We are experience the warm & supportive in Cafe & restaurant in Hilton! We are highly appreciated of Alex Fu high performance to recommend & arrangement transportation with special care and beyond the service! Always special care with my 88 years old dad need! Always do better than the necessary! Always with smile & warm greeting! Always concern our need with heart!
Quiet, clean and central”
The buffet breakfast at this hotel was not what I had hoped for. There was little in the way of a fresh fruit selection. The food was not really all that warm such as the eggs, little pancakes or waffles and the toast had to be put through the toaster 3 times before it was toast. The fist morning there were chefs there at their stations so you could ask for freshly cooked items the second morning they weren't there and the food was cold. If you dont care about breakfast, the rest of my stay there was good.
Not the best location”
Xian is a rather old city in my mind but I do expect more when I spent that money for hotel. Hilton Xian has good and bad. The good side is that it's located very close to the local restaurants and famous "YungXinFong", the bad side is that it's located in a rather old area. I do not feel like staying in these areas during a vacation and I do expect more when I spent that money for a hotel. Everything is nice except the location, but for some people it might be a good pick to enjoy the local vibe.
Nice Hotel Right in the Heart of Xian”
The hotel is a bit dated but still quite nice. Staff are excellent, especially the Concierge. Extremely helpful with directions and advices. Breakfast selection and quality was also very good.
Great hotel, upgraded to executive rooms which were great as was the breakfast. Hotel is a bit of distance to the main attractions (a 20 / 30 min walk) but taxis are cheap and the walk itself is very nice. Staff at the hotel are always very helpful and room service is incredible!
Nice hotel, well located for tourist sites”
Good stay in a nice hotel, conveniently located for walking the city walls, the bell tower and the big goose pagoda. We dined in the Chinese restaurant which was a good standard. There are also a lot of snacks available at a food market just outside. The rooms were comfortable, clean and a good size.
Great value for money hotel”
After quite a drive from the airport when you arrive at the the hotel the reception area is instantly appealing and immaculate. We had dinner in the Chinese restaurant which was first class and the standard of the rooms was very good. As we were only staying for a few nights we only booked a guest room which was to the front of the hotel. The room was very good but there is a lot of traffic noise from the Chinese drivers who like to use their car horns ' quite a lot'. This did not put us off but I think that some people would find it annoying. We also paid for breakfast which was just OK.
Wonderful and Comfortable Hotel”
I loved this hotel as it was in a good location and the room was wonderful. I slept so well as the bed was very comfortable and the rooms are so quiet. The bathroom was so nice if I was to remodel my bathroom I would copy their design as they utilize the space very well and it is so nice. There is a glass panel that separates the bedroom from the bathroom and if you want privacy you push a button and the shade goes down. The rain shower was awesome as I took several showers because I liked it so much. The room was very modern and had all the amenities I needed so I was very happy. The staff were very accommodating as they helped me book a private car and driver so I could go to the Terracotta Warrior exhibit. Ivy was very helpful and speaks good English. I really felt that most of the staff were very helpful and accommodating. The room safe is excellent as I felt my stuff was secure. The only concern I had was I came back to my hotel room and my door was unlocked. Nothing was stolen, but still concerning. The issue was the room did not always lock after the maid was in the room. For whatever reason when she swiped her card to open the room the door did not lock afterwards. In the morning I showed the maid this and she made sure to swipe her card again to lock the room so no more problems after that so you just need to double check your door. Make sure before you leave the room that you plan out your destinations and either know what buses you are taking or have the addresses in Chinese. Cabs are plentiful but they are picky about where they take you so be prepared. I was not prepared and walked a lot. Overall, Xian was nice and I would stay at the Hilton Xian again as it is an excellent hotel. Make sure to check out the food vendors across the street as they open about 10 pm and the street is transformed into one big outdoor late night restaurant.
Luxurious retreat in Xi'an city”
The Xi'an Hilton is definitely one of the more luxurious hotels to be found in the city, and it is a treat to step into one of their well-appointed rooms at the end of a long day of exploring. The tours desk is extremely helpful and went out of their way to help us organize our trip to Mt Hua, which is a must-do. Staff are friendly and approachable, and most speak good English.
Excellent Hotel - Good Value for Money”
The stay at the Hilton Xian was excellent in all aspects, we got an upgrade for just a little extra payment, the Hotel looks pretty new, rooms are large and luxury, food is great. The only negative is the bar, where the staff is slow, rude and of course cannot mix any standard drink (Cocktail), but that is most Hotels in China..
Pay extra for an executive suite!”
Extremely well appointed room on the Executive Floor, (eg. HDMI & USB connections to the Lounge Room TV from study desk). The additional services available with an Executive Suite were well worth the extra outlay in cost (eg. "Happy Hour" and breakfast served in the Executive Lounge, express checkin-in/out via dedicated staff in the Executive Lounge). The concierge service wasn't as slick as I would have expected from this standard of hotel, however a little patient waiting goes a long way in China. They don't like to say no, so sometimes yes means no and 1 minute means 10 ! Management were swift and thorough when responding to a complaint (damage to my tablet computer), however language differences made the interaction difficult and protracted, and ultimately it was not resolved from my perspective (oh well, that's what travel insurance is for!). Located within and in close proximity to the old town wall (East Gate). Overall a very pleasant stay, an oasis from the hubbub & pollution outside.
The best service provides unforgettable experience”
The facilities at Hilton Xi'an is as good as any 5 star hotel. It is comfortable, clean and has great food. The location was convenient, close to the metro and walking distance from several popular tourist sites. The best feature of the hotel is the staff - the reception desk staff, the concierge, the staff at Cafe Xi'an where we had our breakfast, the staff of the executive lounge, the people who staff "magic" (the number you call when you need any kind of help - were all superb. Everyone was not only friendly and completely courteous, they were genuinely friendly and went out of the way to provide service that is exceptional. I had a 13month old with me and the staff at Cafe Xi'an would do everything to be helpful - get me my food and any thing I needed including being genuinely friendly to me and my daughter. When she caught a cold, a staff at the executive lounge made us special pear tea for her cough and served me and my friend as well. When my daughter did not get better and I decided to take her to the hospital the staff at Magic and reception gave me all the information i needed on how to get to the hospital, arranged a cap and a hotel staff to accompany me. I would have been totally lost in the hospital even though I spoke some mandarin. At the end of the trip, when we returned, several staff came up to us to inquire if my daughter was all right and offered to send up a bowl of oatmeal and the staff who accompanied us for several hours refused the tip I offered. By the end of our week stay, we felt like we were leaving a family of friends behind who knew us and cared about us. It is the exceptional staff and service that makes this hotel stand out beyond any other 5 star hotels we have stayed in. We went on to Guangzhou to a bigger more posh hotel with lots of staff, but the quality of service was just not the same.
This is one of the best Hilton hotels we have stayed in, staff very helpful, we booked an Executive Room and was well worth the extra. The rooms were gorgeous, hotel throughout was very clean. Would recommend this hotel.
Nice hotel in a great location”
the location is great with good amenities. nice spacious room with great ameneties. fast room service with great food. beds were comfortable. the staff were very helpful. i liked the media plugin on the wall that allowed me to connect my camera and review the video on the. room tv.
Great stay in Xi'an!”
Stayed 2 nights at the Xi'an Hilton. Check-in was quick, efficient and friendly. It was easy to convert currency at the hotel. They gave good directions to the city wall, arranged for a car, driver, and English-speaking guide for a day (7 hours) at a reasonable price. The guide, Helen was a former English teacher and very informative as well as very nice. We went to Ban Po Neolithic site, factory to see how terra cotta warriors were made, saw the terra outta warriors (amazing!), then went to a small art museum where we got a tour from the very witty Rebecca and got to practice calligraphy--great fun and very interesting. Bell staff helped us get a motorbike pulled carriage to the Muslim Quarter when we got back in the afternoon. A 20 minute walk back to hotel. My adult daughter's tummy was a bit off after 5 days traveling so we ate at the Sofitel just a black and a half from the Hilton--Xi'an style spinach noodles were abundant and delicious. Ate at a clean and good Chinese restaurant across from the Hilton one night, too. Hotel swimming pool was very large. Bell staff arranged for taxi to airport. Few English speakers in Xi'an so get hotel staff to write destinations on paper and pick up a hotel card to show taxi drivers or ask for directions. We felt safe and comfortable in the very nice hotel and room.
