Stunning view of Zhongshan ”
Stayed at executive floor which is way higher than all the buildings in the city. We were able to see miles away. The shopping mall downstairs has everything you need. Location is at the center of the city and you can go anywhere easily.
Not so good!”
I don’t know my reservation is friendly room then I would like to change to be a regular room. Sadly, the regular was sold out and the front desk girl just told me there is a way to solve as you may upgrade your room, but you need to pay 400 RMB more. Also, she told me that I should determine as soon as possible since the upgrade room will be sold out very soon....,what a five stars hotel like this attitude! No solution at all. The only one solution pay more and you can make evrything happen!!!
big and cozy bed”
We were arranged to have the 40th floor room, which enable us to enjoy the whole city view. the Chinese restaurant on 54th floor was amazing, the dim sum there was perfect! bed is cozy and big enough. it is worth for value.
Hotel staff are polite and helpful. Had a very plesant stay. The only thing I want to complain is it is complusory to put on a swimming cap to enter the swimming pool. We did not notice that beforehand and everyone of us had to spend RMB22 for the swimming cap.
Great Luxury Hotel in middle of town”
Spent 3 nights here with my girlfriend during Chinese national holiday. The hotel were full of families and couples alike. Before going into hotel, we were already impressed by the hotel building which was by far the tallest building in the middle of town (the Sheraton across the river was relatively a dwarf). The hotel lobby was spacious and grand, reception staff were professional and typically can handle English/Cantonese/Mandarin. The 'deluxe corner' room we booked were indeed at a corner - huge windows facing north/east (although east were blocked by the other tower). Room was very clean, big TV, good sized bed, complete with sofa and a nice window-side bathtub. Very nice indoor 25M swimming pool complete with Children-friendly side pools. A comprehensive gym and various SPA options as well as tennis court. Food: 1. Room service - generally well presented but quality of ingredients were not great 2. Horizon Bar - being on 59/F gives a nice view, but beware of minimum charge required for a window seat/table. Drinks were ok and reasonably priced. 3. Western restaurant (Italian/Spanish) - on 58/F, rather empty when I was there (probably most families went for the buffet on 3/F). Food were ok in general but not spectacular. However, at the end of the meal they came to us with a birthday cake for free that was a pleasant surprise. A big plus for this one. 4. Japanese Restaurant a high-end Japanese restaurant serving rather authentic Japanese food. The place is culturally decorated and again, being on 57/F gives unbeatable view. Buffet on 3/F was so popular that we didn’t get to try as it was full. Lihe Plaza, that is right next to the hotel (you can access it directly from 1~3/F), offers a good selection of restaurants and shopping choices plus a cinema. Go out of the hotel main gate, slightly to the left on the main road is a bus stop. Bus 12 takes you to the Sun Yat Zen memorial garden/house and back. Taxi there would cost around 65RMB.
A nice surprise, great hotel.”
I have stayed in Zhongshan before and hotels have not been great. This is as good as most western hotels in China and as it is new everything works well as well. Food was reasonable and service good. Taxi from port was not done by metre, it was fixed price which actually wasn't that bad so no complaints.
nice hotel ”
nice hotel. but room with bad smell when checking in .need going back to front desk to ask for room change. but front desk staff looks no so happy for ask room change and show me that sad face. Have breakfast at 3 meal restaurant. service did not meet the basic requirements . need more training. one of station serve needles.the chef always showing unhappy face and bed attitude.
Brown Water - Polluted”
WATER IN TUB AND SHOWER WAS BROWN. TERRIBLE WATER AS IT SMELLED LIKE SHIT. THIS HOTEL IS TERRIBLE AS THE ELEVATORS ARE SELDOM TURNED ON AND YOU WAIT FOR 15 MINUTES FOR ELEVATOR TO ARRIVE. FOOD IS GARBAGE AS WELL.
Overall I felt good about the hotel. Food/restaurants are in reach with no hassle of finding a stop to fix a hungry tummy - choices are fairly wide as well. Room temperature is disappointing though. It was very warm even thought we reported to front desk.
This hotel is unsanitary as towels small, water is polluted, food is under cooked and the staff is clueless. No heat in winter time in hotel as owner is cheap. Cannot wait for JC Marriott to open as Hilton hotel is non at all worth the selection.
Slow escalators and you will wait 15 minutes to simply go down. Rooms are a mess and the food is terrible. I dislike this hotel and the mgt team is worthless.
Location is next to a mall and lots of eateries nearby. Breakfast spread was fabulous and staff were great!
Breakfast is like cattle crossing while food is cold and ill prepared. Electricity goes out all the time and the water is brown from sewage. Skip this hotel and reside at the Sheraton.
Typical Chinese Hotel with slobs all around spitting in hallway and smoking in designated non smoking area. Like living with pigs as this is what you get when you stay at this hotel.
beautiful hotel very helpful
nice hotel great central location nice breakfast
BEAUTIFUL HOTEL FOR ITS AGE, VERY MODERN AND LARGE ROOMS. BREAKFAST IS AMAZING .
CLOSE TO AMENITIES , WALKING DISTANCE TO RESTAURANTS
I have stayed in this hotel several times, realy great location, walking distanace to the shopping center and restaurants, great clean comfortable rooms, staff speaks good enough english,
Cannot wait for Marriott to open as Hilton in Zhongshan is a terribly managed property. Food is not hygenic while no heat during winter. Savages everywhere as no security. Skip this hotel for certain as Mgt and Owner are clueless.
