This river front resort is sit right on the Ping river bank with beautiful full view of the historical memorial bridge. (The resort is about 50 meter from the main highway). The owner "Khun Kan" was always there to see what her tenants needed. She also up early every morning to cooks b/f (full American + rice soup and local desert) to our like. The nights we stayed there were cold, she did notify us and bring extra blankets which I felt like this is what they call HOSPITALITY and SERVICES MIND! There was a cute and polite young kitty cat that always came to welcome us so we brought him in to sleep in our room at nighs. The only minus is the distance to town is about 8 kilometers, you will need scooter to get around. But we preferred that coz we like to soak in the hot springs nearby every early cold morning which is about 5 mins by a scooter. This is the second times we stayed there and will be again and again! Thx, Khun Kan..
+enjoy to stay on this quite cosy place. good ABF nice view to river and memorial bridge comfortable bed and pillows - No coffee/tea provided in the room location far from city (8km,) but for us is doesn't matter
Thank you so much.
Nice cosy resort”
Everything is fine.Cosy bungalows with view to Memorial Bridge. We has booked family room (full house with 2 connecting rooms) with garden view and deluxe River view bungalow. ABF was fine. Recommend this resort to Travelers who want to stay far from city action and just enjoy cosy quite view to river
Had a great stay! The manager of the place is lovely and helpful. Breakfast is fulfilling and tasty. A bit far from the city, 15-20min by motorbike (specially when driving back at night), but it was ok and it's close to tourist attractions (canyon, hot springs...). Would recommend for those looking for a quite place to enjoy Pai. Also, the place is well cleaned.
Great location IF you have a vehicle. A bit far out from Pai town but near memorial bridge and very scenic and quiet. Bed was quite hard (even for Thailand). Room was very good otherwise and shower had good pressure! Staff were very friendly.
Perfect for us”
Homestead style accommodation in a quiet Serene area. Owner/staff very friendly. I would love to stay longer next time. Perfect place for us to stay. Great breakfast and rooms.
Lovely staff and Yummy breakfast”
Eating a good and freshly made breakfast on a terrace with a nice view on the river to start the day, Great! Close to one of the hot spring. Outside of the Center of pai, so it is quiet for sleeping... No loud musique of the bar and no waking up at 5am by the Imam as in the Center of Pai. Really lovely place. Plus the owner really care about your stay .
I would say the lady owner was very attentive with lots of service mind compare to more than ten places we've ever stayed in Pai. She even brought us two extra blankets without asking and said, it would be a cool night... She done all the delicious breakfast cooking for every guest with American b/f and local specialty every morning by herself while we were there. B/F area was a plus with historical bridge view to enjoy the morning meal. The facility is a bit far from town but motorbike rental was at the premise. This resort is highly recommend if you know how to ride a scooter (lots of fun doing that though). Will return to Him Nam Pai for the next visit for sure!!!
Impossible to get a good night' s sleep”
Impossible to get a good nights sleep because of noisy neighbors, an comfortable bed, And bright exterior lights and the lack of black out curtains. The breakfast was extremely unappetizing. It consisted of a savory porridge with grizzly lumps of pork. this was followed by fried eggs a few leaves of lettuce without a dressing, A sliver of bacon, two small pink carcinogenic sausages the kind they sell in 7-Eleven, White sliced bread and powdered coffee. Anyone hoping for wholemeal bread for toast and eggs cooked as an omelette with fresh coffee would need to find another place to stay. The resort was not full. There was a whole line of empty Bungalows. If the owner had used her intelligence she would have placed the foreigner who asked for a quiet room at one end of the Bungalows and the young Thais who wanted to drink whiskey and talk all night at the other end. But she didn't use her intelligence or show any for thought or consideration for her guests.
Thank you for your comments and we were sorry that we couldn't provide meet your expectations we would like to explain you as following: 1. For noisy neighbors; If night time you couldn't sleep due to the noisy neighbors, you can inform to the front desk. You came during the weekend and high season. The resort almost full for the River View Deluxe rooms. It was only one room left. It was not the whole line empty as you mentions. However, we tried to provide the quiet and good view room for you. 2. For the Breakfast; Actually, we were surprised that you were the first customer within 5 years to complain our breakfast. We think we provide for full breakfast. We have Thai style (Thai porridge) and American style with salad ( we had salad dressing on the table). We provide both for one customer. We also had bread , tea ovaltine , coffee ( powdered coffee ), fruits. As we know the reviews from Thai customers and foreigners were impressed for breakfast. Thank you
Great location for non-party people”
Great location (near the Canyon, hot springs, the bridge ...) if you don’t want to be in the city. It is calm and silence here. Rent a motorcycle for 100-150 bahts per day and you will have an amazing time here. The room was clean (they cleaned it everyday when we left), but yes you will see little ants in the room (specially if you have food). If you dont need 5 stars hotels, this place is really worth it ! The bed is hard, but I would still recommend it!
Quaint spot a distance from town”
A nice spacious room with quaint laid-back aesthetic. The staff is this amazingly nice and friendly lady, gave the place an extra vibe of homely warmth. We enjoyed the view from the dining area! Quite far out from centre of town, not a problem with a motorbike though... Unless it is raining, but that depends on the season. Also, not the best choice if you are planning to be partying or drinking in town at night, because night rides back from town can bleedingly dark. Trying to acquire late night munchies can be an issue too, so always buy extra food back from the market if you are a late night muncher. :D
We loved the location, 16 min from city center of pai. Quiet. Beutiful view. Very clean kind service”
We couldnt understand from the map where we are going to be. We considered few places and then realized how lucky we were to chose him naam. Candy the host is very sweet. We had bikes to travel all around. We booked for 2 nights and sateyed 5.
Great quiet place”
We only stayed one night but wished we had time for another. This place was great! Hot water, yes a firm mattress, wifi in the room was ok, staff was very friendly and helpful.
Gorgeous view out from your cabin”
place to relax and rejuvenate. Pretty view to wake up to. Reasonable price. Clean and nice accomodation Abit far from town, no coffee tea provided?
Nice quiet bungalows near the river.”
This hotel is about 7km out of Pai. It is next to a river and in the middle of a beautiful valley. The bungalow was very clean and the staff pretty friendly and helpful.
The best place to experience what actually Pai is”
This was my second time in Pai and I couldn’t have asked for a better place. Last time I stayed in town, by the hot springs, and in the middle of rice fields. This time, I only stayed here. The hosts are really friendly and helpful, and they put the best effort to make sure your stay is comfortable and home-like. We woke up with buffalos by the river facing the memorial bridge on the side of amazing breakfast ready for us. Even if it rains, don’t be disappointed. You will see beautiful fireflies flying around at night. A cute cat, sometimes visiting, was a definite a plus for us.
Peaceful resort with remarkable hosts”
If you want to get away from crowds this is a place for you. Please note the place is some 8 km away from Pai centre but we actually loved it as rented a 650 cc motorbike and were driving around for nearly a week. We booked lastminute and got 30% off. Stayed at a very comfortable bungalow close to Pai river. The owner let us light a bonfire close to the river. We enjoyed quiet evening, stargazing, with couple of beers. The breakfast was very good especially thai soup.
ABSOLUTE BLISS is the only way to describe this place. The setting is perfect. It is based near the bridge 15 minutes before you get into Pai. If you have transport which I imagine you will... it is in perfect view of the sunset and the owner switches the lights off for an hour to view the stars at night. Talking about the owner/chef he is an amazing person. You dont feel like a client renting a room but a friend who is staying at another friends house.. he was extremely hospitable and generous person. We went for a long weekend and had an awesome time. Granted Pai is 10-15 minutes by bike but the peace and quite and the views totally justify staying at this charming place.
It is a great place to stay outside of Pai at the Memorial Bridge. Many sights are nearby. Super room, a wonderful view and a great individual breakfast. The owners are very nice and help with all questions. Whether it is the rental of motorcycles, the planning of excursions or the arrival and departure. I will definitely come again, it is like a second home. :)
a bridge too far”
We arrived in Pai on a minibus from Chiang Rai. We discussed a few options to get us and our gear to the hotel. No idea where it is, just out of town I think. We settle on using a cab to go to it. Everyone we talked to said long way. Thais think 200 metres is a long way so wasn't concerned. We drove for at least for 30 minutes back on the road I'd just traveled. Finally we crossed a bridge over the Pai River, hung a left then 50m, there. Instant thought is I'm going to rent a scooter. Stupid, I should, have gone back with same taxi but decided to help my partner unpack. Turns out next to impossible to get a taxi, shuttle or whatever to town. With my Thai partner we asked all the, street vendors, no luck but there is a bar here so we thought we needed a cold one. It Waa then a lady come in and said for a few baht she would give me a ride in on her scooter. Great now just have to carefully pick these notorious Pai scooter rental places. I picked one on instinct and started to discuss prices. He showed me a couple but I told him I was interested in the shitter on the end. Damaged bodywork, rough as. Motor was strong and we negotied a good price, 100b a day. Went right over the bike with rental guy then I got his workmate involved plus boss lady. I continued telling them what a shitter it was and thanked them fir offering to change it and rent me a more expensive bike. No so thanks but I tell you now I will not be paying for any damage when I return it. Boss lady and all the boys, said there will not be problem. Ok but next day pulled up at the rental p lace and my Thai partner started Tel ling them in Thai what a heap of crap it is. Knew they would remember me now. Anyway could not personally enjoyed my time here without my own transport. There are so many things to go see in this region and having own transport makes it possible to explore or drink and eat your day away in town and extended region then return to your bungalow where you can just relax and forget
