A classic example of false advertising ”
We were 4 people (2xcouples) traveling to Sapa as one of our last destinations in Vietnam - a beautiful country and town btw. Unfortunately, except for a fantastic view from the balcony outside our room and the dining area, this “Hotel” does nothing else correctly. The photo’s are of people on the balcony having a great time and the rooms in a condition they might have been in about 10years ago. Now the veranda is being used as a dishwashing area, storage for empty crates and dirty glass fish tanks (I have the photos to prove this). The staff is clueless with regards to hospitality- laughed at me when I went to ask if they could ask the neighbours to turn down their music at 23:00, rooms not ready for check-in 2hrs after listed check-in time, working on motorbike in foyer, etc. To summarize, basically services equal to dorm. Rather pay 5$ and stay in dorms.

Acceptable”
The hotel is located at a good place. Front desk staff was ok but the staff prepared for breakfast was terrible and always said not enough food for breakfast. There are many tourists at the weekend so it is very noisy and no staffs notice anyone keep quite. For this price, tourists should choose newer hotel because the facilities are very old

Should be closed down”
This hotel should not be open for business. The entire hotel is in such a state of disrepair it would be condemned if it was in Canada. The other 8 hotels we stayed in while travelling through Vietnam were clean and lovely but this one was filthy, the lobby area was a mess, the pipes in the bathroom leaked all over the floor, the whole bathroom was covered in mould and the dining room patio, which online shows people sitting at tables and smiling, is closed to guests and covered in garbage. Agoda should be ashamed for falsely advertising this hotel.

Great hotel”
We had a great experience staying at the Hmong Sapa Hotel. The staff was great, very helpful and very friendly. The location is great - although you have to walk up a bit from the town center, it was great to be a little outside the busy and very touristy town center; the hotel was very quiet and relaxing, especially after long days of trekking. The view from our room was unbelievable and made our stay even better. The room was very comfortable and nicely decorated and the bathroom, especially the shower, was great for post-trekking showers. Overall, great experience and we would highly recommend Hmong Sapa Hotel.

Just perfect!”
We really enjoyed our stay in Hmong Sapa especially with the big help from Mr. Dung. He speaks great English. He arranged us a Bac Ha sunday market tour and Ta Van village tour. He gave us a lot of tips in the area. When my husband had a stomach problem, he even gave us tablets and this worked great! When I later had a stomach problem as well, I took it and worked well. The hotel is in a good location. It takes about 10 minutes to walk to the main street. But near the hotel, there are little restaurants, bars and bakeries. The room has a beautiful view of mountain. It was very peaceful. The room is clean, spacious, WIFI worked great. The breakfast was good. We will be definitely stay in Hmong Sapa again. Highly recommended! Thank you Mr. Dung again for your help and hospitality! We keep in touch.

LOvely hotel in beautiful surroundings”
If I return to Sapa, I will not think twice about where to stay. The Hmong Sapa hotel was beautifully decorated with local handicrafts. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the restaurant was excellent. It is located a very short easy walk to downtown Sapa but it is quiet there at night. They have a shop on site with beautiful textiles at good prices. Make sure you see Vu, the shop owner, she is a lovely person and so helpful. She taught my daughter how to do the local embroidery. I loved my time there and wish I could have stayed longer.

Brilliant views,staff and location”
Our stay in Sapa was the highlight of our trip to Vietnam.Phil,Hoa and all the wonderful staff at Hmong Sapa hotelall helped to make our stay here one of our most memorable anywhere in the world.Phil and Hoa are the most thoughtful hosts we have ever had,and are passionate about ethnic minority culture. This hotel is one of a very small number that employ the local, delightful Hmong people. The on site Hmong shop is run by 2local Hmong ladies,no pressure to buy, just big smiles and lots of info and beautiful handcrafted pieces. From pick up to drop off, everthing just went smoothly. The views are to die for, some the best we had seen anywhere.10/10

Feels like 5 star Hotel”
I have booked a standard room. I arrived Sapa quite early with the train. And it is normal where the room is not ready such early in the morning at 8 am. I have rented a motorbike from the hotel with a good price and start my day in Sapa to nearby Cat Cat village. When we were back to the hotel at 10 am, the room still not ready yet. It is ok where the check in time is not so early for the hotel normally. So my wife and I ordered breakfast set, sitting outside the restaurant, enjoy our breakfast with great mount Fansipan in front of our eyes!! Wow!! So enjoyable!! Not only the view, but the alacarte breakfast set is just so delicious!! And we were so lucky that Mr.Luan upgraded our room to junior suite room with no extra charges as our standard room is still not ready. The room is big, nice view from the room straight to mount Fansipan!! The every each of the staff in the hotel speak English, and they are very helpful. They show we the way to sightseeing by motorbike, they recommend me which tracking trip we should join, and they show me how to get enjoy in Sapa. The daily breakfast is wonderful with fresh fruit juice with no added extra water. Some people said t is a bit far from the town. But for me it is just 10 mins walk and I could stay far from the traffic and busy town. Location is not an issue here. I am rarely give such high score for the hotel that I have stay. But H'muong Hotel worth all the star that I have given.

Quaint, comfortable hotel - excellent service”
After a tiring overnight journey by train, we were greeted by lovely staff with excellent English skills and a cup of addictive cinnamon and ginger tea. By luck, we were able to check in early and after freshening up in their charming and cozy room, the staff provided us a map of the area and recommendations for sights. Though they have many tours led by Hmong women available, they never pushed us to take one of their tours. That night, we returned to the hotel for dessert wanting to try the hotel's creme brulee only to find they had run out. One of the helpful staff in the restaurant mentioned the dessert might be available the following afternoon. As we were waiting for our shuttle bus that is arranged by the hotel, the same staff member remembered our request and offered us the delicious creme brulee for afternoon tea. Perfect way to end our Sapa trip. P.S. The view is just as beautiful as the many photos suggest!

Great Hotel”
We had a great time @ Hmong Sapa Hotel, the upgraded us to a VIP Room which was really nice, staff were very friendly and helpful, rooms were well fitted out. Rooms do need to have WIFI and a safe in the rooms is the only problem I have with this hotel (safe was a real problem, it was @ the front desk draw with a key for a lock, which any staff can use. Other than that I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Best location to see the view of Fansipan Mountain”
We were on a honeymoon in Sapa Vietnam and we spent two nights at Hmong Sapa HOtel. Our room was on the 6th floor which give the best view of Fansipan Mountain. The restaurant terrace also provide the panoramic view of the mountain. We had dinner among the cloud! It was such a great and nice hotel we would highly recommend.

Lovely hotel with gorgeous mountain views.”
Hmong Sapa Hotel was a lovely place to stay, could not get enough of the mountain views which you can enjoy while having breakfast or tea on the terrace. On my second day, i casually mentioned that i was feeling a little chilly while i was going back to my room, and few minutes later, the staff had a honey ginger tea delivered to my room.

Wonderful place to stay!”
We loved our stay at Hmong Sapa. Dzhung, the manager on site was extremely helpful, spoke great English and helped us organize an authentic tour of one of the hill tribes. The hotel itself was great, newly built, nice rooms and bathrooms and an amazing view to top it all off. The restaurant has delicious, local and organic fare and their local cinnamon tea is a must. Definitely recommend staying here.

Fantastic, memorable, culturally interesting”
An absolute joy. The staff was great. From the moment we arrived to the when we left they were welcoming and helpful. Beyond the comfort and quality of the accommodation, they helped to organise several treks for us that were exactly what we had hoped for. I have nothing but positive things to say about the Hmong Sapa Hotel.

An amazing travel experience!”
Our stay at the Sapa H'mong hotel has been the standout memory of our travels through Vietnam.. The staff are truly what make this experience so special. Phil, Hoa and their team went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and also took the time to help us understand the the people of Sapa. They gave us perspective which has truly enriched our lives. Don't worry about booking tours before you come as it is best to make up your mind once you arrive. We had pre organised a tour with a separate company prior to arrival which was terrific but typical of the majority of trekking tours run from Sapa town. Ethos - a new tour company run from the hotel deliver truly authentic experiences. We had an amazing time meeting a local H'mong family and sharing in the preparation and cooking of a meal as part of our day organised with Ethos. We wish we'd had more time to take in some of their other experiences! Both the hotel and Ethos aim to give back to the local community, this sentiment and action resonate with us!
