Charming Old Style Resort”

If you are expecting a new modern western style resort, this is not the one, but if you are looking for a quiet "Vietnamese Village" style resort, Ho Tram Beach Boutique Resort & Spa is perfect for you. Our stay here was totally pleasant. I would like to share some info as below: - Pros: Room is spacious, bed is very comfy, towels are new and clean. Every detail in this resort is aimed to be old style, very charming. The resort provides lemongrass essential oil in room to get rid of mosquitoes, together with mosquito nets, love them. Breakfast is basic but delicious. Beach is clean. - Cons: Swimming pool water is too much chlorine smelly (both pools). The sea waves in Ho Tram area is strong so not very suitable for swimming in the sea (I saw none guest in the sea during my stay there). Rooms are not soundproof, you can hear everything people staying next room say, even if they don't speak loudly.

Relaxing, beautifully landscaped getaway, but....”

Peace and quiet, lovely gardens, quality rooms

My wife and I have stayed at this resort several times, usually travelling from Ho Chi Minh where we live, for a weekend break. Every time we've been it's been a thoroughly relaxing experience and the staff have been great. Imagine our horror then when we arrived on Friday and there was a 'Team-building' event underway. A stage set up on the beach by the beach-bar with loudspeakers and then the arrival of several coachloads of Vietnamese guests for the evening. I talked to the manager - who was extraordinarily apologetic - but he couldn't promise it wouldn't happen again. At least Saturday and then Sunday, were back to the usual calm. I appreciate the resort needs to make money but I suspect that they will lose custom from people who don't enjoy listening to the rowdy, loud noises being made by large groups of other people in what should be a tranquil setting. Please, please, please, Ho Tram Beach Resort. Rethink this policy. I would suggest people call ahead before booking to ask if the resort have any Team-building events on'.

A beautiful beach oasis”

Natural beautiful surroundings, lovely rooms, pretty beach and saltwater swimming pool

We came to Ho Tram resort as a special pre-Christmas treat with my parents and our 3 month old son. We were picked up by their private minibus from our apartment in Ho Chi Minh City. It was the perfect place to be with a baby, as we could potter around the lovely pathways pushing him in his stroller and there were loads of nice shady places to sit with him near the sea. The hotel provided a lovely cot for him to sleep in, complete with his own mosquito net which was extremely effective. We all loved the beautiful salt water swimming pool best, and the fresh water one was pretty too. The beach bar was really lovely with lots of comfy sofas and chairs on the beach and at the bar. We spent most of our time there! There was a lovely little river where you could kayak and a great place for afternoon tea overlooking it, again very comfy. The room service was amazingly good value, and with a small baby the perfect way to enjoy the food from the restaurant each night - we had two rooms and a little sitting room in the Pastel suite and were very happy with them. The open air bathrooms were amazing too. We tried out the neck and shoulder massage at the spa and liked them so much went back a second time. All in all a really relaxing and idyllic holiday. I expect we'll be back for another visit before long!

Literal paradise.”

Ho Tram Beach Boutique Resort & Spa is what you imagine in your head when you picture a beachside traditional style resort in South East Asia. I was absolutely blown away. The facilities were great, staff were lovely, and we had no problems with travel as they helped us organise transport to and from HCMC. Cannot recommend highly enough!

An experience we will never forget”

Friendly smiles,great service,beautiful beach,large bungalows.
English skills still need improving, but they are trying hard.

Right from check-in,you feel like you are in a different world here.Genuinely happy and sincere people are everywhere to attend to your needs, and the rooms are lovely.Very large bathrooms with open roofs, timber finishes, big verandahs overlooking the beach, fantastic. The GM,Mr Allan Philips says hello at lunch or when he sees you around the place, and makes sure your happy with everything, and is happy to make personal arrangements for you.The free tour to Bato markets was great,a true rural market for the locals. The Vietnamese cooking demo, and hands on lesson, was also a highlight. The 4 hectare property is hand manicured every day by a plethora of ground staff.Pools are great, restuarant has some tantalising dishes, try the steamed Red Snapper,it's from their own saltwater lake! You'll love it.Beds are great, the waves crashing on the beach lull you to sleep.SPA is also very good,my wife fell asleep in there.Thankyou very much Allan and all the fantastic staff at Ho Tram Beach resort.

Perfect”

Peace and quiet, great customer service, beautiful surroundings.

Spent 3 days midweek and it was as close to perfection as possible. If you are looking for a relaxing break away from the noise and pollution then this is the place for you. Without a doubt the most chilled out spot in Vietnam. The staff were all very friendly, food was great and the beach was clean and usually empty. The two swimming pools were really nice. The resort blends in well with the surrounding countryside. The architecture was inspired by old Vietnamese styles and the gardens are well maintained. For the price we paid I could not fault the Ho Tram Resort and Spa. To the staff and management i would say keep doing what you are doing because you are doing it right!

A piece of paradise ”

I absolutely loved the Ho Tram Beach Boutique and Spa. I felt like I was in the lap of luxury for a very reasonable price. It is a gorgeous property, the food was delicious, and I had a wonderful massage. My only complaints were that there were a lot of families with small children, and I got a lot of sand flea bites on the beach, which are very itchy. Otherwise, it was a perfect weekend getaway from Saigon.

Beautiful resort ”

The resort is very attractive with lots of flowers and trees, and architecture that respects the nature. The seawater pool was our favourite, and there's also another pool and of course the beach, which was really nice and probably as clean as you get in Vietnam. We stayed in the hotel building and our room was comfortable, spacious, clean, nicely decorated using mainly wood and white textiles, huge bathroom with good hot shower, etc. Maybe the best room we've stayed in anywhere. Breakfast was very nice. Beach bar and cocktails were also great. The biggest and maybe only minus is that the (expensive) restaurant is so mediocre, although service is good. We had some good dishes, but mostly food was nothing special or even bit tasteless. Buffet looked bulky, didn't try it. If we had stayed longer we would have taken a taxi to Ho Tram hamlet to eat some good local seafood. Water is ridiculously expensive, but there's a small kiosk just outside the gates. I'd go back anytime!

Beautiful beach getaway from HCMC”

I frequently visit Ho Tram Beach Boutique Resort and Spa with my friends. The resort is lovely and the accommodations are spacious and feel simple but luxurious at the same time. The breakfast buffet is extensive and the quality of food at the resort is quite good and reasonably priced. The spa is more expensive than what you would pay in HCMC but worth it. The hot stone massage I got on my last visit was absolutely divine. Highly recommended for a relaxing weekend away from the city.

this is my second visit to ho tram, and i've stayed in different rooms each time. both rooms were in excellent condition, with lovely big beds and giant baths - excellent for sharing. the resort grounds are gorgeous and very well-maintained. it's nice to go for a long walk around. bikes can be rented as well. there's a spa, but we didn't use that, spending most of our time in the saltwater pool which overlooks a river where you can fish. kayaks are also available. the beach is nice for walks at sunset, but the water seems a little unsafe for swimming. i recommend this resort for saigon residents wanting some peace and quiet at a beach for a short weekend.

Very pleasant stay (March 2017)”

The facilities are exceptionally well maintained. The breakfast is a buffet with western and Vietnamese cuisine. Each day, there are different activities you can sign up for; on Saturday it's an all you can eat buffet with BBQ seafood dinner. The beach is private and clean - mosquitoes are not a problem if it's windy. Insect repellent is available inside your room. The staff is very helpful and look happy. Cons: pillows are a little bit too high. The air conditioner was a little bit noisy but bearable. We stayed at Ladybird rooms (partial sea view). Stay at the very least 2 nights - best is 3+ nights. It costs 650k to come here from Vung Tau (bartered) and 800k from the resort to VungTau.

Great hotel”

calm, quiet, perfect for relaxation

Ho Tram Beach Resort & Spa has 2 pools, one salted water, and one normal. Restaurant serves good food, and not really expensive. We spent only a night there, but slept as baby as it was so quiet. Really nice and perfect location for people who wants to get away from Saigon a bit.

Awesome trip with friends”

Nice nature surrounding, great staffs, good spa

This is my second stay at Ho Tram. After my first great experience with my boyfriend, i came back this time with a big group of friends. We enjoyed great view of the beach, 2 nice swimming pools and garden. Staffs here are extremely polite and thoughtful. Ho Tram also has great chefs that serve authentic vietnamese cuisines. I will comeback here again soon. Highly recomend this resort to everyone.

Exquisite location”

Huge bath, lovely staff, excellent breakfast

We couldn't fault this lovely oasis, especially after a hard days travel by motorbike. We were greeted a lovely lady who took great care to ensure we were shown around, and had everything we needed. The rooms themselves are perfect down to the last detail, and importantly include a mosquito net for the bed at night. Every detail has been considered. The complex is large and has various forms of entertainment, including fishing on their 2 lakes, pool table, 2 swimming pools, one with sea water and a variety of spa and massage options. The beach is glorious and very untouched. This place is not surrounded by the commercialness one expects from a beach resort, so far it has been left alone.... lets hope that lasts! Food is excellent, our only slight con, and this is the only one, was that the beach bar (Nautical Bar) despite being advertised as open till 10pm, wouldn't serve us at 6pm, as language was a barrier we were unable to establish why... I suspect if we had bothered reception, this could have been explained/rectified.In short we wouldn't hesitate to stay again, and highly recommend this hotel & resort to others. A little bit of paradise!!!!

Overlooked Beach Area”

Proximity to Hochiminh City, Fine Sand, Cleanliness, Low Tourists, Good Service

this area is an overlooked stretch of beaches worth staying for a few days. low number of domestic and foreign tourists mean the rooms are still new and in good shape. ho tram resort itself has excellent stretch of beach for swimmers with high powerful waves. it also has two pools, one freshwater and the other is saltwater to lounge around. good place for families with small children as it has a large sandy playground and waterslide. the staff was attentive and accomodating to our needs. there is a small seafood market about 10 minutes drive away if you want to buy fresh seafood.

Beautiful and charming hotel”

Charming architecture, the saled pool and the quiet beach front

Everything was nice at this hoetl It is secluded. Perfect if you want peace and quiete. Staff are helpful. The Wifi suck but other than that, it is a beautiful place to stay if you like a rustic charm of Baltic decorations. Ho Tram is a secluded beach area and there is not much going on in this town. So don't expect too much. It's not the hotel. It's the area! I would defintaly come back.

Large resort on a beautiful stretch of coastline.”

Peaceful, good staff and fabulous landscaping.

We were pleased to be upgraded on arrival, although we don't know why. The new room was similar to our pre-booked room but was in an even quieter location, over-looking a lake with a partial view to the sea. The rooms are well-appointed (we've stayed here before) and have LAN internet, indoor/outdoor bathrooms and 4-poster beds. The only quibbles about our room were a broken shower head attachment and silly chairs on the balcony which force you to lie down even if you don't want to. We got over this by moving the inside chairs to the outside. The resort itself is beautiful and is wonderfully landscaped. The staff outnumber the guests by about 3 to 1, or so it seemed during our stay, and clearly a good number are employed in maintaining the grounds. All staff were very friendly. There's a choice of pools to use as well as pretty ponds and moats. There are a variety of places where you can sit and relax all over the grounds but best of all is on the beach where there are an abundance of shaded sun loungers amongst the fir trees. And the beach itself is very good indeed going on as far as you can see in both directions, wide and empty. With no other places to eat, the restaurant food needs to be good and by and large it was with the surprising exception of the Vietnamese food where the quality of meat used in our dishes was poor. Bar prices were surprisingly reasonable for a resort such as this and the beach bar is very nice - and has a happy 'hour' from 3 to 5pm.
