Lovely hotel between the beach and the river”
we were very pleased with our recent stay at the lovely hoi an beach resort. after an initial mix-up about an airport transfer (the car i arranged with the hotel didn’t show up so i had to take a taxi), i was happy when we arrived at the resort and were handed cool, minty towels and welcome drinks. we were even upgraded to rooms in the river view villa, which were very nice. the rooms were huge, as was the bathroom (with a separate bath and shower), and complimentary toiletries and bottles of water were provided. our room opened out onto the river, and had two lounge chairs right outside to relax in. the breakfast buffet was plentiful, with both western and asian options, although the quality of the food was so-so for vietnam. the omelette and pho stations were a nice touch, and it was really lovely to have breakfast overlooking the river. the resort is right across the road from cua dai beach, and they have a private stretch of beach just for guests, which is fabulous for avoiding the crowds (it’s still somewhat). you can order food from the hotel’s restaurant straight from your lounge chair, which is ideal when one is on vacation. the resort has two swimming pools, which were fun to dive into after coming back from the beach, as well as a small but adequate fitness center. the hotel staff were generally adequate. i want to commend the reservations manager, ms. chau, was exceedingly helpful and responsive, particularly when my family decided they wanted to stay another night at the beach resort. amending a non-refundable hotel reservation through agoda is a real pain, but ms. chau was really helpful with this. the hotel can also help you book tours, including a trip to my son, which is what we did. if you take the bus, the cost is only $10/pp, which does not include the dong entrance fee. overall, the hoi an resort is a lovely place to relax for a few days, and hopping between the beach and hoi an town is very convenient with the free shuttle servi

Hoi An Beach resort”
I read previous reviews concerning the Hoi An Beach resort, particularly that the rooms were old and in much need of painting. Also I read criticism about the staff, particularly the reception staff not being friendly. My experience from my recent visit (March 2010) was that all staff, including the reception staff were extremely helpful and very friendly. The resort was absolutely beautiful and peaceful. My only regret was that after staying here for two nights, I wished that I could've stayed longer. There is a nice pool and internet facilities. The room was very clean and fresh.I had requested a river view. This was not provided as I received an end room. Technically next to the river, but not overlooking the river as I had expected. I didn't complain as I stayed only for two nights. Had I planned to stay longer I wouldv'e requested a room with a better view. The resort is some way from Hoi An (4 km), however that wasn't too much on an inconvenience as there was a free shuttle bus to Hoi An. The only problem I encountered one evening ( 9.30 pm), was a large group waiting to return to the hotel so I opted to take a taxi. There is a gorgeous, quiet beach across the road from the resort. I was very impressed with this resort, having stayed in several places in Vietnam. I would love to stay here again, and would definitely stay longer.

Great hotel on the beach”
I spent 3 nights in this hotel on holiday with my parents who are both in their 70's. It was important to me that they had some place away from the hustle and bustle to rest during the day. Hoi An Beach Resort is on the beach away from the main town- (you have to cross the road to get to the beach, but there is a dedicated private beach area for hotel guests with a bar and changing rooms and canopies). Getting a place a little out of town was a good idea as we had access to both the beach and the town, though we spent hardly any time on the beach as there was a gale while we were there, but the windsurfers who braved the storm were super impressive to watch from the private breach area. The staff at the hotel were excellent, they helped us book our train tickets to Hue from Danang, and charged less than the travel agents in town. The hotel has a free shuttle to town several times a day, so it was no problem to jump on. Getting back was not a problem as there are many metered taxis which make it easy to get back. Breakfast was served by the river side, which was very picturesque, sipping coffee while watching the fishermen in their bright plastic rain ponchos made for some great photos. All in all this is a lovely hotel away from the town, and i recommend it highly to anyone who wants to combine the quaintness of Hoi An with a beach holiday.

Solid option for Cua Dai area”
I visit Hoi An 3 times per year on average and Hoi An Beach Resort sticks out as one of the best options on Cua Dai beach by far. Simply put, the staff are friendly, well trained, and attentive. Moreover, it is their professionalism and enthusiasm that really makes this place stand out against some of its competitors. On the down side, the ocean front rooms suffer from being too close to the street, which makes for some horn filled mornings, and do not have very nice views all around to be honest, but the River Villas are pure relaxation and well worth the slightly higher price. Otherwise, the breakfast is simple but good, while the coffee is excellent, the pool is lovely, and almost no one ever uses the billiards room which is simple but nice. Moreover, its a great option on Cua Dai and one of the few places in the area where you can enjoy the views of the sun going down over the river

Nice beach hotel!”
We had a great stay at Hoi An Beach Resortt. We were there for Chinese New Year so Hoi An as well as the public beach was packed!! So we really enjoyed the more empty beach at the resort. Do not book the Seaside rooms thinking that you will be at the beach! You will have a fens, a road with a lot if noisy scooters and all the palmetrees between you and the water. The villa is however really nice, with a nice big room. If I should stay there again I would however prefer a view of the river. We rented kayaks at the hotel and went up the river one day, very nice. We had one bad experience at the resort. The first night we ate at the resort restaurant. My husband had a big steak, and unfortunately he got sick to his stomach that night and it took him a few days to get over it. When he told the chef about it he did not seem to mind to much. We did however have breakfast there everyday and also lunch most days without having problems. And the food is very nice. So I am thinking the steak was a one time problem...

Beach and Riverfront Location”
Stay 2012.11.25 - 2012.11.29; river view deluxe. Check-in was irregular. I was taken to a ocean view building so I asked the porter to reconfirm my request for a river view deluxe. Reception explained I was upgraded to the ocean view villa so I asked if I could see both. Indeed, the river view deluxe was on the ground floor (I had requested second floor) and because it was an end unit, the adjacent property fence blocked half the view and made the room darker. The ocean view villa was a larger room on the second floor, brighter and the bathroom was much nicer. I accepted the upgrade and found the ocean view actually not that bad considering the road between the property and the beach. I thought the front receptionist could have explained the situation upfront to save time and hassle. Other than that little glitch, the staff was professional and courteous. I had one dinner at the hotel restaurant. I ordered Vietnamese fare; the dishes were fresh, delicious, understated and reasonably priced. The waiter, Mr. Huong, was very helpful with suggestions. I eat only fruit in the mornings but the breakfast spread looked fabulous including an omelet station. Service, again, was prompt and professional. The restaurant is a large balcony area overlooking the river. It's a pleasant place to enjoy a meal or drinks anytime. The ocean view villa had high ceilings and the air conditioning unit worked well (cooled quickly and quietly). The bathroom had a separate shower stall and bath tub. The white noise of crashing ocean waves gave it a nice touch while the balcony was roomy enough to relax with a cup of coffee. The resort location is unique with a river view and convenient access to a private beach, a nice place for those with moderate interest in Hoi An town itself but are more focused on the facilities at the resort (pool/spa) and beach access. If you're more interested in exploring the town, then the location might be slightly inconvenient even though there's a shuttl

Hoi An Beach Resort - excellent”
The Hoi An Beach resort is my favorite of all beach resort like hotels I've been to in Vietnam after having lived here for a year. For one it's on a clean section of beach, there are many nice resorts in Vietnam but the beaches are frequently trash filled, not here. And the water is actually clean too, not crystal clear but as good as anything in Southern California. The included breakfast buffet is above and beyond any hotel I've ever been to. Delicious, healthy, and well-stocked. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The staff is super friendly. There is a free shuttle into town. The location is great, not far from the town. I hate to encourage you to stay there because I want to make sure that there is room for me next time I go back to Hoi An.

Heavenly Hoi An”
Our stay at the Hoi An Beach Resort Hoi An was just what we were looking for to escape the hustle and bustle of Hanoi. We spent a very relaxing few days either basking on the private beach area, lazing by the pool or having a trip into the picturesque town to potter about the ancient streets. The hotel was perfectly situated with the beach on one side and the river on the other and a regular free shuttle service to and from the town. Staff were helpful, efficient and smiling. The gardens are beautifully tended and the main restaurant area overlooks the slow, winding river with plenty of typical, rural Vietnam to look at. A pleasure on the eyes. Our room was tastefully furnished, clean with comfortable beds. All in all, you couldn't really ask for more. Definitely a place to return to when next needing peace and tranquility.

good option for Cua Dai with attentive staff”
Usually I will come to Hoi An about 3 times per year and have stayed at the Hoi An Beach Resort multiple times. The staff are always lovely, well trained, and extremely courteous. Half of the resort is currently being renovated, but they are managing well and the new infinity pool looks stunning. Some of the rooms could use a bit of an overhaul, but are still quite nice. All around, a very solid option on Cua Dai beach as the staff always have a keen eye for details and ensuring guests are comfortable.

Relaxing and peaceful”
Spent a week at Hoi An Beach Resort and loved it. The hotel has a private beach area, although we only visited it briefly. The hotel is located on a quiet street that has several nice restaurants. Hubby is a fussy eater and he found enough of a selection to keep him happy. We also ate at the hotel’s restaurant- the food was lovely. The buffet breakfast offered the usual selection of pastries, cereals, fruit, yoghurt, eggs, bacon and rice/noodle dishes. The hotel has a shuttle bus into the Old Town that we used a few times and hubby used the gym almost daily. We were looking for some time to unwind from work and spend time by the pool reading with the chance to do some short excursions or walks if we wanted to, and for that, Hoi An Beach Resort was perfect.

Beautiful Resort”
Hoi An Beach Resort is a very beautiful resort, I booked the Grand Deluxe Villa, we were spoilt by their free supplies of fresh fruits and water, I love the evening bed stories, bed, pillows and sheets are always fresh and clean, excellent room amenities. Breakfast buffet set up with a river view is amazing. Staff are very friendly from the reception, restaurant crews and the room service staff, all very helpful. They have a live band playing in the restaurant, we enjoyed listening to them, my husband even sang with them, excellent singers/musicians. Only comment from my husband is the very slow service from the bar staff, he has to wait 5 to 10 mins before his order arrives. Other than that, we did not encountered any problem or hassle in this resort, we are definitely going to stay the next time we visit Hoi An, would even recommend it to our friends.

Hoi An Beach Resort, a perfect place at the beach”
We arrived very early to Hoi an and went straight to Hoi an Beach Resort. The staff were very helpful and allowed us to check in early and upgraded us to a Villa. Everything was flawless. There is a road between the hotel and the beach, but that wasn't something that annoyed anyone of us. We took the free shuttle bus to the city and when it didn't operate we took a cab, which cost around 55 000 dong one way.The people staying at this hotel are all either retired or families with young children, so for the three of us in our late twenties it wasn't the most exciting and fun place we've been at, but we went to Hoi an to relax and that's exactly what you can to at Hoi An Beach resort!

Amazing stay!! ”
We stayed at Hoi An Beach Resort for 7 nights with a family group of 7. We absolutely loved the staff who went above and beyond to help and create an amazing week for us all. The massive king bed and pillows were so incredibly comfortable. The food from the resort restaurant was fantastic but obviously costs more than what you would get if you took a little wander around the streets. I did the cooking class offered by the resort and it was fantastic, Lee our chef host took us into the market to buy ingredients and then we got a boat back to the resort and did the big cook up. Loved every minute of it!! We will definitely be returning to Hoi An and will definitely stay again at the Hoi An Beach Resort!

Ideal location”
On arrival at our room he bedding was not as requested, a call to the front office had us moved to a deluxe River facing room, which was very peaceful and a lovely outlook. The staff went out of there way to look after us after a few initial hiccups in the room and could not have been more friendly and efficient. The location of this hotel with the Ocean at the front and the River behind made for pleasurable dining experiences at the River Terrace Reataurant and both swimming pools looked out onto this scenery also. The private beach just across the road catered to the hotel guests with beach towels and shower and toilet facilities. We had heard that some reclamation of sand work will be happening in August! Eating outside the hotel was a fun experience with a number of restaurants located just outside the gates. Although we have stayed at several major resorts at Cua Dai beach, we will definitely be returning to this resort. The Waterlilly Spa is very good with the services they provide and the girls are excellent.

Great trip ti Hoi An”
Booked for 3 nights extended for a further 3 and then stayed for 13 nights. Hotel gave us a great holiday in Hoi An A great base to explore the area and to enjoy the varied and fabulous food. Despite the damage to beach , this is still a great holiday location. Ignore all the grumbling re "extra" charges for foreigners, just smile and negotiate. Ignore the blogs and take the local bus to Da Nang, great fun. Hire a bike and cycle through the paddy fields , take an expensive tour if you must but doing it yourself brings additional and personal experiences. Do take a cooking course. Enjoy Hoi An, a great experience and thanks to the friendly and helpful staff of Hoi An Beach Resort.

Accommodating staff and close to Cua Dai beach”
we came to this resort in a big group to celebrate a friend's 30th birthday. we'd been to hoi an before and stayed in the old town, which was why we opted for staying at this resort instead so we could be closer to the beach. the weather however was not good the weekend of our stay and was quite cool/rainy. the room i stayed in with my boyfriend was on the second floor on the river view side. it had a large balcony which we could relax on and watch the daily happenings on the river and the lit lanterns at night. the room itself was very large with a fully stocked mini fridge, an extremely huge (bigger than queen-sized) comfortable bed and an excellent bathroom. the bathroom had a bath tub as well as a separate shower. rates included a buffet breakfast with lots of variety, including vietnamese and european dishes. there was a decent sized pool that we only used once due to the weather and the resort's grounds were well-kept. staff were very attentive and assisted with organising our friend's birthday cake. we were shocked to later find out that they happily paid for the cake as a complimentary service and to thank us for booking such a big group into their resort. it was such a nice gesture. i would definitely stay again during warmer months.

Zen”
My stay at Hoi An Beach Resort was nice but there are a few things i must say to alert future clients. There is no beach in the hotel, there is a beach just for sightseeing, not to swim, although for us it was the same because we prefer to explore, like we did in the bicycles we rented at the resort. There is an amazing and peaceful beach just 3 km distance and by bicycle its a wonderful way to inhale Hoi An in the morning. Here you`ll find plenty of places to eat. The staff in the hotel are very dedicated and helpful. The rooms are very good and the resort itself has very good conditions. It has two pools, a spa, a kids center, kayaks to rent. Nice breakfast by the river with a beautiful view. I will probably go back to this hotel.

Truly amazing”
We had a wonderful time, there were 5 friends/couples in 3 rooms which had a Beach and Garden view out front and a River/Pool view out the back. The rooms were unbelievably large, the bathrooms were the biggest I have ever seen and all very very clean. The staff were extremely courteous and friendly especially Crew at the pool bar. We cannot wait to go and stay there again, that was our only complaint we did not have a lot of time there. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a pleasant, relaxing beach holiday. Convenient free shuttle bus service to town/markets etc every hour..and return. CANNOT recommend this hotel highly enough! THANK YOU HOI AN BEACH RESORT for a FANTASTIC stay. :)

Quiet and Realxing holiday”
We stayed 2 nights at the Hoi An beach Resort with 2 elderly parents and a young child. It was a very quiet and relaxing stay, with good view of the beach and river. Do try to get the sea view or river view room. The downside was most of the private hotel beach and nearby beaches have been eroded. and we could not swim there. However, just playing with sands and lying there to relax is not a problem. The location is very good with nearby shops and many seafood restaurants within walking distance. Free shuttle bus to Hoi An town. Breakfast spread and quality of food is average. Staff friendliness and helpfulness is superb.

Peaceful, tranquile Hotel-”
This is the second time I have stayed at the Hoi An Beach resort, and I have to say once again I was very impressed. The location by the river is just superb coupled with a beautiful beach across the road. The rooms are first class, clean and airy. However, for me the best bit are the staff of the resport, typically friendly, very helpful and will do anything to make your stay enjoyable. I love this resort, unfortunately I could only stay 2 nights, I would love to stay longer. They provide a shuttle bus to and from Hoi An. An evening BBQ by the river was fantastic. I can't praise this resport enough. I will certainly stay here again.
