Worthy of Consideration
Upon our arrival ( we booked the lowest special rate room ) we were chaperoned to our room, which was in a wing at rear. The room was tired with the bedside lampshade falling apart. We protested at the state of the room and went back towards the lobby to visit the manager and arrange another room. To our delight and a very apologetic manager Luong Quoc Minh was only too helpful to allocate another room - superior room that was fantastic. The manager understood the situation and was professional in each and every way ... So our start at the Historic whilst rocky was turning into a delight. Our stay for 4 nights was well above average and great value for money - and I would seriously recommend this Hotel. Location is excellent to old town with accommodation & breakfast brilliant ... The swimming pool is well maintained and in excellent order deserving of ones swim at days end of touring .. We are considering bringing the family over to this resort next year ..

Awesome, Awesome & Awesome again.
2nd time I've stayed at the Historic Hoi An & again this hotel delivered the services & quality I'd come to expect. Rooms are super clean, comfortable & spacious. The staff, although were very busy during our check-in, are super friendly, kind & simply put awesome. *(don't mistake their busy for in-courtesy ) The hotel pool is definitely the deal breaker. With out the pool, it'd be a great hotel, but the pool alone makes it an Awesome hotel. Location is a key factor also in making this hotel as awesome as it is. Short stroll to the ancient city & a short moped ride to the beach. Having said all that, I must add. *Good luck to getting a game of tennis in, during the cooler evening hours. Overall an Awesome hotel I look forward to staying in again on my next return to Amazing Hoi An. *****

Very nice grounds. Good restaurant. Excellent swimming pool.
Many problems with rooms. Terrible plumbing and bad air conditioning. Returned to the hotel one night at 9:30 pm and asked for.a bucket of ice. Was first told that they didn't have any however when I insisted, they eventually found it somewhere. Not good enough for a hotel that rates itself 5 star. Changed rooms only to encounter the same problems with plumbing and air conditioning. Was supposed to stay with them for 7 nights however 3 was all I could stand. Checked out and moved to the Anantara. A little more money but worth it. Can not recommend Hoi An Historic

Very nice hotel
If I visit HoiAn again, I will definately stay this hotel again. Good; - Perfect location. 5 to 10 min walk to ancient town. - Nice outdoor pool. - Cosy room. - Perfect service! My flight was very early but they served break fast for us at 5:30am! Amazing! Bad; - No tooth brush. - No couch in the room I stayed. - Very noisy asian family group in outdoor pool everyday. Don't know where they come from but they are definately not Japanese, Korean nor Chinese.

A lovely stay
This is a lovely historic hotel close to the ancient town. Great pool. Some staff a bit ordinary but some were lovely. Reception staff were very helpful. Cooking lesson was great. I would definitely stay here again.

Great location, friendly staff
This was the fourth time we have stayed at this hotel, after discovering it on our 3rd visit to Hoi An. After mistakenly being given a double room on our first night we were upgraded to a beautiful suite for the remaining 5 nights of our stay. Staff are fantastic, nothing is a problem for them, huge variety of quality food for breakfast, location is perfect, strong wifi throughout the grounds, just a short walk to the old town and pool area is great for relaxing. My only suggestion would be for them to throw some ice in the pool to cool it down as it is like a warm bath given the extreme summer temperatures! Would never want to stay anywhere else in Hoi An.

Perfect Location to see Historic Town
The location, the staff, the cleanliness of the rooms outstanding. The pool OK is staying a few days, and if not too many children. Door and window seals good to keep out much of the noise of schools, children, traffic and noisy guests. Lots of greenery gardens which keep the area cool in hot days. Free shuttle to beach a bonus to relax and swim

Beautiful spot, great price
If you're not dead set on staying either at the beach or on the Riverside, this is a beautiful property in a great location. You're just a block away from the heart of the action, but that block away buys you a lot of extra quiet in this hotel. It helps that the hotel is set back a good distance from the main street and has a large garden area that makes you feel like you're really secluded. If available, it's worth it to ask upfront for room that faces the pool, because there are certain rooms that face the street and to be noisier because of street traffic (I'm a sensitive sleeper, but my wife doesn't care because she can sleep through anything). There are also a couple of "suite" rooms that have windows facing the main parking lot of the hotel… I would not advise staying in these rooms because they're definitely noisy with cars pulling up to the front door constantly throughout the night, and lights shining on to your window. Breakfast at the hotel is good, but not terribly exciting after the first day. But the setting is beautiful. The pool is cozy and gets good sunlight most of the day.

Hoi An Historic Hotel
We had a lovely stay at this hotel again. We were last here five years ago, and on the whole we enjoyed it as much as then. The breakfast has loads of variety, and the location is brilliant. The pool was very popular and it was often difficult to find a lounge chair, so it would be helpful to have more chairs available. A few more umbrellas would not go astray either! We felt nicely in the lap of luxury and would stay again.
