Good Breakfast Buffet”
We picked the Lantern Hotel last minute - we had planned to stay at the backpacker hostel (DKs House) next door, but they were fully booked. We turned to the Lantern and found it to be a nice change to our usual, less luxurious accomodations. The lobby looks very impressive, the rooms don't quite hold up to that standard but are still very clean, comfortable and well equipped. The breakfast buffet is served on the rooftop restaurant, it's plentiful with delicious omlets, pancakes, bacon, fruit, cheese, etc. (although there's room to improve the coffee). Wifi signal was excellent in the room. Liked it!

Cultural paradise”
We truly enjoyed our stay in Hoi An largely due to the helpful staff who always were so upbeat and gave us great suggestions. The lantern making course and the cooking class were fantastic.

A Wee Gem ”
We stayed here with our teenage sons. The hotel was clean, had wonderful staff and was in a great location. The rooms were spacious with good air con. The only small issue were the showers. The shower heads over the bath were poorly placed but were functional. The buffet breakfast was amazing. As a family we hired the hotels bikes most days which was fantastic. We were able to explore the countryside, beaches as well as the old town. We found this was better than a bike tour for us. There are plentiful restaurants in the old city area that were very cheap. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in both this hotel and Hoi An in general

Well located ”
A very stately hotel at one time now showing its age. The hotel is geared toward tour bus clientele. We traveled without a tour Pool was excellent. Very short walk to the old town and restaurants. Most staff except customer relations rep spoke little English. The customer relations person was excellent. She handled every issue when she was working. Hard to communicate with others when she was off. Wi-fi very spotty. We stayed 5 nights. Some days good other days not good. Breakfast pretty much the same but often when the tour busses left it took awhile to replenish popular items. Very safe area. Actually all of Hoi An is very safe no matter the time of day.

Centrally located hotel to explore Hoi An.”
The Hoi An Lantern Hotel is fairly well located near to the town centre and attractions. Staff were attentive giving good tips on the local area and breakfast was plentiful and varied. The service was let down by housekeeping who did not clean the room properly. This was not a major issue and when it was brought to the attention of staff they sought to rectify this immediately. There was heavy rain during one of the evenings of the stay which meant that we had dinner in the hotel. Not untypical of hotels the meal was poor, took a long time to be served and was over priced especially when compared with some great places to eat in the town centre. Overall the hotel was reasonably priced and for a short stay represented value for money.

We only stayed 1 night at the hotel. It was a comfortable stay, nothing too bad or good. Definitely value for money. 7 minutes walk from the Hoi An old city.

AN EXCELLENT VALUE HOTEL”
This is a very comfortable hotel within easy walking distance to all the main attractions. My room was clean, spacious with lots of hot water in the bathroom. Everything in my room worked. The roof-top breakfast was more than adequate and this restaurant also opened for lunch and dinner. The environment and the pool were more than adequate. The tour desk competently organised the tours I wished to do. I love this hotel, great value and I liked the staff, beautiful gentle Vietnamese.

An oasis of calm”
The hotel was a little walk away from the old town which was quite good as you could take alternative routes on your walk to avoid the hawkers. The staff were very friendly and remembered our names which was no mean feat as they must see lots of different people all the time. Dinner at the hotel wasn't very good but the breakfasts were great with a lot of selection available. Happy hour drinks out the front in the foyer was delightful to watch the world go by and have a cocktail. We stayed for 5 nights and would definitely go back to this hotel.

Perfect Hotel”
My whole family loved everything about this hotel. We have travelled quite extensively on this trip and have stayed in a number of hotels everywhere but this one stands out quite easily. The location is great, not in the centre of the Old Town but no problem because they provide a shuttle service to town. Staff were extremely helpful and accommodating especially, Katie, Jessie, Kevin and Peter. If the swimming pool was a bit bigger, I would've given this 5-stars for all criteria. Would definitely stay here again if given the chance. Highly recommended!

I stayed in the Grand Suite for 1 night and a superior room for the 2nd. The suite was huge, and the later was large. Both nicely furnished. Breakfast buffet was also good. The location is a 10-15min walk to the main tourist drag. I also did the hotels cooking class. I can't recommend this as the chef only had limited English. Service desk staff had excellent English. Will stay again.

Perfect stay”
Very nice hotel with a huge terrace where they serve buffet breakfast and a nice size swimming pool. The decor is a bit aged but it gives the hotel a lot of personality. The staff is friendly and you can hire bicycle directly at the hotel. The main touristy area is five minutes walking. Highly recommended.

Relatively large hotel close to the old town with realy friendly staff. An absolute high light is the breakfast terrasse on the 4th floor.

Could have been better”
Upon arrival at the hotel we were advised they did not have a booking for us, despite our receiving a confirmation email after payment was taken from our account. I had to show the staff an email before I was satisfied they believed I had a booking (they seemed to relax after this, so I'm not sure it was the fault of the hotel). We were asked to wait whilst they confirmed, so came back an hour later and still had to wait. They eventually found us a room.. The staff also seemed not to believe We had paid for the gala dinner on NYE (the website advised I would be charged for this, no choice in the matter) so we attended anyway, until we could stand no more dragon dancing and kids party games...our room was large but not comfortable and had no heating (it was quite cool at night). The bed had a sheet only, and we used some undersized, very thin comforters we found in the wardrobe. The floor was dirty, so we asked for it to be washed. Upon our return we discovered the floor still dirty, so asked again...when we saw the equipment they were using for cleaning we just gave up... Also, wifi was next to useless; so slow we gave up on that too. Not impressed with this hotel, although the staff did try hard.

Relaxing place”
The place is good for chilling and spending your time away from busy cities. Socket adapters are provided without any charges unlike some hotels. It is just around 15 mins walk to the markets and rivers. The only problems are the slippers they provided is sandy and proved that it has been used before and not clean before they provide us with it. Also the design of the shower will wet the floor so be careful as it is slippery.

Great location to the old city and great food. So nice to have a pool and the staff are lovely. The breakfast didn't look that great but delicious banh mi was just down the road. Good price for what you get and the location.

Excellent Value, Great Staff”
The staff are what makes this hotel. The facilities are fine; functional and clean. The design is a little quirky and some of the design elements were chosen by committee but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone. The staff are genuinely interested in making you, their treasure guest, happy! The nicest bunch of people you could hope to find. Highly recommended.
