The BEST place to stay in Hoi An!”
This was by far the best place we stayed in Vietnam. Amazing location set in the lemongrass fields, only 10 mins bike to both the ancient town and the beach meaning you get the best of both worlds!! Rooms were immaculate with 5 star bathrooms. The food we had here was the best we ate in he whole of Hoi An. Maybe the best thing about the hotel however were the staff, so kind and helpful!! Truly cannot recommend this villa enough. P.S the roosters are no big deal at all :)

Fabulous stay at this lovely little homestay amongst the rice fields”
We fell in love with this place as soon as we arrived. The building is delightful, the rooms are fabulously decorated and attention to detail is second to none for places we have stayed in in Vietnam. The staff were welcoming and friendly and went out of their way to help us out. There were bicycles you could borrow to get to town and the beach although we found it easier to hire a scooter to get around which was cheap and fun. The breakfast was also lovely and on one morning included a cooking demonstration. You can use the pool over at Hoi An Chic which is great, you also have access to a nice little private patch of beach. We booked two nights but ended up staying five, because we extended our stay the staff cooked us a lovely big traditional lunch which was excellent and free. Can't recommend this highly enough as a place to relax and enjoy in between exploring beautiful Hoi An. A real home away from home. We can't wait to come back.

Nice and quiet homestay”
We enjoyed our stay very much. Even though we arrived very late at night, the staff greeted us with a warm welcome. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The homestay is located a little between the city and the beach, in the middle of rice an lemon grass fields. Within 10 minutes you can go by bike to the wonderful city of Hoi An. And still enjoy the quietness when you come "home". The bike rental is for free and we used it nearly every day. The city traffic is very very moderated compared to HCMC and the scooters and cars pay a lot of attention to bicycle drivers. The rooms are nicely decorated and have a luxurious bathroom. On the other side of the street, you will find the sister hotel where you can use the small, but nice rooftop pool for free with free towels included. The sister hotel also has a restaurant/bar. Since we stayed 5 nights at the homestay, we received a free lunch, which was simply amazing! We would definitely recommend the lemongrass homestay and would love to come back!

Nice homestay and friendly staffs”
We visited Hoi An in a low season so everything was perfect: Nice hotel, friendly and helpful staffs, beautiful weather. This homestay is located 3km far from Hoi An ancient town but you can get there by taxi. It costs about 40-50,000 VND. In front of this homestay is a rice field so you can totally enjoy the natural wind. Lemongrass doesn't have a swimming pool but its sister - Hoi An Chic has so you can use this pool freely. Because we went there in a low season so in the last day, they decided to move me and my friend to Hoi An Chic :D It was really a great offer for us.

A truly peaceful place away from busy touristy Hoi An town”
Pros: Very nice designed rooms in details with rustic wood and natural eco-friendly materials - clean, airy and functional. Amazing rice field view. Great location. Well-trained staff. Good decent breakfast. Small but awesome infinity swimming pool. Cons: Unknown upfront that the accommodation and the swimming pool are not on the same site/place. Pictures here might give you the idea that they are while they are not. Lemongrass Homestay and Hoi An Chic which are a few steps away, both belong to or are run by one host. The swimming pool locates in Hoi An Chic where Lemongrass' residents can freely access to use - a bit inconvenient though. And it's closed by 8pm - another bugging thing.

It was FABULOUS! We requested an airport transfer and unlike other hotels/homestays, Lemongrass DID response and confirm everything by mail. No dilly dally. Very responsible staff. A very pleasant welcome to Hoi An by them. Fabulous Vietnamnese and international breakfast, free bikes, free cooking class and staff are always there for you. We love our room with authentic Vietnamese decoration and two windows into the paddy fields. It is just 15 minutes bike ride to the city centre (ancient town) and 10 minutes to the closest beach. Highly recommended! Thumbs up for Lemongrass!!

Excellent Homestay - Highly recommended”
Stayed 3 nights at Hoi An Lemongrass Homestay. Great place surrounded by rice fields, nicely decorated, clean and spatious room with modern bathroom, tasty breakfast with freshly brewed Vietnamese coffee, crispy fresh baguette and a la carte Western or Vietnamese specialities.Free bike rental, which is convenient to get to the old town or the beach (both a short 10min ride). English is well spoken and the staff is extremely nice, helpful and smily. A great value in Hoi An. Would stay there again for sure.

A delightful experience”
We really enjoyed our stay. It is more of an escape to the village rather than a normal trip. We can ride the bicycle to Hoi An city center. The swimming pool used at the sister hotel (Hoi An Chic) has a very nice view. Staff are so friendly. The hotel design brings a cozy and "at home" atmosphere. We will surely come back and refer to our friends.

Great place to stay ”
I love this place, its concept, design and atmosphere it contains will make you feel more than great. The garden is beautiful, breakfast is nice and enough, they offer free traditional food if their kitchen spontaneously make it in the day. We were 2 ppl, stayed for 1 night and we had to leave early in the morning for early flight. The staff was very thoughtful and prep us breakfast-to-go. Definitely coming back to Hoi An for longer stay in this hostel.

Wonderful guesthouse ”
We had an amazing experience at Lemongrass! It's a lovely, peaceful place and everyone is very helpful and friendly. It has a cozy relaxed vibe and we really enjoyed using the free bikes to get to and from the old city. If we ever come back to Hoi An, we'll definitely stay at lemongrass again!

Lemongrass is great. The setting is lovely and staff is fantastic. It is situated a bit outside the main area in Hoi An which is quieter but you can still find a few shops and places to eat nearby. Halfway between town and the beach.

Beautiful place, definitely recomended.”
We spend 3 days here and we were so happy. Room: spacious (for the standard), really comfy bed, really good sheets. They clean it every day. Aircon worked perfectly, safe included. Bathroom: perfect. Breakfast: delicius. As we were here in low season, we had really nice breakfast in the garden only for us (fruit, bread, coffe, and selection for meal). Location: for us, really good. It's in the middle between the beach and the old town. We rented a motobike and moved around a lot. Staff: really nice, smiling and kind. They always try to sell their services (as all hotels and homestays did), but you can always compare and decide by yourself. We defenetly recomend this place, although if you want to stay close to the old town it's a bit far if you go by bike (free available). The best place we stay in our entire trip (around this price).

Great value, free bikes!”
Very friendly staff, free bikes (15 minutes to old town), great rooms and good shower! Breakfast is very good for this price range. We were very surprised by the quality of this hotel. Absolutely a good choice if you don't mind the trip to the old town. Good side of its location is the quietness and local life. Mind that the swimmingpool is located at another hotel across the street.

Peace next to the paddy fields”
This was an absolutley charming, beautiful place away from the hustle and bustle of town just 3km away (50,000VND in taxi). Surrounded by paddy fields it's so peaceful and relaxing. You can even use the swimming pool of their sister hotel over the road which was a bonus. It's a beautifully designed modern yet traditional place, small enough to feel like a homestay. Farm animals wake you up in the morning and you get the sounds of frogs and cicadas at night which is very atmospeheric. i would happily go back and definitely recommend it. Hiep the reception lady is just a sweetie, she's so smiley, helpful and lovely with lots of useful info. All the staff were friendly, welcoming and couldn't do enough to help you (even if you have green hair, Hi Hiep!). It's a very special place, go there!

Great hotel would recommend! But not a homestay ”
Really lovely hotel in a lovely setting about 4km out of town a good walk but easy on a bicycle, which are provided free. Excellent rooms and very helpful friendly staff, great breakfasts. Free use of infinity pool In sister hotel (30 second walk). We consider lemongrass a good hotel but it certainly doesn't feel like a homestay. Saying that expect plenty of rural noise from animals if you're a light sleeper, walls are quite thin but my partner slept just fine. Communication can definitely be improved, before arriving we asked for directions only to be told to phone for directions or take a taxi. Not helpful but fair point as it is a trek with a backpack. Why not scan the map provided and email it upon request or advise taxi companies to use and rough price. On second day we were asked to change rooms with no explanation of why despite asking, after a couple of days we figured out its because we were initially in a higher spec room, not a problem but why not just tell us. Unless you need the space of having 2 seats no point in staying in more expensive rooms everything is identical. At around 1pm we left the room to find a cooking class in progress, would have been nice to be informed about it the day before! On subsequent days it didn't run not a problem for us as we had other plans. Bathrooms are lovely but poorly designed for taller guests. Booked bus to Hue via hotel $7 US each it was terrible, cramped seats, poor AC. Not a sleeper as we were told. Luckily it's a 4hr journey only some poor people were going all the way to Hanoi! Laundry is really expensive hotel proves per item not by the kilo. In summary a great place to stay and nice to see a bit of greenery, suggest you shop around for bus connections with reputable companies. Get the most from your stay by asking about all the activities on offer upon arrival and do laundry before you arrive!
