First time in Vietnam & we’ve thoroughly enjoyed it. ”
The lovely My, Belinda, Rebecca & Kevin we’re stand out staff who couldn’t of done anymore to make us feel welcome, appreciated & taken care of. The hotel is terrific! Lovely food, very clean, big pool & very nice rooms. Belinda arranged all of our tours after making suggestions of the best places to visit, sorted transport & got everything spot on! Laundry service is a bonus, very fast & done really well for very little cost. We cannot recommend Hotel Nostalgia highly enough & we hope to return in the future.

Amazing place to stay!”
We booked in for 1 night, but ended up staying 3, it's such great value, rooms and staff were incredible, so helpful and friendly and it's really only a short walk from the old town (I think this is good so you can escape the crowds). Will stay again when we come back for sure 😁

Fat pool, nice breakfast”
Our initial room had poorairconditioning, which we asked to be repaired that night. After little sleep due to the heat, we again aske do rather aircon to be fixed. Someone came and played with it, but it didn't improve so we asked to change rooms. Our new room (210) had much better aircon and a TV with good picture (which our 1st room was also lacking, but we weren't really worried about that). The pool at the hotel is awesome and a brilliant fresher after a days exploring Hoi An in the heat. The buffet breakfast was pretty good and included a omelette/pancake bar which was great. The service at the hotel was ok, but not as good as we have had at other similarly priced hotels in Vietnam. This is not to say the service was bad, just not as good as other places (eg when we asked to change rooms, we were just handed a new room key and moved our things ourselves. This wasnt a problem, but I can't imagine any of the other hotels we have stayed in allowing us to move our own baggage!). Having said that, when the hotel realised it was my partner's birthday, they got him a bunch of flowers which was a lovely touch. We didn't have the problems I had read in some reviews of the service levels changing if we didn't follow the recommendations of the hotel for tailors etc. Overall I would recommend people to stay here (the pool really is great) just don't expect the same exemplary service that you seem to receive in other hotels in Vietnam.

Amazing hotel in an amazing town.”
The location of the hotel is about 10-15 min walk to the very centre of Hoi An but its all flat so a very easy walk or cycle. The buffet breakfast is excellent, freshly cooked pancakes, eggs made to order, rice, noodles, soup, toast, fruit. we'd like to thank the lady chef who stood at the pan all morning frying everyones eggs! The restaurant itself it good too, we had 1 lunch and 1 dinner there during our stay and it had great variety. The pool area is gorgeous to relax after a day walking around the lovely town. Our room was nice and spacious with good air con and cable tv as well as in house movies on demand which was cool. The wifi was almost always perfect throughout our 6 day stay, even at the poolside! The staff are very friendly and helpful, especially the two main receptionists. However, we found one of the housekeeping staff particularly rude. She wouldn't let me enter the hotel one day as we had got caught in a monsoon rain shower and were soaking and would drip on the floor and on another day she rudely gestured towards me and tutted when I walked on her freshly mopped floor but I had no other way of getting past! We also did the "My Son" tour through the hotel, the bonus was we were picked up last as the hotel is on the edge of town on the way to My Son but the bus was old and had no air con and the tour guide was rubbish! Cheap and easy way to he there though I suppose! There are also a lot of reviews about the hotel construction, it really only woke us one morning of our week stay the rest were fine and we slept until 9am most days, it does get a bit noisy by the pool but its not too bad. Overall we loved this hotel, especially as we got such a good deal!

Staff is excellent and location super convenient”
We had a great stay at the Huy Huang Garden Hotel. Our bus came in at 7 an and they let us check in by 9 am, after having breakfast downstairs. One of the staff, My, organized accommodation, flights, busses, and tours for us in our very tight remaining 4 days in Vietnam for a reasonable price and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy through out our visit. The rooms are a good size and clean, although the mattresses are quite firm. We were happy to hang around the hotel in the mornings enjoying the breakfast buffet and decent sized and beautiful pool. We rented bikes both days we were in Hoi An so that we could explore the town as well as the beach about 4 km away. Hoi An is a beautiful town where we always felt safe and welcome. We would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and stay again as the price was unbeatable for the quality of stay.

Excellent Hotel Handy to Old District”
In Hoi An we stayed at the Huy Hoang Garden Hotel. The location was good approximately 5-10 minute walk to old quarter and 20 minute walk to the bus station for transfer to Danang. It was approximately 25 minute easy going bike ride to the beach. The standard of the Huy Hoang Garden Hotel is middle range but excellent with clean and tidy rooms and a great restaurant and swimming pool area. We booked a standard double room which was spacious with a comfortable bed, reliable air conditioning and good free WIFI. The ensuite was clean, spacious with a good shower. The hotel has good facilities so if you want a break from the beach or the old district you could easily relax on a lounger by the pool which has good shade to escape the heat. We ordered drinks and food by the pool which were both excellent. We also hired good reliable bikes to go to the beach. The hotel does a suberb included breakfast with a buffet of fresh fruit, hot and cold drinks, bread/toast and a couple of Asian dishes. In addition to that you can order a hot breakfast of eggs or omelet. The food is above the standard expected from a middle range hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. Their english wasn’t great however, they helped us book an overnight bus service to Nha Trang and stored our bags after we checked out. They recommended a good tailor in town which we visited and had good clothes produced. The hotel was excellent value for money with good rooms and probably the best overall hotel (budget/middle range) we have stayed during our stay in Vietnam. We were extremely happy

great hotel for budget travelers ”
Away from the crazy streets, but a nice walk into the busy area. The staff were great, very happy and helpful, we hired a bike for the day from the hotel and went to an ban beach (what a great day we had i would do this again, was about a 40 min cycle). We also booked a transfer back to Danang through the hotel as the bus coming was a bit horrible, and we had a 16 seater all to our selves, was great value for what we paid. There was one bad thing about this hotel and i think it was just where our room was, on the room above our room was the staff laundry area and it was very very noisy, we were worried a foot was going to poke through our ceiling. Over all a very enjoyable stay we extended our stay an extra 2 nights!! great hotel and happy smiling staff are always a pleasure to see. They did try to sell tours but not pushy at all-as we have read some of the hotel can be here. (Hoi An was great dont stay in Danang for long)

sweet rooms in a great hotel!”
arrived at the hotel and we were met as our driver took our backpacks out and they immediately helped us with our bags and checked us in. immediately I was impressed by the attention to detail by the front desk. the dbl room was spacious, big, comfortable and very clean. they had a lovely pool and a good breakfast was included with the $21 price. a bit more than some other accommodations around but for the amenities and service it is a wonderful value! they clean your room every day if u need/want. they extended breakfast hours for us (we are not early risers) and took care of any details of our travel if we needed w/o being pushy. it was my boyfriends birthday when we arrived and about an hour later they brought him a bouquet of flowers. totally satisfied with our experience. we were meant to stay 3 days and extended our visit for another 3. It's a little bit of a walk from Old Hoi An, about 10min. but I like that as it allows me to see outside the bubble of where the tourists congregate. so I see it as a plus. It was a great stay!

Comfertable stay”
My partner and I stayed here for one nig coming from Hoi An on the train we arrived at the hotel at about 4 am. We were exhausted and just sat in the lobby on the couch, we learns chck in time was not until 1. Very kindly the hotel let us check in early a room was cleaned for us and we were able to checki in at 8am instead normally you have to pay half the cost of the room to check in early but the staff were very nice and let us free of charge. Great customer service! The room was clean with one big bed fridge blow dryer tv with English channels hot water pot with cups for tea. A great place to stay if your just passi g through, in the heart of the back packing area. The one downside was that the seal on the door was not very good ere was a space the size of my finger between the wall and the door letting in light and noise. So if your a light sleeper this is not the place for you especially because of the loud music most of the night, maybe a higher floor would be better we were on floor 4. The room was also smallish not a ton of room this wasn't a problem for us but may be for others. The hotel includes breakfast as well but we didn't get to have it because of our early bus food wasn't served until 7am. Overall a nice place to stay.

Relaxing place to stop and explore Hoi An”
We had a lovely time at this place and would come back here again. Although located out of the main centre of Hoi An (there aren't that many hotels in the centre) it wasn't far to walk at all and we actually quite liked the walk back after a nice meal out. The pool was definitely the highlight for us and pretty much made this hotel! The beds around the side are also nice and relaxing and are a bonus for the stay. The only downside for us was that it could be a bit noisy in the mornings because the corridors were echoey and so children running around was a bit of a nuisance (there was a big family meal one night, so perhaps there were more kids than usual?). This didn't really bother us, but if you were a light sleeper it might. The breakfast was nice with a good selection and was a good start to the day - definitely worth a stay here!

Exceptional”
We stayed there with the recommendation of my friend who has just come back from her trip to Hoi-an. It was a few minute walking distance from the night market and Hoi-an old quarter. The staff were service-minded. The room was nice and well furbished. The pool also provided a good respite. We had a great time staying in this lovely hotel in Hoi-an.

Value for money ”
For the price of about 13 US dollars a night, this hotel met and exceeded our expectations. Breakfast and location are not bad. Less than 10 minutes to reach the old town of Hoi An. The only complaint was the wifi is weak to non existent in the room. You have to go to the lobby if you want a fast internet. This didn’t bother us as we went there to see the beautiful old city and enjoy the beaches. I definitely recommend this hotel.

Great hotel, great pool & great location! ”
We stayed here for 3 nights and couldn't fault the hotel at all. Our room was clean and housekeeping attended each day, the reception staff were helpful and the pool was fab! The included breakfast was also very good compared to many we have experienced in SE Asia! It is also in a great location, it is less than a ten minute walk to old town. Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel and will come back if we visit Hoi An again in the future!

Good place close enough to the action”
Close to the action but far enough away to be more peaceful than the centre of town. We had an upstairs, large airy room, with a comfy bed - coffee/tea facilities, fridge, aircon, tv, wifi, good shower ....but the area above our room was the laundry area & water storage & things start early in Vietnam! Breakfast was pretty good - though they do not serve French style bread that I prefer...I went across the road & bought some myself at VND3,000 baguette from a small vendor. The pool area is a decent place to congregate after a morning/afternoon of assembly hall/house/museum visits but it is still affected by the street traffic noise. The restaurant lunch was great - a bit more pricey than some places but much better quality we thought - with more veg, loads more meat & more flavour. The hotel do not push the restaurant but it is real good value. The street vendors on the waterside are cheap but very poor quality/value for money. This hotel was good choice for us & we'd stay again if in Hoi An - we have 2 reviews as we extended our stay!
