"We liked this place - it felt very new and clean. The room was spacious, except for the restroom which was smaller than at the other hotels we stayed at. The one downside is this station is next to nothing. There is a small plaza on the first floor but once evening arrives, that's closed and there is nothing nearby. The saving grace is it is right next to train station, so at least it is easy to get to Hakodate. We stayed here because our options in Hokuto were limited (relative lives in Hokuto so we wanted to stay here), but luckily this hotel turned out to be very nice. However, I'm not sure I would recommend it to anyone who doesn't want to visit Hokuto and isn't just staying there for a single night between train rides, because it is not conveniently located to much."
