Home away from home”
I booked this room for my daughter when her supposed Airbnb accommodation in Tokyo turned out to be unsafe. She sent her luggage to this hotel a day before she arrived and upon check in, she was told it was already in her room. I booked a single non-smoking room that was good enough to spend the nights in (since she had prefecture-to-prefecture day trips daily and only slept and took baths in the room). The bed had two regular pillows, one small decorative pillow and had a mattress that was in between soft and average. The flat-screen TV was huge. The refrigerator was cold but it takes time for drinks to cool. The shower and tub were okay and the water heater was working properly. The complimentary toiletries were great, especially the shampoo and liquid body soap, but the toothbrush was too hard. Room was always clean and bed was always made up at night but at some point, the cleaning lady forgot to put away the used coffee mug and replace it with a clean one. The location is great because it's only a good 10-15 minute walk from JR Kanazawa Station, not to mention one only has to walk straight without turning anywhere, making it easy to find. The Hotel itself is visible due to its location and height (its a huge square building with "ANA Holiday Inn Kanazawa Sky" in green on the side) but the hotel entrance down below is not that visible. It's also located near Omicho Market where one can find great but affordable restaurants (try out Mori Mori Zushi or Kaiten Zushi).

I lived in Kanazawa for 8 years, and I stayed at this hotel 10 years after I moved. The location is very good. It is within walking distance, although bus is available. The hotel is just in front of Omimachi-ichiba (fish market). English-speaking staffs are available, with the Japanese heart of Omotenashi.

The hotel is about 10-15 min walk from Kanazawa Station. The hotel lobby is at 16th floor, the view is very good. Hotel room is clean,staff is very friendly, and the overall experience is very comfortable.

The hotel was within a short walk of the station and close to many of the key tourist attractions of Kanazawa. The tourist shuttle between all the attractions stopped virtually right outside the door. Finding the door was more difficult than expected. As was finding reception (on the 16th floor).

Convenient location within walking distance to most major sites. The breakfast setting on the 16th floor came with near panoramic views of Kanazawa, friendly staff, excellent coffee and a broad variety of nicely prepared food.

Location”
It is a very pleasant stay. Staff were extremely polite and helpful. The room was not very big, but it is just next to the railway station, which makes it very convenient if you arrive in Kanazawa by train.

Great View on Kanazawa And Castle from restaurant”
Hotel is nice for tourist and business travellers alike. It sports a new interior design. The front desk consists really of 2 big desks on the 16. floor. There is a stylish setting area with the backdrop of big panoramic windows overlooking Kanazawa. The restaurant on the same floor serves good quality breakfast. There is a wonderful view from there on the Kenrokuen Garden, the Castle and the surroundings. The room might have been renovated, but the bathroom is sort of old. The ceiling in the shower was only 5 cm taller than myself. The bathroom really looked like a typical Japanese business hotel's bathroom. Also the room was a bit smelly, even as it was a non-smoking room. Anyway, i n summary, I would come here again.

Value for money”
It is good to take a taxi to the hotel if you are travelling with young children, many luggages, raining or snowing. We paid around 690-770 yen between Kanazawa station and hotel for less than 5 minutes ride.

Impressed”
Had a room with one extra mattress on the flooring, 3 of us. Still had enough space to move about. Layout of room really good. The room we had was definitely looked wheelchair friendly. The mattresses a real plus. I never encountered anyone non-smiling staff. Really professional. We walked to the hotel from the train station with one suitcase each quite comfortably. Hotel just across the Omicho market and walking distance to the Castle.

This is only 2-3mins to walk to wet market, and we can enjoy food at there. Good location as we also have department store at downstairs. However, this is ard 10-15mins walk to JR Kanazawa Station.

Would have been 5 stars if we were given a non smoking room as booked.”
We arrived late in the evening as planned. The room was excellent except it was a smoking room. We were too tired from traveling over 24 hrs to get here to request a change. With a rate of CDN$300, no meals included, we found it to be poor value for the money. Other than that, excellent location, nice boutique hotel feel.

Good hotel in great location”
Good location between the railway station and the castle and gardens - easy walking distance in either direction. Staff were friendly and polite. The food was very good, particularly breakfast which had a very good choice of western and Japanese food.

Depends on the room”
After a problem with our reservation, we spent one night in a classic single room and then got upgrade. First room was ok but a bit depressive. Second room was absolutely great, big, with a lotbof natural light. Location is 10/15 mins walk from station. Staff has a lot of trouble speaking english.
