Nice place at a good price”

This hotel was exactly what we were looking for in the Tampa area. We were close to the airport (but not affected by noise), the price was great, breakfast was excellent every morning which saved us a ton and the rooms were comfortable and clean and included a microwave and fridge. The outdoor pool was also really nice and so warm with a pretty view of the inlet. Ben T Davis Beach was less than five minutes away and was a nice little spot for a beach trip. Other major attractions (Busch Gardens, Aquarium, Zoo - highly recommend CityPass) were close to the hotel and right next door was a great restaurant called “Bahama Breeze.” I would highly recommend this hotel and I would stay here again if I’m looking for a no frills easy, and inexpensive place to stay in the Tampa area.

Very nice hotel with great location”

this is a very good location in tampa at pelican island, close to down town and clearwater and all the beaches. good size room with sea-view, very clean and fresh. complimentary breakfast is ok, but keep in mind this is american and not european standard. the hotel is very close to "bahama brezze" an outdoor restaurant with very good seafood as well as burgers, they have live music for lunch and dinner.

Always a good stay”

HI Express Rocky Point is always a good experience. This is the third time our reunion group has stayed there. Titus, the manager, is always accommodating. The complimentary breakfasts are tasty, the rooms clean and comfy. Nice pool and small workout facilities. Their shuttle will take you to the airport for free and other places for a small fee. It's next door to a Bahama Breeze or a short ride to other restaurants. I put 4 stars for facilities only because, if you expect it to be like a full service hotel, it isn't, but it's really good.

Overnight Stay”

We used the hotel on arrival into Tampa from the UK to get some rest before picking up a rental car the next day & it was perfect for what we needed. Location is handy for the airport, the hotel runs a shuttle & there is Bahama Breeze next door if you want a snack on arrival. We used the shuttle the next morning & the driver was kind enough to take us to the car rental centre instead of the usual drop off at departures. The room was clean & had everything we needed, the breakfast was a typical self service buffet but kept clean & quickly restocked.

the personnel was very kind helpful and efficient. two people at the fornt desk at late hours. nice new furniture and hotel menage. modern decoration. deliciuous fruit and hot breakfast complimentary. excelent price! near clear water beach

Hotel lacks updates...great location very poor accommodations. One elevator which stopped working during midday at check out. Advised by maintenance to take stairs, stairwell filthy. Towels like sandpaper and poor quality of toiletries. Free breakfast eggs had shells, pastries were stale, coffee several days o,ld. Oatmeal was like mush. Hot cinnamon rolls ran out after an hour serving. Fruit was the worst choice too ripe or not ripe enough. Pool area unkept. Very competitive location and Holiday Inn express at the worst, very dissatisfied.

Would stay again. Lovely location. Very varied breakfast, the best of the four hotels we stayed in during our trip. Really nice clean large room. Pleasant helpful staff.

The breakfast was good! The room was perfect size! Beds are comfortable! I could hear the neighbor talking and laughing at 2 in the morning was the only down fall. Other that I will be back again!

I requested to have the light in the bathroom work on. I stayed for 6 days . ”

I spoke at least with two teammates. Nothing happen. Only one light was on. Poor lighting in the bathroom is not fun. I was offered to move from the room or have it fix the next day. I had already unpacked and packed again once. I preferred the first floor. I would have to go to another floor. I choose to stay. Maintenance never showed up.

Pleasent and nice. Brekafast is probably the worst I ever seen, everything to choose fromwas from a plastic tray and if hot it was heated in the micro. Even the plates, glasses and cuttlery was plastic. All food was sweet and arteficial stuff. Horrible.

king size bed was very lumpy and hard and uncomfortable. Other than that it was really nice. oh, and the phone didnt work at all.

He pasado unso dias alli en mi viaje en Florida para visitar el museo Dali de Tampa, es un hotel tranquilo y bien situado, cerca de la ciudad, con parquing en el mismo hotel para los vehiculos, esto esta bien si se viaja con aoche de alquiler. Esta cerca de los lugares turisticos mas importantes y cerca tambien de las playas, hay un buen restaurante al lado mismo del hotel, banana algo mas era el nombre, no lo recuerdo, esta bien de precio y hay musica y animacion
