Entertainment/Transportation Hub Hotel Just Got Better”
With changeover from Remington to Holiday Inn Express, my favorite hotel in Metromanila just got better. The improvement was basic Filipino or American breakfast plate, to a full buffet. Prices seem to be the same for rooms, which is moderate for Metro Manila, but lowest of those in the proximity of this hotel (Mariott, Maxims, Belmont, and Sheraton). This Resort World/Newport Mall hosts concerts, live musicals, live bands, has four cinemas, a family karaoke rooms and numerous restaurants in the Mall. There is free transportation from this complex to any of the Terminals 1, 2 or 3 (T3 is walking distance using the Skybridge over the highway). Also, with a Resort World ID card, you can use any of a dozen free shuttle vans to Divisoria bargain shopping area, or other Metro Manila locations.
Excellent value and nice rooms.”
The Holiday Inn Express, formerly the Remington, is, in our opinion, the best hotel for your money at Resorts World Manila. The buffet is at best, mediocre but adequate. Fortunately, there are many other eating options nearby from McDonald's to Wolfgang's Steakhouse. We had one of the hotel's renovated deluxe rooms, which was nice. We like the proximity to the RWM complex and love the free shuttle to/from the nearby airport. If you wish to venture to downtown Makati or to Entertainment City, entrances to the skyway are close and provide a quicker route for 45 Php each way. Otherwise, traffic in Manila is horrible. The Holiday Inn Express, Newport City, Pasay, is usually where we stay when we are in Manila.
Exactly what you'd expect”
Had to book a one-night stay at the Holiday Inn Newport following an evening event from nearby Entertainment City. Instead of traveling all the way back home, I decided to stay the night at nearby Newport for another event the next day in Gran Marriot to save on expenses. As it is an express hotel catering to those that need a temporary respite from the airport, it's a clean and decent budget hotel. The room I stayed was quite dated, but it had all the needs I was looking for (clean bathroom, hangers for clothes, etc.) Additional lighting would have been better as the room was quite dim, including the shower stall which had no lighting whatsoever. They are in the process of renovating rooms, however which is a good thing. All in all, if you need a decent place to crash to without having to shell out a load of money, the Holiday Inn Express Newport is something I'd recommend to everyone.
Fun Next to Domestic Airport Terminal 3”
Free shuttle brings hotel guest to Remington or nearby hotels at Resort World complex in Newport City. It is just across terminal 3 perfect for those international travelers who are connecting to a domestic flight on Cebu Pacific (PAL is at Terminal 2). Mall across the street has cinemas with recliner type seating, many restaurants, high end shops, and live theater performances. Breakfast can be availed in any of three restaurants in hotel or in casino across the street. Casino runs 24 hours, and has a small nonsmoking gaming area on 2nd floor. Free entertainment in evening on a circular bar stage. Hotel has comfortable waiting areas with snack bar, while waiting for free shuttles to all terminals in Manila. Only complaint is inflexibility of check in and check out times. They would have more customers if they had half day rates.
Arrived in manila very early in the morning with my parents who are both senior so we asked the frontline staff if we could check in to our rooms even if it was still not check in time, the frontline staff accommodated our request and even waived the early check in fee! Thank you so much HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS Will definitely choose this hotel again whenever i come back to manila!
This was the third time I have stayed at the Holiday Inn Express while transiting through Manila, and I would definitely stay there again. It is close to the airport, and easy to get to and from the airport in a taxi. It is an excellent value for the money, especially compared to the other hotels in the area. The location is excellent. It is right next to the casino mall, which has several good restaurants, and there is a 7-11 and a McDonald's in the same building. There's a bit of a busy atmosphere in the lobby, but the rooms are quiet and comfortable. I would definitely recommend.
cleaner and more organized”
was surprised that Remington is now under Holiday Inn Management. We have been booking Remington for years and have always found it convenient to stay here for our early flights may it be domestic and international under the new management it seems its much cleaner, and organized. Before when we enter the lobby it is a bit a chaotic with a lot of people just loitering about the waiting area. the beddings are still the same though, hopefully they would provided much better beddings at par to that of Holiday Inn Express Hotels we have stayed in before as always the staff are excellent, everything is hassle free resorts world is right across to rid oneself of boredom while waiting for the flights with lots of dining options for sure we would stay here again
A nice hotel with great location”
It was my first stay with Holiday Inn Express Manila, the location is great and i must say all the staffs at the hotel were very nice and helpful making my stay a great one. I will return for another stay when i visit Manila again, and very soon.
This hotel is just across NAIA Terminal 3 and located in Resorts World. It’s fancy, that’s why it is pricey but the location is just perfect especially when you’re landing on Terminal 3 or heading there. Their shuttle comes every hour. They just changed it from Remington to Holiday Inn Express so I guess that’s why there’s no room service. It would be nice to have room service just so guests don’t need to go downstairs for food or bottled water. Our check in went smoothly as there weren’t a lot of people on the line as well as our check out, they checked the room fast. The room is well-maintained. They have a restaurant, bar and casino also for people who are not just looking for a place to relax but to unwind too. This was our first time at this hotel and would go back for its convenience.
FREE AIRPORT SHUTTLE ,1 mile to airport,Safe, Clean, Quiet hotel”
This is very close to the airport, Price was reasonable compared to American hotels, Exactly what I expected from a holiday inn express, Fridge in room, hot water pot with teas and instant coffee available in the room. The breakfast buffet was typical Filipino food, White rice, wet scrambled eggs, breads, and pastries, cereal and fresh fruit. Juice, and coffee for the drinks, It will fill the void till you can find better food. I would stay at this hotel again, it was clean, quiet in the room, hot water, towel and" washcloth"(washcloths must be in short supply in this country, you rarely get one in a hotel.lol).Bed and pillows and all linens were good. Liquid soap dispenser in the shower and beside sink no additional shampoo or soap provided. Staff was extremely nice, outgoing, and had no issues with checking in or out. Security staff in the lobby, and outside. Free shuttle to and from the airport. Hotel has elevator.
Holiday Inn Express is a great improvement ”
I've been staying at the hotel for years because of the location and airport shuttle but when it was Remington it was bad, really bad. With Holiday Inn Express coming in I can whole hardly recommended this hotel again. Update rooms, quicker check in and you can control the temperature in your room! That is a major change over Remington because their rooms were freezing and felt wet. One word of caution is there is a large construction project going on and it's very very loud unitl 7pm.
Very near to Airport with free shuttle rides to Airport”
This is my first stay in Holiday Inn Express (it was Remington hotel years back). I used to stay at Remington Hotel and the beds are okay. Location wise, it is very good. I have to say that the concierge were amazing and very accommodating. I also enjoyed the breakfast, although not much viand but its okay. at least they refill it. the hotel was quiet and i cannot hear any noise from other room. Checking out was also a breeze. Staff at the check in counters were friendly.
LONG LONG... JUST LONG!”
My stop in Manila was only half way through my trip and with a 12 hour layover, the Holiday Inn was the ideal location to have a shower a good sleep and take another flight. t's super close to the airport though i warn you, the Manila Ninoy Aquino Airport is one hell to get out of. Keep in mind that getting a cab takes an hour minimum but go to the Marriott station and ask for the free shuttle every half hour or so and it takes you right outside the Holiday Inn for free (something i only learnt after waiting for 45 min).
Family friendly hotel ”
Our stay was pleasant except for a few things. First, the accommodation was excellent. The room has enough space for the people (especially the kids) to move around. One thing that I can point out though, was the odor of I don't know what - the pillow, the matress or the beddings. At first we thought that the beddings weren't fresh but after the next day when the room was made, the beddings and the sheets were change but the odor lingered. It smells like "anit" or "umok". It's actually the first thing you'll notice when you open the door for the first time. I think Remington Hotel should look into this matter immediately. One more thing is the headboard. I don't know if its only me, but I think a headboard should be 'mattressized'. Another thing I have noticed is that Marriott and Maxims Hotel has an access to Resorts World (Casino, Newport Mall etc. etc.) which Remington lack. There was an instance that we had gone through the rain when we went for dinner in Newport Mall and on our way back to the Hotel. All in all, we enjoyed our stay at Remington Hotel. The service was superb from the shuttle service (back and forth to Lucky Chinatown Mall in Binondo), the security personnel, the people at the reception, concierge up to the room service personnel except for those small things mentioned above. I give it one thumb up!
👌🏻👊🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 we keep coming back”
this hotel is definitely our go to hotel for all our in transit flights to and from Manila. i left my phone in their hotel and was able to call them to check the room since we checked out super early in the morning and was in a rush for our flight it is currently being safekept by the hotel for when i come back to claim it thank you holiday inn may you be consistent in your great service. the members of your staff are courteous and excellent special thanks to janalyn @ reception for helping me out as i was panicking over my phone.
Great service, great place and location with comfortable and homely accommodations”
Love the place and it was very convenient to stay in this hotel with 5-star service and accommodations. I just hate it because we missed their breakfasts at 0600 because of my early flights. Recommend to my compatriots to stay in Resort World Newport City Manila a day before they fly.
Nice 1st night in Manila ”
My first time travelling alone internationally and 2nd time back to the Philippines after 16 years, the stay at the Remington Hotel was a very nice welcome after staying at a lesser hotel my last 2 nights in Bangkok, Thailand. Although I'm sure I severely overpaid for a car ride from the Airport to hotel (I was tired and just wanted to get to the hotel). My original intinerary was supposed to go from Bangkok to Manila, Manila to Laoag the same day, but Philippine Airlines changed the reservation to next day. Although the Hotel seems like a walk away from the airport, there doesn't seem to be an easy way to walk there. Once I arrived at the hotel 30 or 40 minutes later everything looked great. There is security at the front checking bags and wanding people, so the hotel seems somewhat secure and safe. Check-in was very quick, maybe 10 minutes and I was off to my room. I was relieved to see a nice modern, clean room with a kitchenette and fridge. The view was facing the storefronts of Resorts World but the only downside was the construction but I'm sure once whatever they're building is completed, it will be much more eye appealing. The staff was always polite and helpful and made the anxiety of travelling solo for the first time go away quickly. Being so close to the airport, they have flight schedules at hand and can advise you of which terminal you'll need to go to (if you don't know already). I didn't take advantage of the free breakfast so no review on food. I was afraid I'd miss my connecting flight so I wanted to make sure I didn't miss the next shuttle. Overall a great experience. I will be staying there again on my way back home for 2 nights. I hope I have the same great service!
Good for short transfer ”
location is great for inter-flight transfer since it has free shuttle to and from T1-3 every hour. Facility is good. In-room amenities are enough for good stay. Bed is large (2queen size) but bathroom is quite small. Surrounding area is quite safe for nightwalk around the block. Closed to casino (New port mall) and also other shop and convenience store around(7-11,watsons,familymart). In front of newport city there is also supermarket where you can grab some snacks local supplies fruits. Shuttle bus to airport T3 takes around 10 mins but you can also walk on skywalk if you travel light. Shuttle bus to T1/T2 took around 30mins on normal traffic. Shuttle bus is free of charge which is good.
clean , affordable ,near the airport and malls,”
quite, easy, comfortable, nice and clean , staff was accomodating , the price was affordable i got 50 % half of the regular rates., easy to book on line, with flat rate parking, near the airport , walking distance or accross resort world with movies, restaurant, amusements, entertainments..near other cities like makati, pasay ,paanaque , las pinas and manila
Convenient location, great value for money”
The hotel location is so convenient being right opposite NAIA Terminal 3. The price is so competitive and reasonable. This time I found out that the bed linens were not spotlessly clean however when I called the attention of their Housekeeping Team they were quick to replace the bed linens with good ones. I’d definitely be back to HIEx Newport Manila.
