The hotel is near Yizhong shopping district (about 5mins walk). There is an outlet mall below the hotel but nothing much to see. Very satisfied with the room conditions as it is spacious and clean. Provide free water bottles for hotel guest.

Generally, the hotel location is great with about 10 mins walking distance to Taichung Main bus or railway station. if your holiday planning requires to transit Coaches to sun moon lake or any central parts of taipei? then this hotel is quite a good choice. Otherwise, my suggestion is try other hotel with more eateries around it. There is a Sun Plaza outlet just behind the hotel, Lots of sports brand having massive discount . However this outlet is rather small , therefore dont waste too much time on it. Morning breakfast is a "thumbs down" with very limited variety. My suggestion is spend more time in bed , its much worth it comparing to the hotel breakfast.

Strange arrangement mixed in with shopping centre”
No mention on booking blurb that room looks out on inside of shopping centre and anyone walking down hallway can see right into your room. No daylight. Breakfast is for Asian tastes. Western part is token. The area , despite the park across road is in one of the crudier sub parts of a relatively nice city.

I stayed 6 nights at holiday inn Taichung park hotel and the experience was superb! Great location, very close to a bus terminus that provides access to most major tourist attractions in/near Taichung, I was able to just walk down the street and hop on a bus to Sun Moon Lake within minutes. The hotel is right across from Taichung Park which was a very nice park for an afternoon stroll. Across the park is one of the famous night markets in TC, was a fun night market experience for us. Around the night market there is a big shopping area with international brands and some malls, quite a pleasant shopping area. The hotel is also very close to "Sun cake street". Apparently Sun Cake is a famous local delight and a good choice for souvenir to bring home. Hotel staff was very friendly, and room is super clean. I was a bit disappointed that the hotel does not have heat. Usually TC is quite warm but the days we were there, the temperature got weird and was very rainy and cold. I was freezing in my room, but the staff was friendly enough to bring me a portable heater. The breakfast was okay, not my favorite things on the menu but overall it was decent. Overall I am very satisfied with my stay at holiday inn Taichung park hotel. I love the location and will definitely recommend it to my friends who may visit TC in the future.

New and no-fuss hotel with gd breakfast spread ”
Holiday Inn Express hotel is really a modern and spacious hotel with large room and spacious corridor as well. My husband and I were given a room on the top floor and overlooking the Taichung Park, with a generous view of the Taichung City. The breakfast is an American spread with salad and dressing, and i specially like the coffee-maker, offers good capuccino and latte. There's grapefruit juice and honey U-mei drink which i particularly liked.

Beautiful Hotel and Accessible”
i love holiday inn express and everytime i come to taichung, i make it a point to stay there. the hotel is very beautiful and i have misplaced my sweater at kaoshiung. the staffs are kind enough to help me make a phone call and inform me whether the sweater is being mailed to holiday inn express. the breakfast buffet is very good with delicious food and a wide selection of dishes for you to choose from. the rooms are clean and there is a room situated at another floor where you can wash your laundry and iron your clothes

Good location and nice room design”
After a three days trip at 清境, we have a tired walk at 埔里, and at last, we arrived Taichung city. Holiday day Inn express is convenience, just 10 minutes walk from Taichung rail station. Check-in service is fast and nice directions of the staff. After we moved in to the room, we took a shower at once and the hand shower is nice. The room is tidy and there are variety of TV channels to choose. By the way, there is improvement room to the breakfast buffet, there are not much variety of food but with that room cost, it's reasonable.

Great location next to the Taichung Park”
The Holiday Inn Express in Taichung is a convenient hotel for the business traveler who enjoys the amenities of home. The hotel lobby is staffed by friendly English speaking young people who are eager to serve. The breakfast buffet offers a suitable variety of options, but is geared more toward the Asian taste. The hotel is located across the street from the lovely Taichung Park. This park is definitely worth the time to take a meander through and enjoy the lush foliage, ponds, beautiful flowers, cute little animals, and interesting sculptures. The room was clean and quite handy for using my computer and taking care of the business I needed to do while in Taichung. The ground floor has a variety of high-end apparel and shoe shops, making it convenient to look for anything you might want.

Nice Modern Hotel with Friendly Service”
holiday inn express seems to be a rather new hotel and the room we got was spacious and came with sofa and coffee table. the wardrobe was stocked with disposable slippers and the bed was really comfy. there is nothing more that we could ask for. even the bathroom was fantastic with a rain shower. no bath tub though but that was ok with us. the breakfast was so-so and there could be more choices. the good thing about the breakkie was it has food catered to western taste. we did enjoy our stay there very much and will gladly stay there again.

Excellent Location, helpful staff, worth for value”
We took 70 mins from Airport Bus #302 to the terminus where Holiday Inn Express Hotel just in front of us (3 mins walk). Counter attendants are helpful and make you feel pleasant. When they know we will be back after Penghu's tour, they initiatively suggested us leaving part of the luggage to them for safe keeping. The 'Yat Chung Night Market is about 15 mins walk from the hotel. The buffet breakfast is good and it would be better if they provide more kinds of fruits.

I could always trust Holiday Inn (Express) for a pleasant stay. Staff was amazing. Location is great to me, 10mins walk from train station; 15mins walk from Hotel to Yi Zhong shopping district. However breakfast wise, I think it's pretty bland and lack of selections.
