Great location, room size good, very comfortable.”
This was a great location and stay. The hotel staff were very considerate and helpful. We checked in early but the staff were ready to welcome us. We did not need to use their parking which would have been expensive. The location was super for walking to the Pier, the beaches, all around. The tram line ran right by the back of the hotel and it was not far to catch the Cable Car line. We really enjoyed our stay in San Francisco and part of the reason was this great hotel. The rooms were quiet, the room temperature was very good and there was WIFi available with the key code from the desk staff.
This hotel was very convenient. It's near the Fisherman's Wharf. And the Hop On Hop Off bus picks up passengers at the corner. It worked perfectly for us. The buffer breakfast was also good. But the best thing about this hotel , was the very helpful staff. They go out of their way to assist you. Thank you.
my family really enjoyed our 4 days 3 nights stay at this amazing hotel. its location being in the vicinity of the fisherman's wharf area makes it easy for us to go in and out to shopping and and back to hotel for a little rest and go back out again to shop. really amazing. not to mention the numerous sight seeing attraction in the area
Consistent Holiday Inn Service”
I've stayed in other Holiday Inn hotels. It is an international chain and their service is consistent. I truly enjoyed my stay at the Holiday Inn Fisherman's Wharf. I wish I could have stayed longer.
Holiday Inn Fisherman's Wharf Hotel is easy to find - our mapquest directions took us right there which is quite a feat in a city we don't know. The location was perfect for all the things we wanted to do and the facilities were great. We only booked for one night but asked to stay a second night. Unfortunately they were sold out for that second night, but were kind enough to let us keep our car in their underground parking until 6 - that really extended our day and we had a blast. Friendly and helpful staff. Can't wait to go again.
Decent stay, but spendy”
Very comfy bed. I've rarely slept so well. But being San Francisco and being fisherman's wharf, you are going to pay a lot.
Holiday Inn Fishermans Wharf”
The location of this hotel is very good, being near Fisherman's Wharf, buses, taxis and cable cars. The room sizes were good although the double beds were a touch small for a couple sharing. The view from our rooms was very good with a good view of Alcatraz. It was very noisy though at night, as we were located along Fishermans Wharf itself, which is busy at all times. One of the reasons for booking this hotel was the outdoor swimming pool as we had teenagers in our group who liked to swim, however, the hotel located us in another block which was too far away for them to make use of the swimming facility, which was a big disappointment. We also asked for non smoking rooms but one of the room had clearly been used to smoke in. Overall I would book this hotel again but ask to be located in the main block, not down the road.
Great value for money hotel...”
Overall, we had a great time staying at Holiday Inn Fisherman's Wharf Hotel. What I like most is that the staff are very friendly. They are mostly Filipinos so I feel at home staying at Holiday Inn...
With no shuttle you can pay $17 a person for an airport van shuttle. The hotel rooms are very clean, but the elevator is a little jumpy. Fisherman's Wharf is a great place to take it easy, try the food and walk around.
Basic accommodations. Convenient good location.”
The accomodations were very basic. For this price you could stay in five star hotels in other parts of the world, but San Francisco itself is quite expensive. The porterage to our room was 3.75$ per bag. As we had six bags, this was quite expensive for us. Location was great with proximity to the wharf, car rentals, cable car and bus stops and restaurants. However, we found that Pier 39, which now seems the most popular spot on the wharf, is quite a walk from this hotel.
Very good location. ”
We came to see San Francisco, found hotel in Internet and didn't regret. Very close to piers, walking area, good starting point to every place in the city. Nice morning and evening views to the sea, which is 5 minutes walking.
It's 10 minutes to Fisherman's wharf and 10 minutes to cable car stops. Good location. Room is clean and comfortable.
location is awesome!”
It is located near fishermans wharf. It is comfortable with good facilities at a resonable rate compared to others. The reason why I chose this hotel is located in a safety area. But outside of it, the bar(night club) runs every day. I wasn't able to sleep until 3 am. ( It was closed at 3 am!!!) but staff was really kind, helped me change room right after my request!!
Short sightseeing stay in San Francisco”
we were 2 couples staying at holiday inn Fishermans Wharf. the hotel is perfectly located and in walking distance to Pier 39. we booked the rooms including breakfast. the breakfast buffet is good with eggs, bacon, fruit etc. travelers should be aware of that the hotel charges for parking, maybe it is standard in San Francisco I am not sure. but the parking fee is 52 USD per 24 hours.
Best location without burning your pocket”
Everything is great, from room to staff and location! If you are driving, you can park at the carpark behind as a cheaper option. You dont need a car to tour around fisherman wharf except if you want to drive down lombard crookest road. Hotel is worth every dollar.
Very good location with friendly staff”
Holiday Inn at the Fisherman's Wharf has a very good location. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Great rooms. Fabulous location. Amazing service!!!”
we stayed in 2 rooms next to each other. it was christmas eve and christmas day and the day after. the staff was so nice and cheery. they gave us great directions and helped get taxi's. the down side is they charged $39.00 per day for parking that somehow i completely missed when booking. we loved the rooms and the convenience of staying so close to the wharf since i am limited on my mobility. over all a great place to stay as long as you know you have to pay a lot to park.
Clean, Confortable, Close to the Wharf”
Had a great time in San Francisco, staying at the hotel. The hotel doesn't have breakfast but there's Denny's restaurant located right inside the building very easy to grab breakfast before starting your day. We stayed there for 2 nights and parked our car at the parking structure across the street from the hotel ($30 per night). If you park at the hotel, they charge your $40 per night.
Great Location! steep price considering its a 3 star”
comfy beds, amazing location to fisherman's wharf and all tourist things, very expensive stay for a hotel lacking in luxury
Great Location ”
Liked the location and the service staff. It is only a short walk to Fisherman's Wharf, bus stops and street cars stop. Even going to Golden Gate Bridge was easy as it requires only one change of bus. Pier 39 was only 10 minutes walk away, so was the cable car stop. Only disadvantage - no free airport transfer.
