Perfect place to stay. All the staffs are nice.”
The hotel was very clean staffs are all nice. The hotel was very near to do a nice walking to World Trade Center and the Financial district.
Located in lower portion of New York City itwas very close and convinient to Baterry Park (Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island access point) and Wall Street. It is not close to other NYC attractions so you will need to use cab or subway which is not expensive but with family of 4 it adds up. There is parking that is close by but there is no in and out privileges. Cost is $35 for 24 hours . Only disadvantege is long waiting for elevators. Otherwise it is worth your money
Perfect location and it can't be much better! ”
If you are looking for a hotel at the perfect location, then this is what you are looking for. Not much of a food or dining experience in this hotel, or in this district of the city, so if that is what you are looking for, then there are probably a few other better places to stay at. Pick a room at a higher floor (30-46), and in the north east corner of the building, then you will have a view over Hudson River and the One World Trade Center.
Spacious room, good location. ”
Bathroom was a little small, not suitable for two people staying for a long time but was ok for one person for one night. For a 4* hotel I think complimentary water should be offered in the rooms as is in other hotels I have stayed in in New York in the area.
The location of the Hotel is excellent. The hotel is right next to the 9/11 memorial and the NY stock exchange. There are multiple subway stations right around the corner. Cabs are easily available at odd hours. There are decent cafes around the hotel for breakfast. The hotel staff is fairly supportive, although, there are only two-three people who are present at the front desk which makes the process time consuming. On a few occasions though, I did feel that the staff were being unsupportive. One must not count on an early check-in or a late check-out. The facilities in the room could be a bit better. The rooms are small but then its NYC. The baggage storage facilities are very useful and they usually have space available. Although, if a person wants to leave a baggage overnight, they charge USD 5 per bag per night. Overall, had a good experience.
location ok, room a bit small”
near wall street, so can feel the financial heartbeat of NY. just the room is a bit tiny, barely fit for 2 people and a luggage, thats it. shower water sometimes hot, sometimes cold, has to be careful.
Nice staff, but chinese furniture.”
Staff in this hotel is amazing. Rooms very small- but Ok its NY. What i didnt like is cheap not working well chinese stuffed room. Especially problem is with sink. I am often in china as well and room was just copy/paste what you can find everywhere in china.
Basic but nice hotel”
Most of all, this hotel is high rise skyscrapers. 50 storys building. So, definately, hotel view is nice. You can feel the city in your room. Very basic and this hotel serves minimal service. but, I think it is enough. The city has millions of interesting things. Perhaps, You will not kill the time in the hotel. Room is clean. Bed is comfortable. Highly recomended.
Convenient but Average”
The hotel had a good location -- it was fairly near the subway stations and we had no problems walking around the area. We like that it is generally less crowded in this area than the more touristy places of New York. The room felt a bit cramped and stuffy. The bathroom sink was very small and had no place to lay toiletries. Also, elevators were limited compared to the number of floors so they were always full. It was especially difficult for us to take the elevator down to the lobby everyday since we were located at one of the lower floors and the elevator would always be full by the time it got down to our floor. It would be faster for us to take the stairs down to the lobby rather than waiting for an elevator that could accommodate us. But overall, our stay was good.
Overpriced for what it is in my opinion ”
The price I was told on the website didn’t include the taxes so was around $100 more and then you have to pay another $100 which gets refunded to you if don’t use the amenities etc. So just be prepared for this when planning your holiday budget and have back up money because I wasn’t told any of this. I don’t know if this is normal as it was my first trip in the states but I’ve been told the $100 will be refunded 5-7 days after checkout. If you’re visiting as a tourist the financial district probably isn’t the best location as it’s a little far but the subway does get you everywhere. The room itself and for what I paid was pretty small the bathroom. room sink was tiny, when washing your face water would splash not what I’d expect from a king room. The reception staff weren’t very welcoming the lifts only work with your room card very annoying and inconvenient if you have guests. Water only from old vending machines Pros: the view from the window was nice to wake up to every morning.
Great location ”
Excellent week spent at hotel. Very attentive staff and week trained. Nice room with view. Housekeeping was fantastic. Even cute pub next door that serves breakfast lunch and dinner. Will definitely stay again.
Good location and fair price”
Second time staying there and still happy by and large. One accident happened when picking up my checked bag and the handle got broken. Old suit case so no big deal.
Great value hotel but we have a fire scare”
I was put in the 50th Floor with the Hudson River view. Perfect size for 2 people, a bit cramp for 3. The front desk staff were efficient and friendly. The cleaning staff were efficient and friendly. The hotel is near Wall Street and 911 memorial complex. We had a fire scare with the fire alarm going off at 10pm. It was a false alarm and I take a false alarm any day than a real fire.
Good Hotel in a Good Location”
This hotel is pretty good, the location is great, with two subways nearby, wall street and rector street which will get you uptown quickly. However, what let this stay down for us, was that at 4.00pm when we arrived, our room wasn't ready, when check in was supposed to be at 3pm. We then had to wait until 4.30pm before we could be allowed into the room, we weren't offered a free drink whilst we waited, instead we paid for our own, and to have been on a 12 hour journey and for the room to be ready wasn't really good enough. Next point, is the $100 deposit, that you have to pay for the room on top of the room cost, this apparently will be returned in 7-10 working days, which is just utterly ridiculous. Especially when I wasn't expecting this additional cost to be coming out of my account. And lastly, don't believe the cost shown when you book, this is without all the several different taxes, which I wasn't aware of until the day we checked out. Not very impressed with the hidden costs.
Good hotel in Manhattan's financial district”
Quite good in general terms. The hotel is new. The front desk staff are professional and attentive. The heating vans in our rooms were too noisy and too close to the beds, which made it difficult for us to sleep well. After an awful first night, we had to turn off the heating before going to sleep, and then it got very cold in the room, but in the end it was the lesser of two evils... I guess it is difficult to change that type of heating system, but something should be done. We were not beligerent on the matter, but not sure if all guests would accept to choose between good rest or good climatization.
Great Location but...”
Fab hotel with everything you could possibly need at you’re disposal but, I booked 2 adults one child noting her age as 15 I opted for breakfast option & when I asked for the vouchers which I hadn’t been given for this I was told that my daughter wasn’t entitled to a voucher.. neither was she entitled to the free breakfast! So I had to spend $35 dollars on breakfast for the 3 of us having already paid for the more expensive breakfast option. If this is the case other than have the embarrassment of expecting a breakfast maybe it needs to be explained in the description that if you have a child older than 12 they need to starve as they don’t get a voucher a little better!
Amazing hotel - eat outside ”
We celebrated our anniversary so we got some additional small gifts. The view is perfect on high levels. The staff was amazing and very nice The room was spotless and very comfortable The food in their restaurant (the Chinese one) wasn’t our cup of tea.
Nice room but too noisy”
The room was nice and clean. But there was an ice dispencer in front of my room which made me hard to sleep because of the annoying noise. I called to the front but there was no difference. Soon i realized that it wasn't a big deal because the air conditioner in my room was even noisier :( Location is great. Nearby the metro station and 911 memorial museum.
I came to here for travel with my friend. In my memory, the receptionists are very kind. But the room is little small to compare with my expectation.
Good location and reasonable price”
The hotel is just at the corner near the WTC and you can walk to subway station only few minutes walk. The room was a bid small, but it was very clean and the good hospitality at reception. Only the thing I disappointed was the heater in the room which wasn't warm enough when the outside temperature down below minus degrees...
