“Good place to stay, but...”
Overall we booked 2 rooms for a family with 2 adults and 3 kids - for 4 nights - this was in month of March 2025. Pros: - Good location. Across the main road from the beach. Though this beach is not much of a 'beach fun' place. We visited Railay beach for the real fun. This beach is good to get boats for transit and generally getting your feet wet. Lot of shops and restaurants nearby. - Standard but good bkfast everyday - 3 different pools - including one with slides and a foam machine in another - kids loved that - Good clean rooms with good room service Cons: - We paid extra for express checkin, and requested early checkin a day before also - but the staff still took their own sweet time, with no proactive updates, and got us 1 room by 2 pm (only 1 hr before regular checkin time) - entire family waited for 4 hrs in hot open reception area (they have no ac here). While they may have been genuinely really swamped - takeaway is don't expect early checkin support at this place. - Touch of sea water in washbasin, so while brushing even my kids would say water is salty and not comfortable to brush - Slacky service near the pools - 1 day beach towels were not available and staff asked us to get it ourselves since all towels were used up - no elevator to 3rd floor last row partial sea-facing rooms. There is an elevator till 2nd floor and then you have to take the stairs. We were ok but if any one can't climb stairs - you are stuck. Tip: Partial Sea-facing rooms are not worth paying the extra money - get a pool side room for easy access to pool fun, better ROI
