Romantic, classy, but you pay for it!”
I was a single at Holiday Inn, amongst a heap of couples, mainly in their 30-50s. So I was a tad lonely to be frank. Still, if you want to relax in style, this is a great place, and if you are a couple, this really is a great spot. Everything at the hotel is 1st rate except the rooms, which are still OK. Laem Tong beach is right away from the action at Tonsai village on the complete opposite end of Phi Phi, so don't expect many activites of any sort outside the resort. Be prepared to pay through the nose for everything. There are a couple of restaurants in the Sea Gypsy village next door that are still expensive for Thailand, but are a heap cheaper than Holiday Inn (although no where near as nice) ALso there's a couple of tents on the lawn of a cheaper resort along the beach where you can get a great massage for half the cost of the Holiday Inn spa. But of course, tents are not a spa! I didn't hire a long tail boat from the Sea Gypsys for snorkelling, but would imagine that they give you exactly the same service as you get from the Holiday Inn for half the price, although you'd have to either hire your snorkel gear from Holiday Inn or bring your own. Even with hiring snorkel gear, it'd still be cheaper I should imagine. If you want to hire a long tail boat to get to Tonsai Village, do not hire one from Holiday Inn, go next door to the Sea Gypsys, bargain a little and save yourself 400 baht each way! Gym was good. Snorkelling at Mosquito Island is the best on Phi Phi by a country mile. Snorkelling on the reef in between Mosquito and Laem Tong beach was only as good as that everywhere else on Phi Phi... good but not remarkable. So anyways, to summarise, top spot for romance, or if you want to do nothing, and you're wealthy, but otherwise, stay at the other end of Phi Phi!

A great place for a very relaxing vacation”
After reading previous reviews. The Holiday Inn was everything I expected. Although, it is a bit expensive, it was definitely worth it. The beaches, water, and sunsets from that part of Koh Phi Phi are breathtaking. The restaurant was very good and the breakfast that was included in the room price was first rate. The Holiday Inn also had a happy hour every day where most drinks were BHT 100 ($3.00). The bungalow where we stayed was a seaview and was great for the price. If it is in your price range I would recommend staying in the seaview or beach bungalows. The gardens are up on the hill and away from the beach. In addition, there is a great place to watch the sunset from a bar on a hilltop that overlooks the ocean. After checking out the other accommodations on that part of Koh Phi Phi Island, I think the Holiday Inn is your best bet. The Zaeveola is just as good if not better, but much more expensive. For those who are on a budget, there is area right next to the Holiday Inn called Gypsie Sea Village. Here you can eat, and buy groceries for much cheaper than the Holiday Inn or any of the other hotels. The rooms were a bit dated, but clean and comfortable. There are no t.v.'s in the room and the hotel has 2 computers for internet in the lobby. The rate they charge is $7.00/hour. Finally, there is no nightlife here, but if you are considering this part of the Island, you are not interested in that anyway.

Beautiful resort by the seaside”
very good experience at holiday inn resort phi phi island. my family all love the beautiful garden with grand trees covering each bungalow and those tropical flowers around. the room is nice and private, soft bed, clean floors, and nice view from each window. the only weakness is the shower water not hot in our room (in my mum's room the water is ok), but this can be omitted. don't trouble to go to jasmine or the other restaurant nearby the hotel. we went there only to find too many flies flying over plates and meals. so we had lunch and dinner only at the hotel, the restaurant outside on the beach. the food is surprisingly good, and the view is amazing, even at night you can hear the tides rhythm and enjoy the breeze from the sea. the restaurant manager is very kind and interactive, who is quite good at small talks with guests and offered to take picture for my family in the dinner. and finally the price is also acceptable compared with the two local restaurants nearby. the view at the sunset bar is amazing, we went there twice but pityfully did not have a sunset view because of the weather. as to the service, all is satisfactory except for a wrong bill on our room number upon check-out, which was finally a hotel mistake. i don't quite like the receptionist's look when we pointed out the mistake, which i hate to say but is rather mean. and we were kept waiting at the reception desk for nearly half an hour before the mistake was settled. and we saw no smile or sincerity in her apology throughout the waiting. but anyway, all others are good and we quite enjoyed our stay in the resort and will definitely give it a priority choice next time we come to phi phi again.

Best Resort on Phi Phi Islands !!!”
Loved It !!! I stayed in villa 212 which is very close to the beach. Although the villa isn't very big from inside but it's worth the money. Good things ?? 1. The Villa Furnishing 2. Welcome Cookies & Drink 3. The Location of the Beach best in Phi Phi 4. Secluded and clean beach with clear waters & Free from Day tourists ! 5. Good Breakfast 6. Best Sunset Bar 7. Amazing infinity pool with sunset bar. 8. Few Good restaurants next to the Resort. 9. Service of the staff is the best I observed among 6 hotels i stayed in this 2 weeks Bangkok trip. Cons: 1. Difficult to access as it is far from main Phi Phi beach area but it was great for me. Only private long tail or ferries that come 2 times a day are methods of coming & leaving Laemtong Beach Statement - Loved my stay at Holiday Inn Resort Phi Phi

Awesome!!”
This is the 1st time stay in Holiday Inn Phi Phi, I book 2 rooms myself, my husband together with my parents. The room is very close to the beach, and individual bungalows with trees & flowers make the garden looks so beautiful : ) If you like snorkeling without going too far, the beach front the hotel would be a good option. I went there when tide down in the early afternoon, and see fishes around coral. My parents loved Sunset Bar up on the small hill at the other side of the hotel, you can see beautiful views. 3 nights are very short stay for us... if we have a chance I will definitely to choose Holiday Inn Phi Phi for lovely vocation! Love Phi Phi and love Holiday Inn.

absolutely breathtaking scenery”
Our stay was amazing! My boyfriend and I travelled to Phuket for 16 days and spent 3 days, 2 nights in Phi Phi. We were pleasantly surprised with the Holiday Inn on the island. It was beautiful and the trees, chairs, tree swings and hammocks on the beach were exactly what I wanted when I came to Thailand. The water felt amazing and was super clear. We liked that they had an adult pool. We definitely used that for some day beers with the South Africa couple that we met there as well. The four of us did the 4 hour boat trip to Phi Phi Le. That was totally worth it. Got to see Maya Bay, go snorkeling, see the monkeys etc. Such beauty. We were in awe. Walking the grounds of the hotel was lovely. Dinner right on the beach was awesome. Bring mosquito repellent if you go in the summer months. We got ate up until we sprayed. Really an enjoyable time and had we known it was going to be so awesome there we would have stayed longer.

My favorite vacation spot in the world”
Pros: Chrystal clear water, amazing-white-soft sand, polite & respectful staff (especially Tor and Nattha from the restaurant). We got a chance to meet the executive chef and what a kind, loving gentleman! If you are looking to get away to heaven without having to die, go to Phi Phi Holiday Inn. If you are a lover of water, swimming, untouched nature, this place is for you. Also visit Chilli and Pepper restaurant right by the hotel. The owner is a beautiful human being and you'll love the views and the food. I recommend you taking the stroll to the village as there are some amazing small beaches along the way. You can take the "taxi" back. Cons: we stayed in room 611 and the water pressure was very low, but honestly I could care less because everything else was magical. Holiday Inn, you're lucky to have amazing people work for you. Your location is the best, but at the end of the day, the people are the ones making the difference. Would LOVE to come back!

Hideaway in paradise”
This resort is located at Leam Tong beach which I think is the most beautiful and peaceful beach in Phi Phi and Holiday Inn occupy more than a half of it. The accommodations are good and the pool is nice. But forget those things and go to the beach, you’ll have a private beach with crystal clear sea water. We can do some snorkeling right at the front of the resort. The food is pricy with limited varieties. Try local restaurant next to the resort.

Perfect Paradise with superb service”
If you are looking for a haven, Holiday Inn Phi Phi resort is one of the best place. Staffs were all friendly and accommodating. Food tasted very authentic, though they could improve the breakfast buffet with more Thai food options. The setback was the 2 hours travel from the main Phi Phi island pier to the hotel because of the rainy season there were very rough waves, suggest that you take a bigger boat to the island. And some activities could not be done because it is weather permitting, so before you go make sure it is during the sunny weather. Maybe they could offer more promotional rates for the hotel.

Getaway ”
We flew into Krabi and got a deal on a return ferry ticket to Phi Phi in local travel shop, the beauty of buying here was it was an open ticket and not restricted to certain times. Think we paid 1900bhat. We could use any ferry going to Phi Phi also. You do have to pay an extra 200bhat PP to get to Laemtong beach where The Holiday inn is. The check in was flawless ,the staff and manager made you feel special. The facilities were great. The breakfast buffet was unreal. All of the staff were so nice and very helpful. If I was going back I wouldn’t hesitate to book this hotel again.

Holiday Inn Koh Phi Phi”
We ended up arriving a day early to Koh Phi Phi, but were very pleased by the Holiday Inn. It's located on a beautiful, quiet beach, and if you're going to be staying somewhere a couple extra days, this is a very nice place to do it. The food at the restaurants is delicious and open right out onto the beach. It's great in the evening especially, and we enjoyed eating on the beach and watching the sunset. There's not any nightlife to speak of, but this is a great place for families and people looking for a quiet place to relax.

Perfect for couples and kid's.”
I have to say that my stay at Holiday Inn was the best! They ended up giving me an upgrade so i was closer to the water. Let me say this area of Phi Phi Island is the best. The food and drinks where great!!! Price drinks a bit pricey but it's holidays so i didnt mide after a few they give you drink cards with discount then you want more. The bar at the top was just a huge Wow!!! I spent alot of my time up there. The rooms are very nice a bit small but it was stil a great stay. I would stay there again but they do need to fix the bugs that are always around. I would stay at The Holiday Inn resort again just make sure you bring extra off so you dont get eaten to death, lol.

a must to stay”
this hotel is awesome and a must stay when you visit phi phi island. location is a bit far from tonsay bay (the main port and area in this island), you can use longtail boat for about 30-40 minutes. however, once arrived in this hotel, it is great. location is very nice with the beautiful beach. room is great, in front of the seat and have 2 bathrooms (indoor and outdoor). staff is helpful and great. food is great taste. in front of this hotel, there are 2 snorkeling spots i.e. mosquito island and hai klang, a must stop to snorkle and of course take a trip to phi phi leh to see everything (maya bai, pileh bay, etc).. a lovely beautiful island and an awesome hotel to stay

Holiday Inn Koh Phi Phi”
We really enjoyed our stay at Holiday Inn Koh Phi Phi. The hotel is on a gorgeous beach away from all the crowds. We went during the rainy season, so we got rained in a lot and were unable to do a lot of the activities we had hoped to do, but the hotel was not such a bad place to be stuck at. The staff is really nice and the food is delicious. Since it is right on the beach, whenever there was a break in the rain, we were able to run down to the beach for a bit.

Phi Phi Paradise for 2nd Honeymoon”
first international holiday for my husband and i, after 20 years of marriage, so i wanted to stay a couple of nights at very special place. holiday inn at phi phi island was the most perfect paradise. booked a beachfront bungalow for 2 nights. bed very comfortable, very clean, little back deck right on the beach, air conditioning - great! loved the outdoor shower under the stars. great place to do nothing but relax or take a long boat (as we did) to the less busier bays for swimming and amazing snorkelling. was also the little extras that we didn't expect, that was so wonderful - like complimentary cold towels and drinks from staff servicing the pool area. we're not experienced overseas trippers, but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and plan to take the 3 kids back next year.

A great holiday retreat! ”
What a beautiful resort! We stayed here for 2 nights and we were impressed with the quality and value for this hotel. Yes, it's a bit further (additional .5 hour ferry ride from Tonsai peir) but if you want to get away from everything, this is the ideal place. Love the individual bungalows with everything you need, including a comfortable bed and pillows, air cond, clean bathroom, flat screen tv, lots of windows, patio, safe deposit box, and toiletteries. Since our booking included breakfast buffet, we ate there twice. Good options (thai and western) but tastes probably average. We ate lunch and snacked at the outdoor restaurant which was also decent and quite tasty (try the set menu for a better deal). For dinner we went to Jasmine just next door (a very "local" dining place) and Sawasdee (more upscale restaurant with bbq seafood, and nightly entertainment). Warning to bring and use your mosquito repellant everywhere you go!! The pools (one family and one adults only) were great, and the water sports centre had snorkelling equipment, life vests, kayaks (free rental). We took a longtail boat to bamboo and mosquito islands nearby and it was a great experience! Tried to book a speedboat to maya bay and other islands but wasn't available (minimum 5 people required). However we had a great time snorkelling, walking and unwinding just steps away from our bungalow. Everything you need is just there so we really enjoyed the resort. We would love to return if we visit Phi Phi again!

Exceptional”
this hotel is amazing, it's at the quieter part of the island and seems to have the prettiest beaches compared to the other hotels we saw on the way to ours. we spent every evening at the the sunset pool watching amazing sunsets. our room was good but there was a bit of a building site going on to the back of our room which you couldnt see from the balcony (as that was at the front of our room) and building work started at about 8am which is fine. Our room was near the sunset pool and restaurant which was handy for breakfast and very quiet. there were bungalows which we nearer to the other pools and restaurants and the beach so just depends where you prefer to be. the grounds of the hotel are beautiful. you must go to chilli and pepper which is right at the end of the beach; it's a treehouse restaurant run by a lovely family and the food is probably the best in phi phi don!

Quite and peaceful place, good beach, far away from city Life”
We visited there in Monsoon season, but the beach was quite, unlike the most beaches in the Phi phi island. We were lucky selecting east coast. Rooms feels a bit old, but the view and access to beach was great. It is on an isolated part of the island. I think hotel should have a free shuttle to Tonsai pier. We asked whether the food is halal and they said everything is halal. When we entered the restaurant they were serving pork. I thought they meant everything besides pork is halal, but they were using the same grill for pork and other meats in BBQ. Even if they are using halal meat, they should be careful informing the customers. Another thing I find strange is that they didn't allow my 3-year old daughter to 0.5m pool besides the infinity pool. I think they don't want adults using the pool to be disturbed, but it's nonsense. The family pool that children can use was far away from our room (it is between reception and the restaurant), which doesn't look clean.

Resort on the paradise island”
Holiday Inn Resort is located at the north end of Phi Phi island and only can be accessed from Tonsai Pier by long tail boats (or speed boats). It's better to ask the resort who can arrange the pick-up from airport or any other hotels from Phuket with a reasonable price. It's hassle free and the staffs would take care of the baggage. Check with the resort staffs for ferry details and relevant charges. Once the guests arrive, they were escorted to the restaurant for check-in formalities (the reception area is relatively small to accommodate the inflow of all guests). However since we had opted for the morning ferry which arrives at 11:30 AM, we were asked to wait till 02:00 PM for the check-in. This is rather inconvenient for families travelling with babies to wait after the long ferry ride from Phuket. There's a kids room and a small pool in-front of the reception to spend the uncomfortable waiting time. The rooms are quite basic and small with a bedroom and bathroom only. The facilities are minimal too. But the tranquil serenity of the greeneries around and the amazing beach right at the door-steps make them up. The beach is absolutely marvelous and quiet (compared to the other part of Phi Phi island). Walk a few steps to the other side of the hills and we can find the west coast of Phi Phi with a bar at the hilltop. The major downside of the resort is the restaurant which is pretty ordinary with a handful of choices. I wouldn't recommend the restaurant although the other food joints are almost the same. There's plenty room of improvement in this area and hopefully the management would put more thoughts into it. Staffs are rather pleasing and serve with a smile. Language is obviously not an issue at all (as compared to some other hotels) and issues were addressed in timely fashion. Take a long tail boat or speed boat to Maya Bay or Bamboo island or for snorkeling/diving as it's the ideal place for deep sea activities.

A paradise place”
Ko phi phi is a paradise and all you need is to place your face under a water with a mask and ypu will see thousands lcoloured fishes. The resort is beatiful well mantained and just close to the beach. If you can affor go for a beach or sea view room, are you there for the sea, aren't you? The hotel is four stars, at the price of five, but I think that is ko phi phi offert. If you forget what you paid in Thai comparison, ypu will be very happy to stay at Holiday Inn. Female staff seems to be more gentle than male one. Sometime staff is not so friendly, not al of them. Ok we are makink the same questions you heard every week? That's your job. Breakfast buffet was very good, snorkeling set and towel for free, two pools, two restaurant and a sunset bar. A good place, but at this price I expect something more than good.
