Balanced in the center of Tumon Bay, this 251-room beachfront hotel typifies a casual yet elegant European lobby. From your balcony, you can admire one of the only white sand beaches on Guam’s coastline. Beautiful Tumon Bay is always lively with rowing carnivals and beach volleyball games, although you may just want to enjoy the sand and top up your tan for a day. Kids will love the pool or maybe a visit to Tarza Magical Water Park just a short drive away. At the end of the day, rest in the vast, four-post beds and large comfy pillows. Refreshed in the morning, you will notice the scale of the windows that let the light fill the substantial breakfast room. Dressed in a tasteful yet reserved decor, this hotel has been upgraded to suit travelers who want to savor their hotel experience.

Great Stay”
I will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Guam. It is only a few blocks from all the major sights on the Tumon strip. The rooms are nice and large with in-room internet. The only down fall is that you have to pay for the internet service when it should be free. Some of the lesser rated hotels in Guam offer free internet. The hotel has a couple of nice restaurants located inside just outside the lobby which offer a wide variety of local and American food. The best part of my stay was the fact that I did not have to leave the hotel to get a rental car. All I had to do was go to the first floor and make my reservations. I will stay at the Holiday Resort again on my next visit to Guam.
Right in the middle of the action”
Holiday Resort & Spa is located in the middle where action is. It is of walking distance to Tumon Sands, Tumon Plaza and DFS. But a bit far from Guam Premier Outlet and KMart but has a Tumon Red trolley stop within walking distance should you commute. A tip for large groups though, it would come out cheaper if you rent a car/van than commuting and paying so much per head. Beach, beach was clean and is public. Hence, expect locals to be there with you. It didn't get filled when we were there, so it looked exclusive. There are sheds you can use for picnic. Like all other reviews, they only provide water on the first day, so don't expect a refill the succeeding days. The rooms are big. We got a partial ocean view with two double beds.
Great Location with beach access”
Pros: Located only 5 minutes away from the main strip of Tumon Bay. A wide selection of places for entertainment, food, and tours. Private access to public beach. Great views of the beach, Two Lovers, Tumon Bay, and the city. Cons: 2 of 3 working elevators, luke warm showers, over priced onsite convenience store, hotel itself was old, internet was slow a random times. This hotel was perfect for me while I was staying in Guam.
Good deal great buffet”
I got a good deal on the Holiday Suite. It was enjoyable. I thought the lunch buffet was delicious and good value for $18.50. I actually left with a full belly and the food was good. Although the hotel is close to the beach it is not right on the beach. There is a building in front of it. However it is a short walk to the beach. The pool is high up on the 7th? floor or so. There is a small bar there also. The pool is not that fancy but there are chairs to lay out. Overall a pretty good hotel to stay at. Yes the hotel is dated. But good value for Guam hotels.. Would definitely stay again. I thought the staff was absolutely excellent and helpful. All of them!!
Fine hotel with two improvements needed”
Staff was very helpful and nice. The hotel was within walking distance to DFS and K-mart, and guests can walk about 7 minutes to Pacific Star Resort if they want to take the free shuttle bus to Guam Premium Outlets. The free shuttle from DFS also stops at the hotel's door. During our stay, only 1 guest elevator was running and it was not obvious that guests could use the nearby service elevator. The biggest improvement needed is that the hotel should provide drinking water to guests by installing water dispenser with a filter that could soften the extremely hard water in Guam in at least one place in the hotel. Although guests could get drinking water from the restaurant in the lobby, the water tastes funny because of the rich mineral content, compared to the water they provide in the California Pizza Kitchen. I reckon this is not an outrageous request because it is ironic for us to be buying bottled water for the length of our stay when there is a sign that says "Please help to save our Earth, request new linen only when you need" on our beds.
Very good stay!”
Holiday Resort & Spa is only 15 minutes away from the airport. We easily got a taxi to take us to the hotel. Rooms are clean and big! My daughter left her toy and when I e-mailed them about it, they notified me right away that their Housekeeping staff was able to find it and the were willing to ship it to me. Most of the staff were Filipino and they were all very helpful and friendly. It was our first time in Guam and we had a wonderful time!
Holiday Resort & Spa”
Holiday Resort & Spa is not the fanciest on Guam's Hotel Row, but it was more than decent, and we had a lovely stay there! It is not a new building, so it lacks some of the sparkliness that some people like when they travel and stay in hotels, but it is clean and well managed. There happened to be some new staff members that were still in training on the days that we were there, but they gave it their best and were very friendly and accommodating, just as all the other hotel employees there were. It is a few steps from the beach, so that was very convenient when sunning during the day and coming in and out of the hotel. The hotel pool is only decent (not the best), but it's more than fine if you just want a quick dip to cool off or if you just want a break from the beach that day.
great location, great food, great room”
We stayed in 3 hotels during 10 days in Guam. This one is the best of all. And the price compares to the cheapest hotel in Guam is only $10 different per night. But the room, bathroom and balcony are big and clean. The hotel is next to the beach. We had breakfast in the restaurant is good (buffet for $12). There's a bus goes to every hotel, so the bus also stops here. But when we want to go to other malls or K-mart to get water, we had to take a bus to DFS(10 mins on bus) and then take a bus from DFS. There is a water boiler and they also offer tea bags and coffee bags. The beds are comfortable.
Probably the best price/quality ratio in Tumon”
If you're not looking after design, boutique or newest fashion hotel but want usefull accomodation in top location, this is the right place - for lower budget excellent choice. Great stuff, older building with spacious rooms. Expect noisy party nights THU-SAT but excellent views over Tumon Bay. The breakfast is slightly overpriced. Hotel offers free garage / valet parking.
Holiday Resort - A hotel to reckon with”
The strategic location of the Holiday Resort is it foremost selling point. It is very accessible to places a visitor/tourist looks for. Its facilities make one's stay wholesome, memorable and enjoyable. Although, the hotel staff have lapses they are nevertheless courteous and approachable. If I will have the chance to visit Guam again, staying in Holiday Resort and Spa will not be an option but a choice.
Value for money”
The room is much larger than I expected, and yet very clean. The sea view of Tumon is wonderful. You wake up with a view of the beautiful Tumon beach every morning. It was enjoyable. There is a bus stop just outside the hotel and some good restaurants are within walking distance. Staff is helpful in many occasions. The only bad thing is that I can hear noises and conversations in the room next to us because our room is a connecting room with next door. But for this price and service I wouldn't expect more. Overall, it was a very plesant stay and I've recommended my friends to stay in this hotel too.
So nice and kind people”
I'm a south Korean. Holiday hotel is clean and kind people. It's close to W club and its backside is sea. If you wanna cheap price, I recommend you choose this hotel. But it's not close to downtown. You hope to get to downtown you have to take shuttle bus or walk for 10~15mins. As you know, Guam is really sunny and hot island. So it's too hard to walk in daytime.
great location and helpful staff with a smile”
Holiday resort in guam is good but I disliked their early check-in policy of 9am, If it’s a 6am early check-in it would be nice and perfect. Hotel staffs are helpful and friendly specially Edwin that exerted his best effort to help me look for my carry-on bag that I left in the ladies room door hanger INSIDE the AIRPORT before getting out of custom check..i immediately get back to the airport butthey did not let me get in and according to PAL lady supervisor(?)who only ask someone to check it that it’s no longer in the place where I left it,and the guam airport police said that there's no left items submitted in their lost and found office. Holiday resort location is not bad, there’s a bus stop in front of the hotel and you can try the 24 hrs ramen restaurant nearby, the food is not bad with cheaper price compared to fast foods
Best Location at Reasonable Price”
I only booked the hotel with out meals . I was not expecting anything since all reviews I read were negative and I was about to change hotel because I was worried that The hotel Is really terrible. To My big surprise, the hotel is accessible to Lam Lam bus and Lea Lea and just walking distance to shopping areas and the sandcastle which is a must see when visiting Guam. I paid $25 for 5 days, that is unlimited bus access and you Will see and access most of the places. We had two lovers point and Chamorro activities for extra $10 and $7. At the back of the hotel is Free access to the very good Beach . Stay was really good, view is very calm. Love to Come back and stay in the same hotel. Dont expect any coffee . Just towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner, slippers and toothbrush. You Will have 2 bottles of Free drinking water everyday.
Great hotel”
each time i come to guam, i have booked this hotel. the rooms are pretty nice, the staff extremely helpful and the hotel restaurants amazingly good. the hotel is right in the middle of everything. they have their own private beach for the guests and the spa is just awesome. i went twice in one day
Got my money's worth”
pros- superb location, relatively cheap price compared to its nextdoor neighbor Fiesta Resort, 2-minute walk to the beach, plenty of restaurants within the vicinity, police station beside the hotel, bus stop for red guahan shuttle is literally just outside the hotel, very helpful receptionists, friendly taxi drivers, room service/cleaning daily, clean towels, cold aircon, mini fridge that kept our beers cold, safety deposit box, nice view- we got the king ocean view room located at the 11th floor, free shuttle to/from DFS Galleria, hot and cold water in the faucet and shower, big spacious room, 10-15min of leisure walk to tumon sands plaza, DFS and JR Superstore. cons- only petty things that didnt really bother us considering the amount of money we saved. 2 out of 3 elevators working, 11th floor button on one of the elevators doesnt work, while the lower level button of the other is busted, elevator buttons were taped using scotch tape, provided water only on the first day, gave only one small soap but we didnt mind since we brought our own toiletries, shower head is broken, no bidet, carpet looked dirty with visible stains on some parts, overall the hotel looks worn out that desperately needs renovation.
Great Hotel”
If I had the chance, I’ll choose this hotel again. Compared with the other hotels near Guam Resort, this hotel is affordable and pretty much offers the same thing as every other hotel. Room was big and clean, and offers a great view of the beach. This hotel is also one of the stops for all of those tourist trams/trains.
"Value for your money" hotel”
it's my first time in guam, and staying in holiday resort added to the over-all great experience i had. hotel personnel are so helpful, food in restaurants inside the hotel are excellent and fairly priced. i will still consider staying in this hotel in my next visit to guam, hopefully on december 2011.
Exceptional”
The hotel is good for the price. But in Guam there isn’t many nice hotels to stay so we went for something simple, we feel in love with the hotels Spa so this made the stay 100% more better than it actually was!
Large rooms and cleans sheets”
I have read the other reviews and I have to say that you get what you pay for. got a very large room with two twin beds. The beds are not great (a bit flimsy), but the sheets are clean. The room is rather large without much furniture. You get a flat panel t.v. and a balcony. It was more than adequate for a 2 night stay. For people traveling on the overnight Continental flights that come in at 5:40 A.M., they allow early check in at 6:00 a.m. for an additional $50, but you need to call them in advance to reserve the room. The location is on the main drag of Tumon bay and you can catch the trolley bus right outside. Be aware that they charge $0.75 for a local call, so if you can use your own cell phone. The washroom is a standard washroom, no frills on amenities.
