Location wise Its Good But less managed”
The place is very neat and tidy and location is also very good which is very near to Auroville Beach. The caretaker was not aware of our booking through agoda and asked us wheather we have two day booking or one day. The Staff is good and friendly.The Airtel networks are not there at all at the property which was shocking for me. Rest the place is very good but it needs more management and the booking details should be properly notified in advance to the owner to make check in hassle free

Horrible Location for the money you pay. NO SERVICE AT ALL. Most disappointing even if agoda confirms your booking with booking ID, the same is not communicated to the property owner. When you are about to check-in owner might cancel or he will suggest he might accommodate in some other place. You are died if you do not have your own private vehicle to Pondicherry. This is in TAMIL NADU & not in PONDICHERRY. You would struggle for Food with the options you have in the area & forget about alcohol. There are bar & restaurant in this area & food is horrible in any normal restaurant around this location. Any known restaurant like A2B, Sarvana Bhavan, Anjappar etc.. is about 8 to 10 Km from this location. None of these delivery food to this location. I would to suggest this location for the family with kids & without own vehicle. Don't think of hiring two wheeler for commuting from this location, as it would be more expensive. Also after dark there not light at all with lots of dogs.

If you want to spend a few days surrounded by nature yet want to have all comforts of home, then this is the ideal place for you. My wife and I stayed here for 4 days around the new year. The room was awesome. It had AC, attached bathroom with a bathtub. Common area had TV, internet. Kitchen (shared) had all modern amenities. A maid would come and prepare fresh breakfast every morning. Lunch and dinner can be done at nearby Mango Hill hotel which is walkable. Just as a bit of advice, one must have a vehicle to roam around as the area is secluded and nights are pitch dark due to absence of any street light in Auroville road. But it is meant to be like that as I think that is what Auroville's essence is. Coming to agoda's service - it can do bit better by publishing name of the property as "Badrinath" in the address in their website. I had to struggle little bit initially to pinpoint it in google map. That was sorted out anyway. Overall I am extremely overjoyed with the experience.

Never go for home stay Auroville”
There’s nothing called home stay Auroville. When we arrived we were given rooms in an under construction building. The host didn’t had a clue about our booking. We were told to take the refund and search for another hotel. As we didn’t had any option we had to take room in that under construction building. Not a good experience.

The stay with Badrinath was an absolute pleasure. He took great care of us and the other guests and was very helpful throughout. He provided bikes and we had the choice between Indian or rather continental breakfast. All in all a very nice and positive experience.

Séjour reposant au Homestay Auroville”
Très bon séjour globalement. Seul hic, hotel assez éloignée des commodités, impossible sans transport, heureusement il est possible de louer dès scooter pas tres loin. Le petit dejeuner typique du Sud de l'Inde était très bon. Les chambres sont grandes, propres et modernes avec balcon. L'hôtel était encore un peu en travaux mais il promet d'être un très bon établissement !
