Location +++, Value +++, Facility +++ Very Happy with my stay”
I stayed in room 601 to be close to a course I was doing at the CBD college. It is also close to the Newcastle University CBD facility and the Civic Theatre. The light rail also has a stop at the Civic which is very close, so exploring Newcastle and the beaches is convent via the light rail system. The apartment was very comfortable, spacious and clean. It was equipped with a kitchenette. I was very impressed with the layout and design. The views were stunning. I will definitely be back.

Modern, Clean and Great location.”
POSITIVE: Our stay was lovely, the room was spacious with enough seating and bedding, we were all very comfortable. NEGATIVE: The app to open the front foyer door didn't work, we had to ring reception after hours. Useful information: We pre booked parking in the underground parking area for and extra $20 per night, per vehicle, there is however, a public carpark diagonally across from the apartments, this also has a cost, but was unsure how much.

Top Spot and great staff”
Such a handy location with the city at your doorstep, and riverside for strolling and dining. The room was oversized, great outlook, with everything you might need, so super comfy. Loved the pool - so chilled out. The staff were great - I'm a ludite with apps so really appreciated Harry at reception providing security codes. To be honest the number of text messages and codes got to us a bit.

Great for a family”
Big rooms, lots of space, great views and location was perfect to use light rail and for the kids to go straight out the door with their scooters to explore. Lots of linen supplied and kitchen well stocked with utensils to prepare meals. Loads of restaurants and cafes in walking distance too. We will definitely stay again.

Two couples spent the weekend here. Small but comfortable and clean. Good location surrounded by cafes and bars. Close to the water front and beaches.

Beautiful place to stay”
Lovely service and staff very helpful, room was lovely.. there was even Netflix and google play buttons on the tv remote ready to connect straight to phone which was fantastic for me to put something on for my 4 year old daughter

Fantastic Location ”
Upon arrival, it was confusing to find the door to enter the building as their is no visible signage, only a sign that said Chifley, which was infact the Executive Apartments. It was the first time I have used keyless entry via a phone app, and I wasn't really a fan of this to be honest. The apartments are situated in a fantastic location with only a short stroll to local venues. Being on level 6, the view overlooking the city and the harbour was certainly beautiful. The 2 bedroom apartment was a great size and included all amenities required for a homely stay. There were alot of scuff marks on the walls, but overall the cleanliness of the place was up to scratch. Personally I found the bed to be quite comfortable, but I was a bit disappointed to find that the bed in the master room was not a Double/Queen bed, but 2 single beds joined together. Overall, I would stay here again for a overnight or weekend stay.

Great Value for Money”
We booked last minute on AGODA on our way through to VIC & for $128 the apartment was great value based on location and a neat clean room. We had room 209 a 1 Bedroom with a Sofa Bed. The room was clean and nothing like some of the pics on other negative reviews regarding cleanliness as always rooms vary. Check In was seamless we picked up our keys from the Chifley reception and parked in the onsite parking $20 to use the secure carpark. If its a quick overnighter you are looking for I recommend it.

A little tricky with the contactless check in process. Tidy apartment with lots of space. Only complaint would be the oven was filled with peoples leftover fats from cooking and the shower head was broken. Didn’t use the pool since it was non stop raining. Even with that being said I would definitely stay again

Getting the keys”
Upon arriving the front entrance was locked and there was no one at reception (reception was unoccupied for our entire stay). We received no information regarding the collection of the keys and assumed there would be a working reception. Upon calling the hotel group, they explained over the phone that you need to collect the building key from your room letter box. You will then receive a text message containing the letter box security code to access your key and room access code. After receiving the keys the process was straight forward, it was just a hassle to call the hotel group as we were unsure if we needed to collect the keys from a different office location or if we missed reception business hours. It would be a lot better if this information was given to us before arrival So we could have been prepared and not freaked out

Stayed many times. A few irritations this time. Dishwasher flooded kitchen floor. Shower (no screen or curtain) wet the bathroom floor in a big way - recently renovated, no grab rails, tiles are slippery when wet. No mop provided although Chifley reception obliged with extra towels. Very limited kitchen utensils, eg no cutting board, no microwave cooking ware, no serving bowls or platters. No storage containers or measuring jug. We like the closeness to the city and harbour foreshore, and as we stay here in order to spend time with family and friends around the district it is convenient.
