"I had a very pleasant stay and I would recommend this hotel. The rooms are very clean and very nice but of course small like most hotels in Hong Kong but this does not matter. Staff were excellent and the level of service was 5 star. I would happily stay there again and good value for money. "

"my husband and i enjoyed our week-long stay at l'hotel island south. despite the hotel's out-of-the-way location, the shuttle bus was a great service, and the bus stops right outside the hotel were very helpful too. (it does help, though, to have a working knowledge of hong kong geography and the local bus system.) we also loved the room - very spacious by hong kong standards, with a great rain shower free of the hot-cold dilemma that plagues other places in hong kong we've stayed in. the best feature was probably the bed - spectacularly big, even for my six foot two husband - and very comfortable. we also found the ipod dock a great feature. the only disappointment was the lobby, with its two chairs, seating exactly two people - a very poor waiting area at best. when my husband took some work from the office down to the bar area immediately behind the lobby, he was told he'd be charged if he wanted to sit there. the reason? to "protect guests' privacy." very odd; he was the only guest there. we found this mean-spirited policy totally out of keeping with an otherwise very pleasant stay."

"When we arrived. There was a long queue and room has uet to be ready. But we truly understand cause it is not check in time at that moment. Guys from drop off to bell, tiffany who organize the queue, the young man who check us in (Sorry don’t remember his name) to Vivian i guess she is the supervisor and the room attendant on our floor are all courtous and very oositive vibes. I know it is summer time and rooms are full. However, i’m surprised that all of the above mentioned guys could still smile even though they are really tierd. Not all hotels in Hong Kong can do that specially like this resort hotel. We tried the Pier lounge for lunch food is average cause theres no Wow factor. But the guys on the floor are attentive. Next day, we went to Marina kitchen for breakfast. My son really likes the noodles and congee. As i said it is summer time, restaurant might be busy better choose a right time slot for breakfast. Overall we are so happy to with our stay. Specially the frontline staffs"

"Prices for hotel rooms can be astronomical and as I decided only rather late about my hotel stay there wasn't much choice in the less than 100 dollar. In the end I opted for Caritas Oswald and I am very happy with my choice. The hotel is located in the South of Hong Kong island (Aberdeen) and though maybe not the most touristy of all area's it means it is also quieter but it still has excellent public transport options with dozens of buses going everywhere and frequently. The hotel made a very easy overview of all the buses and this came very handy. There is even a direct bus from less than 50m from the hotel door to the airport for as little as 45 HKD. Also, I arrived on a really early flight and check in was no issue at all. I would definitly book again in this hotel if I am looking in the same price category"

"Ovolo Southside is located in Hong Kong island, one stop from Ocean Park. It is 20 mins ride to Stanley market and there is also a direct bus to Victoria Peak on weekends. The lobby was our daily meeting place as we enjoy the free coffee. The is also a nice pool table if you just wanna laze around. The staff are young and very friendly. Thanks for the smiles and welcome daily."
