Cozy hotel in historic setting”
Nicely located at a quiet end of busy historic Hongcun, this boutique hotel is furnished with taste and detail. Individually decorated rooms with a center courtyard and beautiful garden make for a pleasant stay. Iris, the owner will make every guest feel welcome and at home.

Above average”
The lady boss met us at the entrance on the first day, she was friendly and provided us tips on how to explore the surroundings area. We were happy with the service then, but it went downhill from second day onwards. We found out the lady boss left on a trip and only the assistant was around to help us. He too left the next day. We end up having no one to go to for help and have to take care of our own luggages. Luckily our driver agreed to help us. This unexpected situation created a lot of anxiety in our 3 days stayed in this property. The management has to do more to provide better service rather than leaving guests unattended. We stayed in the Triple room, which is really small and dark for 3 people.

Great Host and Beautiful Hotel”
Probably the best hotel to stay when at Hongcun. Additionally, for foreigners and people that don't speak mandarin this is the hotel to go (ie look no further), the host knows very good English and is more than helpful. She ordered me an "uber" and suggested places I should visit later on. I think you'll find her very useful and a great person to have a conversation with.

Won't choose it again”
It's a 400 years old house but they didn't do a great job rennovating it: the deco is with both poor taste and quality. Lots of mould on the wall... There are many better options in that area at much lower price

A nice hotel”
Aunthentic design, quiet surrounding, friendly staff
The hotel is a very old building, about 600 years old, so you will find that it is quite charming in a way. The room we have is pretty decent. I do have problem with the internet, perhaps it is the Wi-Fi setting on my laptop. The hostess is friendly. It is a good place to stay in Hongcun.

Peaceful, historical, well furnished, superb staff”
Staff, historical value, atmosphere
This was without a doubt the best hotel experience I had in china. The building itself is a 500-year-old Ming Dynasty garden home--you feel like you're staying in a piece of history. But the accommodations are comfortably modern, clean, and new. Most importantly, there's free and fast wifi. The inn keeper speaks good English, and she and her two staff were incredibly attentive and helpful. The beds were a bit hard, but that's par for the course in China. My friend got bad food poisoning (not from the hotel food) and had to be hospitalized. The innkeeper's husband was nice enough to drive us to the hospital, and a fellow guest/friend of the innkeeper helped us through the admitting process. I can't thank them enough for their help. A great experience all around. Highly recommended.
