Perfect”
The staff, the location and the food.
Beautiful accommodation set in a stunning coconut plantation. We booked in for our last three nights and I'm so glad we did! The rooms are large, with comfy beds, great showers and a fridge. The pool is fab and we mostly had it to ourselves due to the fact there are only five rooms. The staff are AMAZING (especially Chameth) and the service in on par with a five .We booked because of the location - 25 minutes by Tuk Tuk to the airport and 20 minutes from Negombo. We went into Negombo for dinner one night and it made us glad we weren't staying there - too busy and touristy for us. The Tuk Tuk charges are reasonable - R500 (about £2.50) to the local village so you can stock upon snacks/beer, R2000 (about £10 to the airport) and R2500 (about £12.50) for to go to Negombo and back. The food is fantastic. If you want rice and curry it is cooked by one of four families in the village and picked up by a member of staff. It was delicious and very reasonable for R1500 each for a MASSIVE meal that benefits the local area. You can also order chicken fried rice , a BBQ or small snacks for lunch. The owner Buddy is a lovely, funny guy and clearly cares about helping others. Sitting eating breakfast at this beautiful place whilst watching the wildlife around us was one of my most perfect moments in Sri Lanka. Watch out for the naughty woodpecker who likes to knock on the windows! I cannot recommend this place enough. An absolute pleasure and privilege. We will be back!

Wonderful Boutique hotel in the jungle”
Peaceful, beautiful, wonderful staff
Perfect for a chilled stay before flying out of Colombo. We much preferred this to our city stay. Definitely more suited to travellers wanting somewhere to chill. Has the feel of a small estate in the jungle. Loved the endless food, pool table, beautiful setting and a night swim watching bats and fireflies - such warm water. Also an amazing amount of bird life - we saw a wood pecker!

Tranquil Beauty of a Private Agricultural Estate”
Private Estate Feeling; Solitude; Food
This estate is just lovely. It is a private working (farm) estate, and was a supremely peaceful place to spend my last evening in Sri Lanka. The owner's family live in Colombo, but were having a birthday celebration the day I arrived. They included me and were most gracious and kind. The food was outstanding, and I am certain that even at a more usual time, much attention would be paid to the food. The pool was also quite nice for relaxing in. Riza, the owner's brother, showed me around the estate, and I was able to see cinnamon, pepper, orchids, plants for export, manioc, pineapple, rambutan, and many other crops growing in a most organic way, and to learn about the challenges of running such an estate. The Estate is off the beaten path, and I would recommend it for peace and quiet. The family visits regularly and their attention to detail is evident. They arranged for a very early morning airport transfer for me, and were gracious in every way. It felt like 'real' Sri Lanka at a luxury level, not a hotel. I felt I was a treasured guest behind gates that one normally would not be able to venture. They are able to provide sound advice about transport around Sri Lanka and I wish I'd met the team at the beginning of my trip and then again at the end.
