The unit from hell”

The property was nice. And maintained very well.
The unit we stayed in 701. Has the potential to be really nice. The owner needs to go in and take care if some things asap. There's roaches,I killed 4 myself and seen many more. The shower liner was ripped and dirty. The master bedroom bathroom sinks won't drain water. We couldn't figure out how to work the living room tv until Saturday morning. No tv stations would play. So we had to use our Netflix account for tv. The patio furniture needs to be repainted. Because there's rust spots especially on the chairs. I spent close to $2000. And I feel that I got ripped off. I never had a trip and stayed at a place that had so many issues before.

The place was Awesome. The view was gorgeous and the place was very nicely decorated! I thought it was a great value.
The only drawback is the place has a significant roach problem. This could be remedied with regular treatments from an exterminator.

The rental company was amazing but the owner of the unit was a pain!! literally the balcony door had to remain closed and if the door was open for longer than one minute the owner would call and complain to the rental company!! sensors on the doors!!

Great Horizon at 77th Stay”

Horizon at 77th is located in a wonderful neighborhood in Myrtle Beach. Very quiet and steps away from the beach. The resort is very clean and well maintained. The room provides a comfortable setting with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The balcony looks out over the pool and the beach/ocean.
Our only negative was that during days that it rained there were too many people in the pools.

Extremely Disappointing!”

Short walk to the beach. The view of the ocean was good. The air conditioner worked well, water pressure good, great sun deck. Good location. Nice pools. Close to restaurants. Weather was great!
This is by far the worst rental we have ever stayed at! The place was run down, dirty not comparable to photos advertised. Chunks missing in walls, freezer severely dented, mold in showers and on balcony, rusty furniture on balcony, filthy walls with scrapes, marks and grime. Check out the photos. A stranger entered the condo during our stay. They are probably showing it to get rid of it so this review will probably not matter. I booked late probably 10 weeks out and overpaid. I paid 2,355 for 4 days. I would love a refund!!!! I question the stability of balcony above. After the rain had stopped, buckets of water came pouring right thru the ceiling of the balcony like it was saturated and could hold no more water. The light is the shower was falling down, many light fixtures had missing bulbs. The carpeting (wood floors were advertised) was filthy and stretched out. The hair made a grinding noise, turned red inside, started smoking and then broke. Speaking of smoke the smoke alarm had a missing battery. We had some friends staying with us and it was embarrassing! I was going to call and complain but we had only three days on the beach and I didn't want to waist a day to pack everything up and move locations.

Wouldn't book again”

Near by close attractions. Could see a good view of the sunrise.
Condo was not cleaned at all once we recieved it (Toilets, bed sheets, towels, microwave, pots & pans, etc). Jacuzzi didn't work, twin bedroom lamp didn't work alot of light fixtures light bulbs were out. Had trouble with the door not locking at all. Anyone could easily get in. Management would never answer there phone had to leave a voicemail all the time. They never did anything about what was going on. Wifi didn't work at all!

That I rented from palmetto vacations. Their rooms are disgusting. Upon arrival of our first unit that was filled with roaches they sent us on a search for a clean room.

Nice views and close proximity to the beach.”

We loved the proximity to the beach and the views from the balcony were beautiful. The condo was spacious and had plenty of room for our family of seven.
The furnishings are worn, definitely needs an update. The mattress in the master bedroom needs to be replaced as it sinks in the middle. My husband and I definitely woke up a little sore from it daily. There were two times that the fire alarms went off and we had to climb down 8 flights of stairs, once at 1 am when we were asleep. We were let back in both times within an hour but there wasn’t any communication as to what happened. A memo to the guests would have been sufficient.

Wonderful”

Loved how close it was to the ocean.. what a view!! It was near everything we needed (restaurants, stores and family) & being on an upper floor, we had great breezes when out on the balcony! The condo was nicely furnished without being too fancy... We all had our own rooms so that was nice and the kitchen had all the amenities we needed! The workers (staff) were all very friendly and wore face masks and protective gloves. We felt safe & secure.
The only negative was the hard mattress in the king bedroom. The sheets were a little scratchy (as were the towels) but I bought some linens at a nearby store. The lazy river pool wasn’t open but that was understandable because of CoVid restrictions. The small outdoor pool was available but probably had more guests in it at a time than was advisable.
