Except for struggling a little to carry my luggage upstairs to 3rd floor where the hostel was, everything else was excellent for me. Rooms and facilities were very clean. Dorm bed was wide and big with curtains, very clean and comfortable too. There was a rooftop area to dry laundry. There was also a big nice common room with sofas to relax and to socialize with other guests. Breakfast was just bread and jam but it was a bonus to me as all other hostels I stayed during this trip in Kyushu didn't come with breakfast. The staff I met during my three nights' stay here were very friendly and helpful. Thank you for making my Nagasaki trip here so comfortable and memorable. Especially to Misaki san, I am very grateful and thankful to her for helping to send back to me my pouch with watch and keys which I discovered after leaving Nagasaki that I lost them in the hostel.
Couple blocks from train station.”
I liked this location. It is not exactly where the action is, but I liked that it was close to the train station and a trolley stop was even closer. The staff were great. The bunks comfy. Laundry on the roof was rad! No nonsense hostel, would go again. Love Nagasaki!!!
Spacious room, comfortable bunk bed. the problem is the hostel located at 3rd to 5th floor of a building, and I have to carry my heavy luggage by stairs. if only they have elevator. the lounge very nice, great wifi, you can use the utensil in the kitchen freely.
Cute, well placed and nice staff”
Had an easy time getting to the hostel from the bus station and the attractions from there. The reception hostess was sweet and helped me a lot. I got a discount card for many of the atteactions for staying there as well! The rooms are well organized and clean, private cubbies and locks, cafe/tea in the kitchen...overall would definitely stay again!
Five-storey building with no lift”
Booked a private ensuite room. Towels have to be rented at 100 yen each. Be prepared to carry your luggages to the 5th floor if you book a private room. Helpful staff who can speak English. Private room have a nice view of the harbour. Can walk to Chinatown and Nagasaki station. Parking at the back at 1000 yen for 24 hrs. The bigger parking area at higher cost.
Great location, Great atmosphere, Friendly staff who speaks English”
pros -- The location of this hostel is no more than 5 minutes south of Nagasaki station, and even closer to the nearest tram station. It is also very close to the Nagasaki Port terminal if traveling to nearby islands. The dorm rooms have futon style beds with individual curtains, lamp, chargers, and safety deposit box, so you can feel relatively safe with your belongings. The common lounge area is set-up in a way that you will have to talk to other travelers, so during my one-night stay, I met some great people, both overseas and domestic travelers. The Japanese staff also speak good enough English, and are pretty helpful. Cons -- The only con is that there is only 1 shower per dorm room (in a room of up to 10 people). So if it's packed, you'll be waiting a while to take a shower. Overall, it's a great hostel with a nice vibe. They also provide free coffee, tea, bread and jam for breakfast.
Casa Noda is right beside the tram station that can take you to all the sites around Nagasaki. We throughly enjoyed our stay and the free toast coffee and tea. Staff is super friendly and toilets were clean. Would recommend!
Value for money. Location Perfect ”
Thank you Casa Nodo for making my Nagasaki Tour memorable! I hope to stay there soon!
Good location, very near the main station. Got a discount card for many main attractions. Recommended!
Smaller friendlier hostel :-)”
Last year I stayed at it's sister hostel Casablanca. They are both very good. The washroom facilities at Casablanca are slightly better, but Casa Noda is fine. Casa Noda is also very close to Nagasaki train station. so if you arrive that way, it is only a 9 minute walk max without having to cross the major street. Even closer to the hostel is a trolly stop. Taking the trolly is pretty inexpensive and can take you to most tourist places. I love that there are a pair of washing machines on the roof and a big clothes rack. Handy when you need to catch up on washing before hitting the road again. Just hope it doesn't rain ;-) The staff were super nice when I visited and their english was great. pro tip for Nagasaki! There is a Japanese BBQ Joint across the parking lot from Yamada-Denki that has all you can eat bbq from 11am to 5pm for 999 yen. It has large signs so you can't miss it.
I stayed in the male dorm and loved the place. What's good is that there was free simple breakfast and the staff was accommodating. The only downside was that there were only one shower room and toilet that I had to wait for several persons to finish their job in the morning that I was always late in my itinerary during my stay. You get what you pay for in Casa Noda.
Good hostel close to Nagasaki Station”
As you could expect from its rating, the hostel is a good place to stay. The room is ok, got a free breakfast, free drinks, and staffs are helpful (especially one staff who was in morning shift - forgot to ask her name). If it's priced as the cheapest in Nagasaki by the time you sort/filter, then just take it!
Very strategic location and very recommended!”
The location of this Hotel(hostel) is very convenient. Easy to go to all Nagasaki's Point of interests. The negative side of it though, is that this hotel has so many staircases, and it's quite tiring for us when we're done with the sightseeing and still have to climb five stories up to our twin room. Otherwise, we got very nice sea view, and got ourself a very good sleep and good time in Nagasaki as well. Very recommended. We didn't take the breakfast though, so i just gave it 3.
The hotel is very easy to find. It is near the station that even though I'm not used to the transportation system, it's very to access the hotel. There are a very nice friendly atmosphere in the hotel. I met many people from around the world.
Nice hostel with comfortable and clean room.”
One of the best hostel I have ever lodged. Staffs were friendly and speak good English. It is very close to tram station and convenient store. Room was clean and has a lot of sockets. Shower was great and toilet was perfect. I had a very comfortable stay!
Amazing value for money”
Rather than staying in the dorm, we stayed in the private room. The room was actually better than the other hotel rooms that we stayed in during that trip-- and cheaper too. Everything was clean, and well decorated, like an Ikea model bedroom. Highly recommended.
A very warm and friendly hostel”
This was my very first hostel experience, and honestly, I did not know what to expect. Surprisingly, the staff and guests were really very friendly, they even gave me a special tourist pass. There were 10 of us in the room, but I still had a comfortable and uneventful sleep. But the best part, I think, was the owner (who i did not recognize until much later) with his very bubbly personality, mingling with guests and all. I would definitely stay at Casa Noda again when I visit the city.
Best hostel owner ever!”
I was just staying there for a night for I feel the hostel owner is really friendly! He even treats us some Japanese snacks for free, which make you embarassed if you turn him down! Also, the location of the hostel is too good that even when you get back at late night you can easily find your way back.
I stayed in Hostel Casa Noda Nagasaki for one night. Its location is perfect as it is close to a streetcar station and is just around 5 minutes away from Hakata Terminal. Their staff had been very friendly and accommodating, and they even initiate small conversations with the guests. Another plus for this hostel was that they offer a discounted round-trip ticket to the Inasayama Ropeway.
Nice and clean ”
The girls dormitory is nice, bed are well equipped with space for your stuff. Common room are cosy and comfortable. Free breakfast with bread and jam. Location is between station and the pier so quite convenient.
