Great place to meet people”
This is by far one of the best hostels in Yangon. If you want to meet other travelers, this is the spot to do so. At the time of this review, renovations recently finished. So you'll experience a fresh and modern lounge/reception area. It's cozy, has great wifi, and chill. Pros: Beds are comfy and clean, showers/toilets are always clean, wifi is great, lounge area is everything you'll hope for. Cons: You have to walk up a couple flights of stairs to get to the dorm rooms (not a problem unless you don't like walking... but then why are you traveling abroad in the first place?), the shower rack is directly across from the showerhead (just sayin... it's a poor design), the a/c can work better than you hope (that's probably a positive =P).

Such welcoming and helpful staff”
Probably one of the best hostels I stayed in in Myanmar. Welcoming and helpful staff, even with unusual situations (me dropping in a day early due to illness that changed my plans). Rooms and showers very clean. And downtown Yangon is a cool place to stay :)

comfy and helpful staff”
I've arrived in Yangon last month, and they let me checked in early, the staff was sooo helpful and warm, and the place was ideal for its close to all you need, store, malls and food place.

Good value for money”
This is Myanmar not Thailand, so things are not going to be as polished. If you are ok with that you will be satisfied here. Great location in downtown close to Chinatown and Sule Pagoda. Food options are plentiful nearby. The dorm rooms are fine, walls not so thick so you hear a lot of noise from outside and the other rooms. Bathrooms could be a little cleaner and wifi is just ok. Breakfast is basic. The host family though was very friendly and helpful with directions. For the price the place is fine.

Good budget option”
It is a very great option if you are looking for cheap accomodation in Yangon. It is located in downtown and everything looked clean to me.

Good”
I reall hoped for social hostel, because it was my veri first night in Yangon. Hostel itself in not bad, very basic with its issues as broken very loud door, which you cant opet without waking all in the room up. But no social people at all. Receptionist not very helping with travel info either. I left day earlier because I just didnt like staying there.

Cheap and clean but less than ideal location”
For what you pay in Yangon, this is a great deal. It's clean, the air con is strong, lockers are big, and the WiFi (lobby and maybe the room above it) is decent for Myanmar standards. But the staff were the least helpful or friendly I encountered anywhere in Myanmar (including elsewhere in Yangon) and the breakfast was downright terrible. Still, you can't beat the price in a country where accommodation is painfully expensive.

Sleep in hostel - simple and clean”
Nice stay, nice welcome. The lady owner is very helpful and sweet, the rest of the staff are struggling with English. Exuhsoting to deal with. Breakfast is lame. All the rest - comfy bed, powerful AC and wifi that doesn't fail. What else. An you ask for in this price? Will be back!

Loved it!”
This hostel gives you fluffy towels, free of charge! And you get Burmese hospitality with a staff member carrying your bag up to your room for you. What other hostel does that?! The showers are a little gross, and you'd be nuts not to wear flip flops, but it is a hostel after all. The dining area was a little odd as the narrow tables were set up in rows with chairs on only one side so it wasn't conducive to meeting people (though it was perfect to get everyone to watch music videos. The breakfast served changed every morning that I was there, and was hit and miss for my taste, but props to them for serving local, non-Westernized breakfast food. I left an article of clothing there and couldn't return for another ten days, and they not only remembered me, but returned my clothing to me as well. I'd stay here again.

Good place to sleep, but don’t expect much”
Listing showed currency exchange, restaurant, free breakfast, bar, games room, and gift/souvenir shop. Not one of these things were at the property!! No guest access to kitchen, so I was limited to ramen and sandwiches (got the supplies from a nearby supermarket). Small drink refrigerator with sodas/beer by the reception stand, but everything is double the price you’d pay at the convenience store around the corner. Coffee machine was setup a few days into my stay, but again the prices were very high and I had already bought cheaper supplies at the store. Different staff members will you give you different answers to questions, so ask them all. The young people running the hostel mean well and are friendly, but I don’t think they have much experience. Metal door to dorm room was very loud and disruptive when rude roommates slammed it at all hours of the night going in & out repeatedly. For the price, it’s not a bad place to stay - just don’t expect anything other than a bed and shower.

good location near chinatown, shwedagon and sule pagoda”
many shops and restaurants near the place. staff was a bit weird and slow, but helpful and do their best. private room can feel a bit like prison cell without windows, but has all comforts. could be cleaner, but as it is a hostel, i expect other guests to maintain cleanliness (which some obvious didn't...). keep in mind that the myanmar government control the hotel prices and these will (hopefully) drop next year. burmese don't get paid enormous salaries, so don't expect them to run as dogs for you and to be aware of foreign customs.

Good value for money”
You get the basic for what you pay. The hotel is nicely located, the room is clean and with a good AC so it's perfect to rest. If you are on a bugdet this is a good option...

i recommend this place”
I was sick so it was important to have a nice place to stay in. I would totally recommend this place. Thick clean mattresses and ac in the rooms. The bathrooms Werte cleaned several times a day. Wifi was medium to good (remember it's Myanmar). Breakfast was interesting but good.

great stay”
we have a great stay here. Even the hostel is not a 5 star hotel but the service is better than 5 star. They will try their best to meet your request. We love the environment. Good location. Nearby a shopping mall.

Comfortable dorms at a good price”
I ended up staying at Sleep In Hostel one more time before I lef the country. The breakfasts weren't anything special, but the dorm rooms were great and so was the price.

not bad for the price”
The stay was ok. The price is worth it.They have friendly staff. We have different lockers, and there's CCTV so you're safe. This one's suited for backpackers and if you want to save a lot of money for accomodation. Not much to say coz I haven't stayed for the whole day.

Best hostel I’ve stayed in so far”
From arriving the guys on the desk made my stay. They are nothing but helpful. From telling you where too go, booking Uber’s and even putting money towards my taxi because they told me it would be less money than it was .... they were fantastic. So much so I told my friend too stay here too. Beds are comfy, showers are clean and the breakfast is pretty good. On Fridays they even provide free dinner and drinks. Definitely recommend and would visit again.

Nice place”
The staff are helpful and always smiling and I met a bunch of really nice people here. The wifi doesn't really work in the rooms from my experience and the breakfast is pretty tiny, it would be good to have a substitute for people who don't eat egg instead of just two tiny pieces of bread.

Ok”
Clean beds and sheets, bathrooms are not clean and some of the toilets cant lock. Breakfast is not very impressive. Quite a long walk to the shwedagon, when i asked staff about busses they told me to walk or take a taxi. There are busses and they are very easy to use, staff was not helpful. Also i was told there were no busses to the airport, i took one from downtown that stopped about 2 km from then airport. From there i took a taxi, a much cheaper option!
