Best hotels & accommodations in Barcelona

I stayed at Casa Gracia on March 2015 with my parents. I was so excited because it was the first time in Barcelona for me, and also for my parents, it was the first time in Europe. When we got the hostel right from the airport from Korea, we were exhausted, but since we saw the room, it was really nice and we could be relaxed. Room was very nice, the bathroom was big w...

The Martinval Hostal/Hotel is a perfect place to stay in Barcelona. It is 10 minutes walk to Las Rambla and the Sagrada Familia. Heaps of restaurants and cafes nearby. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff are really friendly and helpful. We walked to the nearby subway station about 7 minutes away and caught the train to the airport for €4 each. Barcelona is a...

This was our first visit to Barcelona. I did not regret getting into this property as it was close to what we needed, Sagrada fi Familia and other places. Rooms were clean, we had all what we needed. We took the shared bathroom option for the first time ever. Bathroom was shared between 4 other rooms, so in total I would say around 10 other people staying on the same ...

It was lovely to walk into the air-conditioned premises of Casa Kessler. My daughters and I loved the character of the hostel with its beautiful ceilings and tiled floors.. The facilities are excellent (showers, kitchen, communal room and terrace) . It was a lovely place to come back to after a busy day . The nearest metro stations are a 10 mn walk away and there is a...

The place is very nearby to the Barcelona Nord, casa mila, la sagarita famila and all the beaches. However the bathroom are shared but they have wash basin in the room. The only problem is they don't have well equpied kitchen. Tge staff is very friendly and ready to help. Very good experience. Very good for this value and I recomend this

A hotel stragically located next to Placa de Sants metro station from where we can have access to many places of interest all by train. (The passenger is charged per entry basis irrespective of the number of stations passed.) These places include Sagrada Familia; Park Guell(Lesseps Station); La Ramblas (Catalunya Station); The Royal Palace(Espanya Station); Ciutadell P...

Generator Barcelona is a 7-10min walk from the metro. Although the neighborhood seems dark and quiet at night, it’s extremely safe. There’s also a lot of nearby 24hr convenience stores near the area. The rooms were cleaned regularly, and so were the bathrooms. The staff was nice and accommodating. Tried asking for a bottom bunk for my shared room, and they gladly gave ...

I am a solo female traveler in my early 60’s. I stayed at Somnio in April of 2014 and will stay there any time I return to Barcelona. The hostel is in a safe, convenient location within a short walk of the Airport bus, metro, and Place Catalunya. My single room was on the second floor. It was clean, and there was a twin bed, armoire, side table and sink. There was a ...

I must say that front desk girls all did a wonderful job n making us feel comfortable and easy to navigate around here. We were greeting with a big warm sweet smile and we will come back here if we revisit Spain.... ask her and she will give good recommendations from food to shopping to museum visits. Good location, good wifi, good convenient water dispenser too

After searching for a good hotel in Barcelona, I decided to book this one since the location was decent and it looked modern and clean. My family and I very checking in at separate times, the hostal staffs were very accommodating and helpful. The room was exactly like the picture which was great, very clean and modern in a old Spanish style building. I would say the lo...

It's one of the best hostels I've ever statyed in Spain. It's economic and modern. Staff are very friendly and helpful; Breakfast is really great that you can stuff yourself with yum food; The use of electric room key is very convenient and safe; The bed is very cozy; Electric plugs are available in two styles - very convenient to backpackers all around the world; Wash...

This place is in a great spot, we could walk to everything! Its great value for money considering the price of other accommodation in Barcelona, and the staff are both helpful and friendly. The room itself was well sized but very dated and the decorations tacky. The windows in the room where high up on the wall and we were unable to open the blinds. We had one of the ...

I was staying at Rodamon for 2 nights and for sure I will stay here again next time I’m in Barcelona. Everything was perfect. Location is great, pretty close to metro station (less than 3 minutes walk), in a walking distance to Sagrada Familia (I walked there and it was super easy and fast), close to Catalunya (everything is in walking distance), pretty close to this t...

It was the second time in Barcelona and i was looking for a hostel not so close from the center. This hostel was at the perfect location for me, i met Barcelona by feet and it was magical. The stuff was very kind and the breakfast very delicious. My first travel alone and definitely i will do it again!

It’s a small hotel but all was good, hotel staff was friendly and helpful, we had a room in a first floor. The room was small with a little balcony, but nice and clean. The bathroom was also quite small but nothing we couldn’t handle. What wasn’t good was the noise coming from the other rooms because of the thin walls. The hotel close to metro like 8 mins and also walk...

My stay was astounding. One of the BEST hostels in Europe! If you stay at URBANY BCN GO--expect 5-star treatment, great facilities, pub crawls every night. Staff is very professional--Cristina, Elise, Christophe, Wendy, Courtney, LAURA from MIAMI BEACH, SARAH from Wales, Sarah from OZ, Dexter are 5-star team members along with the rest. Danny and management do a grea...

Barcelona Central Garden was the perfect place to stay in Barcelona. The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable with recommendations of what to do and how to do it as well as how to save money. There were a few activities organized by the hostel while I was there which were very fun a land a great way to meet other travelers. Overall. I would highly recommend t...

We had a corner room. Double bunk. The bathroom next our room can be noisy at times when the fan goes off. Yet it is an indicator of occuption. Sadly, the shower facility was broken. It does get clean second day or so. 8am is the worst time to use the bathroom. Love the free breakfast and free water for topping up. your own bottle. It was less thing to worry about duri...

The location is very good. Hostel is above the underground. The hostel was cheap and this is its best advantage. The furnishings was very standard. The bathroom was outside the room, but there wasn't any queue. The staff was very nice but not everybody speak English.

If you´re coming to Barcelona look no further that this place! Good vibes embody this hostel and the staff is so warm and helpful that you feel instantly at home. It´s a terrific place to meet people if you´re a solo traveler and free sangria or food is served each night. Facilities are clean and modern with the kitchen including free coffee/tea/spices/cooking oils. Lo...

We arrived to hostel at about 23:00. We were met at the reception without any problem, we gave a deposition for keys (10 euro each) and sucessfully got our rooom. It was so clean and smelled so good (this smell of clean sheets was there for all three days). Beds were comfortable af. It was noisy outside but it's obvious if you live in the city centure. There are free l...

I stayed for 2 nights. The Gràcia district is the best area for hanging out in Barcelona. The building is modern with a stylish area to eat or work on your laptop, and a spacious private courtyard open from 8AM - 8PM. Everything was clean and the toilet facilities were good. The WiFi was fast. My 4-bunk dorm was spacious. Perhaps the only problem was the lack of coat...

1 Very nice terrace, even if a bit windy. I imagine it would be perfect on summer months. 2. No upper sheet, just blanket. Does not feel comfortable. 3. I don't think the floor in my room was even brushed once during my stay. (Corridors and bathrooms were brushed and washed daily) 4. Though shower stalls are nicely roomy, showers themselves left lot to wish for. Wat...

One of the best hostels I have stayed at. They have a program for their guests who doesnt have an itinerary upfront. Free walking tours daily, they have paella-making nights which I soo love. They gave out some free dinners too! The staff is awesome, very friendly and always ready to help. Special shout out to Raf, Jen and Niko and all the lovely ladies of Black Swan -...

The location was good and the lady who cleans and sets up breakfast in the morning is very kind and helpful. No one was ever really around if you had any questions. We didn't even know who was actually in charge until a few days in. People were constantly arriving to check in when there was no one working, so they would ring the doorbell over and over until my boyfrien...

The location is perfect! Very close to Plaza de Catalunya and, what was important for me, to the stop of the night buses to the airport. The only drawback - it seemed not very clean, especially the bedsheets. I am not sure if they were clean or not. Still, worth the money. I guess it is the cheapest hostel in Barcelona. The staff was very friendly. Another point - they...
Cheapest hotels in Barcelona

going there to the airport I do recommend you buy the HOLA BARCELONA travel cad they have 2,4..... days just check the nearest train station its was a huge mistake to took a cab for 32euros (price of 2, 2days hola card). It's a tiny door leading to the hostel, don't be scared like I did (the name on the door is small), buzz right thru and some one will open the door fo...

We spent 2 days in Barcelona and at the Inout hotel, which is a very nice location in the forest, a bit far away from the city center if you don't have a car, but directly in the nature. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Staff is very nice. And we also enjoyed the swimming-pool. To be recommended if you look for a "nice" price.

The staff are super nice! You have a very warm welcome when you first enter this hostel. They are always smiling and friendly. The facility are clean and tidy. The only problem is you need to climb a little bit when you going back to the hostel. Except this it perfect for every traveler who would to stay in Barcelona.

Its clean and near the city center. You get a decent bed and washing facilities. A locker albeit you have to pay a euro to get the lock and key. The staff is polite and generally helpful. The kitchen is decent as is the large lounge with a couple of computers if you have a need for them. The atmosphere is a little dull and quiet which might not be everyone's cup of tea...

I stayed at the Don Mustache Hostel for two days. For the location, it was perfect for a tourist as it was literally walking distance to the heart of Barcelona. The staff was exceptional, especially Julie, who went out of her way to make me feel comfortable during my first hostel experience. I highly recommend this hostel!

Excellent location, very close to metro, train and bus, and walking distance to everything there is to see in Barcelona. Only con is that it's on a busy avenue, so if you're a light sleeper that could be a problem. Cleanliness is very good, and staff helpful and kind.

Ot wasy second time in this hostel and was a tiny bit disappointed, as this you're breakfast wasn't included in the price (last year included, this year €2.50). I would be ok with paying if there was bigger choice, but it was exactly the same as last year. So that's the part that was disappointing. Oh, and at night it gets cold in the room cause of the AC. But everyt...

This was a very cool hostel. The staff were very friendly and helpful, a tasty dinner was provided each night, the bathrooms and showers were clean, and the rooms came with your own locker that could only be opened with your keycard. The staff also puts on a pub crawl each night and the whole atmosphere of the place was great for meeting new people. I'll definitely s...

My stay was astounding. One of the BEST hostels in Europe! If you stay at Sant Jordi Hostel Rock Palace--expect 5-star treatment, great facilities, pub crawls every night. Staff is very professional--Paolo is a 5-star team member along with the rest. You won't be disappointed if you book a room or bed at Sant Jordi hostel. Give them a try, see how you can experie...

Nice place to stay located in the heart of Barcelona. From there you can go absolutely to anywhere on foot. The hostel was quite clean when I went, there are kitchen where you can cook, they sell breakfast too, however, it’s too expensive. The comum area is nice to meet people, eat and drink something. In overall I’d stay there again.

Staffs are SO FRIENDLY, facilities TOP notch. Felt like a boutique hotel totally. Their kitchen and common areas are so clean that it felt like home, and I’m not even exaggerating about it. Did I mention about their balcony? Perfect place to relax after a day trip exploring the city. Shower area extraordinary clean and you get to fine tune the hot water to your ideal t...

Stayed in a 6-bed mixed dorm as a solo female traveller and had no problems at all. Staff were very friendly and spoke excellent English. The location is close to a bus stop and 15 mins walk from Barcelona Sants station. There is a cafe just round the corner and they serve really good bakeries! Only issue I have is the shower as it does not have any hooks apart from a ...

We are satisfied with the hotel during our stay. It is located near the train station, just 8-minutes walk from train station. The staffs always offer you the help with smiles. Kitchen and rooms are clean and comfortable. It is so nice that you can relax on the sofa in the living room, can listen to the music or watch TV.

Don't waste your money. Awful place. Unclean, poor staff, shocking facilities, exposed wires in the wall, the list goes on. Don't think the beds actually qualify as beds, probably a better nights sleep, sleeping on the floor. Not much else to say really, ended up moving to a hotel.

Used for a recent visit to Barcelona. Small Hostel with a friendly vibe and great for meeting new people. Fist time at a hostel and sleeping in dorms and it was a very good experience. Clean and very friendly and this transferred to other guests making the social areas good places to be.

First time in a hostel! Stayed in the 10 sleeper room on the 4th floor. It was so hot and stuffy in that squashed room. The air conditioning is only in the communal areas downstairs. But the bed was comfy and clean. Two showers and 4 toilets served 4 rooms, at least two of which slept 10 people each. There were also only two sockets in the room. Would stay again.

clean facilities, thick bed and has wall adpater each beds and privacy own as well. staffs are awesome, super cool. Just one think i kind of dislike, is hard to find this location with google map. i had a stuggle time to find the hostel. but onecd you check in, you are good to go because now you know it. totally successful booking. recommand to friends

We stayed here because it was a really busy week in Barcelona with a telecoms conference, so there were hardly any rooms left in the city when we came round to booking. But as hostels go I was really pleasantly surprised! The rooms are large and clean, we had a small balcony overlooking the Main Street which we liked. The staff are the real jewels here, every one of th...
Traveler impressions of Barcelona
La sagrada familia. Park Guell. Picasso museum. Discover the city by walking rather than taxi, car or metro because you discover amazing things and places
Barcelona was the most enjoyable city I have visited. It is a living city, anytime you can meet people anywhere, youngs, kids, families.
My fitbit tells me we walked 42 miles during our 10-day visit! We enjoyed just wandering around. We took the hop-on hop-off bus one day.
Very easy to get around. A T10 card is 9.95 euros and can be used by multiple people and has 10 units for use in metro or bus.
you don't feel being away from your country, people in Barcelona respecting tourist and helping them to have enjoyable stay.
barcelona is very clean city and there are a free wifi in the street in the most main streets in barcelona and the people there are very kind and helpful
Full of culture and history, with great food choices. A vibrant city to walk around. Efficient transport.
Barcelona has many interesting buildings to see, museums and outdoor sights to see. The MTR network is good, as most sites can be reached by MTR.
Barcelona is energetic and full of diversity. There are so many historic buildings to be visited, and the scenes are just stunning
YOU MUST VISIT THE SAGRADA FAMILIA. " WONDERFUL" AND YOU CAN WALK ALL THE NEIGBORHOOD WITHOUT ANY PROBLEM.
Just be very careful as Barcelona is not a city of Gaudi buildings but a city of 'Pick Pockets'. Day 1 - when getting into the lift at the metro with our bags, a fifty & a twenty year women tried to pick our pockets.
It is possible to just wNder around Barcelona for days. The architecture is stunning and is best accompanied by a guided tour.
A beautiful city full of beautiful architecture. Loads of dining and drinking options to suit all tastes and budgets.
take your time and try to absorb the sights, sounds and the city vibe. i love that it's so laid back
Barcelona is a charming city with a pleasant mix of older and modern buildings. There are many things to do within the city and nearby country side.
2nd time being here. People are more friendly than the last time that I stayed. A lot of interesteing places.
The best city I have ever visit . It is beautiful a lot to see. Just take your comfortable shoes and enjoy.
Very magnificent city with a huge choice of incredible nice cathedrals, churches, castles, plazas, buildings, monuments, etc.
Their dinner time start late, roughly around 8:30-9 pm Food is great! But people are abit layback Restaurants closed from 2-6pm Love Park guell
A city geared for tourism, with much to show. Take the hop-on hop-off city tour. It stops at many places worth visiting.
Barcelona has a lot to offer. Best place to stay is close to Plaza de Catalonya easily accessible from the airport and train station by metro.
My first impression of Barcelona is a very nice city. Many interesting places to visit. The are museums, old historical buildings, Nou Camp and others.
Barcelona is an amazing city. The buildings are beautiful. I did not find the people very friendly which was a surprise to me.
beautiful . excellent buildings . looks as if u r in a big fair / carnival.sun is too bright u will get good tanning.
Awesome city, the perfect city for tourism. Excellent food, affordable prices for restaurants. Highly recommend the BUS TOUR as it goes everywhere and u can use for 2 days
Maybe the coolest city in the world. I spend about 100 days a year on the road and have been to over 50 countries and Barcelona is now one of my favorite places.
Great city to visit, so much to do and see. 3 Nights were no enough to do it justice. Must go back !
There is much to enjoy in Barcelona apart from the main tourist attractions, especially if you do not enjoy crowds.
Of the European cities we've visited, Barcelona is our favorite, and we think it is because it has old world charm, but with less of a touristy feel.
Barcelona is a great destination for a trip. I would suggest a trip to Sitges, but as a taxi can be fairly costly, hire a car or take the metro.
