I actually tried to book my brother to stay here the night we arrived in Stockholm but I made a mistake on the dates and he had to go to another hostel nearby which he commented was not really nice so I am glad to have gotten my dates right for my stay here at City Backpackers! hee! well, the start of my arrival in Stockholm was bad, our train from Malmö was delayed for 2hr 45 mins. so we arrived at 3am plus... grrr... and so coming to City Backpackers felt good for me... it's not far from Stockholm C station (3 streets away) and Megan was there to guide me to my room, bathroom and also kept the info concise and little for me cos I was really tired and I wanted to have a shower before bed. She is cool and allowed us to dump our big heavy luggages at the reception. :) City Backpackers felt really welcoming and like "Welcome home" honest. :) Maybe cos the people working there are so cool. I followed my brother to his hostel and it felt different. :p too bad for my brother... Awesome stuff about this place, it felt like a camp right here. haha.. with common imacs/movie room, common outdoor sitting area, kitchen with free pasta, free washing machine/dryer use, lots of lockers everywhere for you, wonderful place to mix around. Even hanging around the reception is relaxing. & a sauna too! I am here with my bro to do a quick 2 day tour of Stockholm and missed out on the interaction with the guests. Pity! I definitely will only stay here next time round in Stockholm!

When I arrived there, I did not have my backpack because I was moving from another place. The staff requested to see my linens. Otherwise, he would charge me 30 SEK. So I had to go back to get my baggage. The lockers are outside the room. I hope there are more WC. The space is not small.

I had a nice stay in the hostel. There was an extra charge for the sheets and towel, which i disliked. The wifi did not work inside the room so you had to go outside to get working signal. There were lockers for every bed which was convenient. The location was good and they have a map with cheap places to eat shop etc. The staff were excellent.

The rooms were a little small but it does not matter if you are going to be out the whole day. But, people who are claustrophobic might want to think twice before staying here. It was ok for us but it got a little hard to move around as there was only a little space between the bunk beds and the table. Radiator was not really warm so it got a little cold into the night...

It was ok for us but it got a little hard to move around as there was only a little space between the bunk beds and the table. Radiator was not really warm so it got a little cold into the night. The good side is that the room is generally clean and the shower pods were nice. And they had free parking too so that was a plus.

This is a centrally located and therefore convenient hostel with beautiful views of Visby's rooftops and the sea (this is from the top floor). Inside, it is pleasantly decorated and clean. The kitchen appears to be well equipped, although I couldn't locate the fridge (a freezer in need of defrosting was there). However, at the level of price charged, I believe that towels should be included. Also, noise travels within the building, so I was almost able to follow conversations going on in other rooms. There were no staff members at all present, but I did receive a prompt reply by text message to my query on arrival.

I enjoyed this hostel. Not that central to the main town of Gothenburg but well set up and clean and hood vobdiyion. Great kitchen n dining area. Only issue is the owner isn't available very much and needs to be there more during the day. Nice guy tho.

we booked a twin room with shared bath. The room was so tiny that it was impossible for us to open our luggages for our daily needs and to repack for our homeward flight. Upon request, we were offered a room with 2 double deckers, which is slightly better and solved our problem. The hostel is conveniently located and reasonably priced. one big drawback is that the...

I stayed one night here when I went to Halmstad to see a concert with the Swedish band Gyllene Tider. I chose this place due to the price, but it turned out that the hostel was inside the concert venue - and from my room I actually had a full view of the whole scene and audience of the concert! However, I still chose to go inside and see the concert as my ticket already was bought - instead of just watching it all from my window. The hostel is simple like many hostels are, but nice. I brought my own towel and bed sheets - otherwise you have to pay to rent it. Please be aware, that you must clean your room before leaving - or pay to have it cleaned. And the reception is not open 24-7. Internet access also requiers a fee. The hostel is next to the harbour for sailing boats, five minutes walk from the train station and approx. 10 minutes walk from the city center. There are not many bars, cafes or restaurants near the hostel. I only saw one - an Italian restaurant - along the sea side when I walked towards city. The staff is friendly and I got my own 4-bed room with own bath room as I had ordered a single room. Halmstad is a very nice, provincial Swedish town with a nice city center, access to the sea/water and near very attractive beaches (and of course the home town of Per Gessle - leader singer in the world-famous band Roxette - and in the Nordic-famous band Gyllene Tider:-)

I satyed here for my business trip. I think this hotel was quite satisactory for business traveller if we would like to save accomodation cost. The rooms were just enough and breakfast was not fancy, but just enough to get started morning. There was a night club under the hotel, and it may get quite noisy with heavy base sound during night. Good option for solo travellers. Reception, washrooms and kitchen facilities are in a separate building beside the cabins. Cabin room is quaint and located just beside the lake. Nice view as you step out of the train. Wifi connectivity might depend on the location of the room.

the location is good because it is easy access to the centre train/bus station and to copenhagen ferry station. it is also close to reasonably economic shopping areas and restaurants. the fresh produces open-market is walking distance. everything was convenient especially for a single traveller like me.

The hostel is in a perfect location just beside the metro. There are some shops, restaurants, bars and supermarket around. The single room is very small, fit only for one person and there isn't any window, so the ventilation isn't very good. But overall it's a great hostel with this price in Stockholm.

I had a pretty good stay at the Colonial Hotel. The bed was comfortable and it was nice to have my own bathroom. A couple of negatives: I was on the thirs floor and the lift was very frustrating as other guests would often leave one of the two doors unlocked, meaning it wouldn't go anywhere; the walls are pretty thin - the amorous couple in the room next to me were def...

I sincerely recommend Vila. Every year we (3-4 men) do a Boys-On-The-Road trip from Finland to Borås for some tool shoppint at Verktygsboden and of course for good food and Irish pub experiences. Breakfast is very nice and the self service works just fine. I would say that the price/quality comparision is unbeatable here.

Basic price seemed to be ok as Agoda did not all the facts regarding the room. In Agoda site they say that room includes bed sheets and towels but that is not true. You have to pay for then. So actually room price will be more near real hotel not hostel as this is. And real hotel also have normally breakfast included in room. This not. I wont be coming back as there i...
