good location, and comfy bed”
in many hotel i have go, i would say i love this hotel, though it located in the centre of hearts of singapore. it is easy access to anywhere. very convenience very good location. dont say about the room nor the staff. they are so nice and helpful. the room is so comfy that makes me want to sleep all day long. haha. one thing important for me the bed and the toilet. super clean and smell nice ! that is most impt. i will surely return back with my partner !

Cool hotel! ”
I love the design of the hotel, its so chic! Bed's comfy, we stayed at a room with balcony, best decision ever! You get to view chinatown from the top. The reception are very friendly and helpful too, upon checking in they were very polite and patient in explaining the rules and regulations of the hotel, and answer to all our questions attentively! Very strategic location too, very near to the train station as well as easy access to finding food. Also there's a bar below our hotel room, and there's live band too, but the band doesn't play until midnight so rest assured the we get very nice and quiet night rest. Even the chinatown market closed when its near midnight. But in my opinion even if the band or the market continues after midnight i still wouldn't mind though :) seriously great hotel! Would love to stay at this hotel again for my next visit!

Great 5 nights stay”
We stayed 5 nights , the hotel is quirky , an old converted opera house , with escalators instead of elevators. ,The staff are friendly and helpful , the room was really small but big enough , we had in room safe ,and an unexpected bonus of a balcony overlooking the street . The bathroom was tiny but we didn’t mind it . Maybe difficult for tall people with long legs.. breakfast was good ,with a few choices , WiFi was good . Close to many food centers and restaurants. Peoples Park had many money changers , but be aware that there are two Peoples Parks. Easy to travel to all places of interest from China town MRT, also to and from Changi Airport .

Great location, nice breakfast”
Our room was near the chinatown hawker street, we stayed 3 nights, one of the night, it got very noisy. Superior Double Room might get noisy at night because of the location. But overall the location of the hotel is good, the breakfast was ala carte with at least 10 choices. The room was clean. Staff was kind. Overall not a bad stay.

I had a 1 night stay in Superior w Balcony. though it looked v plain from the outside, but great amenities inside. it was well built and the interior is so nice. there’s few games that you can play with if you’re bored in room. room is well maintained. bed is super comfy, aircon works well. though the balcony is a lil bit dusty. a lil of noice here and there as the streets is just right outside of the balcony but its not a big deal fr me as i had a good sleep. 👍🏻

5 stars for value for money. We enjoyed our stay there. Location was absolutely perfect for us with it being super near the Chinatown MRT station and located on the food street; breakfast, staffs, cleanliness all good. We recommend it.

Location, food, facilities are superb”
Breakfast is good. They serve diff menu everyday. And food in their paid resto is good and reasonably priced. Free water too. Just outside the hotel is the Chinatown Food street. You'll never go hungry in this hotel. Since it is in Chinatown, tourist spots are a short walk away. It can get a bit noisy (though it is part of the concept which is Opera House). But overall, it's worth it.

Great snuggle room ”
The room we choose were small, but neat and tidy. No problem choosing food and transport. 5mins walking to Chinatown mrt with lots of good and sightseeing along the way. Staff very friendly and polite. Downside only between 17 to 2230pm you can hear noise from restaurant bar downstairs the lobby. After all very happy with the stay.

Excellent location, top-notch service, A+ value for money”
We chose the hotel primarily for its location (three minutes from the MRT as advertised) and we’re now planning to return because our stay at Hotel 1887 gave us so much more. Our change of room to one with a large bed was handled promptly and efficiently. The standard windowless room we stayed in for three nights was just the right size for ourselves, our luggage (one large and two cabin-sized pieces) and the growing mound of our purchases. Mattress was firm and we were very comfortable with our four pillows, single blanket and thick comforter. Linens weren’t changed daily but that’s actually a plus for us because we support all efforts to conserve water. Bathroom layout was spacious in our room but drainage was so so we had a puddle around the toilet area after showering. This was probably the only sore point, but housekeeping made sure the bathroom was clean and dry by the time we returned to our room at night. Street noise didn’t reach our room and that was perfect considering the Chinatown Food Street stalls were just outside the hotel’s Smith Street entrance. The proximity of the Food Street was convenient for dining past 8pm. For a really late night attack of the munchies, the 7-11 right next to the hotel was an additional convenience. Breakfast choices ranged from traditional Singaporean to continental and portions were hearty. Free-flowing tea and coffee were the real deal, nothing at all was diluted. The service staff were efficient, brisk about their tasks but still warm and accommodating. Our kudos to them! The hotel ‘s renovation of a former opera house showcased sensible use of space and gave off a modern and yet comfortable vibe. We would highly recommend this hotel to other couples, solo travelers and groups of friends.

Great atmosphere and location for solo travellers”
Soft played music can be heard from inside the room, however becomes silent after roughly 10 PM which helps sleeping. Location is great! very close to Chinatown and easily accessible to various shops and services on both sides of the hotel. Staff were polite and helpful. Room was clean albeit a bit small, though for one traveller was just fine. Breakfast was okay, with 4-5 dishes excluding toast and freshly made omelette on the spot. Would definitely book 1887 if I were to go to Singapore again.

In the heart of chinatown”
Centrally located in chinatown, room had a great view of the restaurants there. Room had a balcony with two chairs. Internet worked fine, but air con did not make the room cold enough. The included breakfast was the best part of the deal.

Hotel was set in a great location in China Town, walking distance to many places to eat/drink (though Grab Taxi’s are also inexpensive to catch). Room was clean, small as excepted though they made good use of the space. Shower had cool water only. Wifi had good connection and the staff were very friendly.

Good location. Every you need. ”
The location is in the heart of China town. About 100M to metro. Room is very small but it’s everything you need inside the room. Better stay for a night. If you are solo traveller it’s very suitable for you. If you have big luggage , i dont recommmend as there is no space in the room. There is no lift but there is escalator. Breakfast is very good compare with the price and other hotels in Singapore.
