Oh well it was a great experience staying here. Location was perfect. It's close to bus stop and MRT. Rooms were clean, not too big but good and service is great. Value for the price, if you travel in 2, better to stay here than hostels. Walking distance to bus stops very near. And the last day before we check out, receptionist name Ada or Aida, she really friendly and helpful, we also storage our baggage at the lobby and all the stuff are safe. Love it.

Worth the price”
It’s worth the price. I did not expect much but turned out this is a great budget option for my SG trip. Room is small, but actually big enough for 2 people with 1-2 small luggages. Toilet is clean. The only issue is the walls are so thin and no sound-proof, things can get very noisy at night

Hotel room kinda small but it's clean and give luxury vibe. There are many foods and mart near the hotel. MRT Station not really far from here it is only took 5 minutes walk . Really recommended if you search for hotel to stay in Singapore. Would appreciate if hotel management can fix their soundproof :) thank you~

The place is just a few steps from the bus stop and the train station. It is also surrounded by affordable food restaurants so you don't worry where to eat. The place itself and the staff are also very friendly and can communicate well so we didn't have any hard time checking in and asking for our needs.

Very nice hotel”
I really do not understand the negative reviews of this hotel. Very clean, yes it's a small room but it's a budget hotel. My room had a very nice shower, tv, small fridge and coffee machine. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. I really like this place and look forward to coming back sometime in the near future.

I loved the old Los Angeles charm of the hotel exterior and was then pleased to find a Japanese inspired motif inside, originally I was booked at a different Hotel 81 but when I expressed my preference for this location Salma, an assistant manager arranged the transfer and surprisingly to me there was no price differential for this more aesthetically pleasing hotel, Salma also helped me plan my route every day and I learned the MRT system well, the manager who’s name I forget and the rest of the staff were also all excellent and very helpful, this was my first visit to Singapore and this Hotel 81 superior was an integral part of making my stay so enjoyable and affordable, John Mark

The staff was really accommodating and helpful. It's 3mins away from the bus stop. We were able to do work with their wifi (around 5-10mbps?). Quiet but you'll occasionally hear people from the balcony. Very cool airconditioning unit
