Great new hotel”
We stayed at Hotel Accord for our last two nights in Yangon. The beds were super comfy, the staff very helpful and rooms very quiet at night despite being in the heart of a busy area. The location is great near Dagon Center 1&2 with a lot of street life and several restaurants right outside the front door. The Owner was often in the lobby helping guests and was very friendly and open to suggestions. The staff were all very helpful and spoke remarkably better English than at most other hotels. Overall the hotel was clean. Bathrooms are small and set up like most in Myanmar with the shower fitting out in the open instead of in an enclosure, but had a rain head and good water pressure. TV had English and other languages avaliable and the internet was good, with the fastest upload rate we tested in Myanmar and a very solid download rate. This hotel is much better than many in Yangon, even than some significantly more expensive properties. Breakfast was good and ample, however the problem common to Myanmar of keeping hot food hot was apparent here too. The staff did, however, constantly refill seving trays in the buffet which made it better. Our plans for a taxi to the airport fell through at the last minute, but the hotel owner quickly helped and arranged a faiy reasonably priced one. We will come back to this hotel.
Lovely staff, quiet location, hot buffet breakfast”
The staff at Hotel Accord are lovely and friendly, and very helpful. They will even go out to get a taxi for you and negotiate a good price. The breakfast is very good, a hot buffet. Rooms are brand new and very clean. The hotel is in a great location and it's quiet. Only (minor) downsides are there is no restaurant or room service in the hotel, and the lift is a bit temperamental. Otherwise, very good value for money by Yangon standards.
Affordable, convenient, clean, helpful staff”
I was in Yangon for 2 weeks. Breakfast included helped with keeping our trip affordable - but the breakfast is limited, if you're looking for Western food. Omelets were available on some days - the staff randomly asked if I wanted one, but it was not clear if eggs would be available upon my request. The main dishes slanted heavily toward Asian, Chinese, and Burmese: noodles, stir fry, soup. Toast, jam, butter, bananas/melon/papaya alternately, and corn flakes. Coffee and tea, 2 juices. Rooms are small, but the beds are very comfortable. For some reason, the twin beds are more comfortable than the queen beds - a little softer. Showers are hot and strong. Location is 20 minute walk to the Shwe Dagon Pagoda and 10 minute walk to several local shopping malls. There is a great Italian restaurant across the street from the hotel, about 100 meters to the left as you leave the hotel - it is wonderful. Staff is very helpful at the Accord. Wifi is available but inconvenient/spotty.
Great value for the money, friendly and helpful staff”
Quick response when requesting an airport pickup. Only charged me half since there was one other party at the airport to transport to hotel. Most hotels would still charge you full price. Quick and easy check in with Agoda booking already paid in full. The staff accommodated my high floor request. Helpful advice for shopping and taxi. Walking to Shwedagon felt a bit farther due to heat. Since taxis are inexpensive, I suggest just taking one there and back. Hotel provided a card so taxis would have no issue returning you to hotel. Money changer a short walk away. Breakfast was good. Rooftop provides a decent view of Shwedagon. Nothing up there otherwise. I'm assuming they have plans for this areas. Safe in room, easy to operate. I loved the gorgeous black tile in the bathroom. You can tell that this hotel has been upgraded recently. I did hear the dogs early in the morning as mentioned by other reviewer. I provided my domestic air ticket info to hotel but was dropped off by their driver at the international terminal instead. Fortunately it was only a 2 minute walk next door to the domestic terminal. Rather than charge me the $25 US they normal charge for airport pickup, I was only charged 8,000 to be dropped off at airport which is the normal taxi fare. I appreciated the fair charging for these incidentals. Very refreshing to see since this is not always the case elsewhere in the world. Staff aimed to please and requested a review which means good service is a priority. I highly recommend this hotel. The price was an excellent value, even when factoring in the taxi fares.
Great Value for Those on a Budget!”
I was initially attracted to this 3* Hotel by the price point & great reviews along with high scores given by others who have stayed here. The surrounds are not as salubrious as much more expensive options, but the rooms are modern, air conditioned, comfortable beds & linen and the owners and staff eager to please, breakfast simple, but adequate. If you're looking for a comfortable room and caring staff on a budget, the Hotel Accord offers great value!
Exceptional”
The service at the hotel was very good and we had a good stay! A nice and clean room with everything included, the wifi was good! It was quiet and it is located really close the the amazing Shwedagon pagoda! The only negative point was the breakfast. It was good, but not amazing! But I would warmly recommend Accord Hotel in Yangon!
Absolutely amazing hotel, a little bit out of the city center, but who cares? Clean and beautiful! The staff is FANTASTIC; They even thought at my birthday, and I had the surprise to see all team arriving in my room singing happy bday, with a big cake, enough for 4. I you can avoid the rooms on the street, and prefer higher floors. You will absolutely enjoy your stay here, with such a staff. For sure I will return as soon as I go back to Yangon! try the suites that are great! one again thanks to the whole team, never had such a welcome in an hotel before!
Good locations, very nice staff, new modern design, clean and comfortable hotel”
The location is very near to the Shwedagon pagoda, only 10 minutes walk. Clean, comfortable room with reasonable bathroom, I like the 2 powerful showers. The hotel looks very modern and staff is attentive, doorman and reception helped locate a taxi and negotiate a price. Very impressive to the boss and the manager of this hotel, they are very friendly and nice. I recommended this hotel for my friends. If I have a good chance to visit Yangon, I will book this hotel again.
Great service”
I have stayed at the Hotel Accord 5 or 6 times now. I initially chose it for the location (close to friends nearby, and easy to get to work meetings). It is great value for money, but what sets it apart is the service (especially for a 3* hotel). The staff are genuinely friendly and helpful -they will go and get a taxi, and negotiate the price on your behalf. The wifi is generally pretty good. On this stay I got a free upgrade to the Executive Suite. I also came down with food poisoning (not from the hotel food!) and the staff went out and got me meds.
Excellent!”
Had my first stay in Hotel Accord back in January and enjoyed the stay very much as their room was peaceful and the bed was so comfortable to snuggle in. The second visit wasn't any different, and i was much more impressed with their breakfast as they now have an amazing cafe on the ground floor. I was really surprised as it was my birthday on the night I was in YGN, & the front desk gave me a birthday cake! It was a really thoughtful & lovely gesture from the hotel. Would definitely come back again for my next trip 👍
Highly recommended”
I had an excellent stay at Hotel Accord. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. I will definitely stay here again next time I am in Yangon.
Favorite Hotel in Yangon”
Hotel Accord consistently offers clean rooms and good service. It's my top pick for affordable hotels in Yangon.
Close to Shwedagon, new and clean with a great staff ”
It seems the hotel is new so everything was in good condition and it was exceptionally clean. It was located within walking distance to Shwedagon and some restaurants which was really handy. The staff was very helpful in providing directions, organizing taxis and even recommending where my husband could get his haircut. Their breakfast was satisfactory with a small selection of Asian and Western foods - very basic, but clean and well-kept. Although the rooms were on the small side, we were not in Yangon intending to spend the whole time in our room so if you are looking to see the sights and then have some peace and quiet at night in a clean bed for good value, this is the place.
High marks only because of lack of competition”
The Accord was also the best place we stayed as we're traveling on a budget. It is new and therefore rather clean and attractive. We had a standard room which is small (15 sq. M) but still acceptable. Shower was very hot (except for the 5 a.m. shower) and plenty of water. Bed was very comfortable for Asian standards. Breakfast was a disappointment, but equal to most others in Myanmar travels. We were very close to 2 restaurants that were good for coffee and pizza, respectively: Coffee Circles and Sharky's. Nice to be able to walk less than 10 minutes and get an acceptable meal and atmosphere. The Internet worked the best here as anywhere else in Myanmar, but still less than in neighboring Thailand. If you're looking for comfortable surroundings for a couple of days rest, this is a very good place to do it. Walk to the downtown market takes a little over an hour but easy to do as this part of town has unencumbered sidewalks. Walk the other direction for an hour takes you to Inya Lake. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They even arranged an early light breakfast for us on leaving day--unexpected, but greatly appreciated. The taxi ride they provide from/to airport is very comfortable, but costs U.S. $25. Local taxi about $5.
First impression”
I really love Myanmar . This is first time to me to visited and travel alone Accord Hotel is very nice . I got upgrade the suite room .The room is very good , clean and full complementaries. All staffs are very kind espeacially Ms. Thu (General Manager) Thank you so much . I will come back again sure!!
Modern Hotel”
Located in a local area with a morning street market close by. Clean, new hotel with a good choice for breakfast. Walking distance to the main Shwedagon Pagoda. You need to get a taxi to the downtown area of Yangon. There is a good restaurant called "Memories" just across the main road. The shower in the room was always hot but there is only cold water in the hand basin.
I enjoyed my stay. ”
I stayed 3 nights at Accord and it was good. Room was basic and clean. Breakfast was average but the street stalls more than make up for this. Staff was friendly, helpful and responsive. The main highlight for me is that near the hotel, there are street stalls in the morning and at night. Breakfast choices are plenty along the inside street near the hotel. Walk along southwards and you reached a busier main street with small shopping centre and street stalls at night. Location is good enough to walk to West gate of the Shwedagon Pagoda but a prob too far to Chinatown. Cost me around K2500 (Approx USD$2) to take a taxi to Chinatown. If you like a favour of the local wet market atmosphere and food, its a nice place to stay.
Nice hotel, slightly overpriced”
Nice rooms and great location for Swedagon pagoda. A bit far from downtown, but downtown is kind of crowded, dirty and loud anyway. This hotel is great for people who are mainly in Yangon for Swedagon and dining. If you want to be in the heart of the action and don't mind the noise and hubbub of downtown, I'd consider the Grand United Downtown branch which is cheaper with decent rooms and 33% cheaper. Accord has great rooms, a nice lobby and a quieter location.
very satisfied!”
We booked a room at the Hotel very spontaneously online and had no problems. Even tough we arrived early in the morning, the service was great and very obliging. The rooms are modern and comfortable. The price/performance ratio are great (even for students)! I would book Accord Hotel again and again!
Accprd Yangon very nice.”
The staff were fun and friendly + courteous and helpful. The hotel is newly renovated so the rooms are very clean and nice. the location was great for our needs in Yangon. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends.
