Hotel Acta Madfor
Not in the downtown but very convenient for travellers. ”
Close to a big shopping centre and a railway plus metro station. Convenient for travellers of all types. If your room is at the back side, it would be quiet and have a very open and pleasant view. Good for leisure travellers if they stay long enough in the hotel and can be satisfied with food from nearby restaurants easily.
Good hotel near train station”
Room is clean and comfortable. Staffs are friendly. Look out area on 8/F and rest area on L/F are so nice. There are no kettle in the room, can get hot water from coffee maker at rest area. Hotel location is perfect, foot step to Principe Pio train/metro station, easy walking to most major sightseeing spot.
Great and convenient location”
Location is very convenient, just opposite of Príncipe Pio station and shopping mall. Room size quite good and clean but remote control for air conditioner not working good. Overall are good, value for money and will stay the same hotel if come back to Madrid.
Couldn't have asked for a better location--great neighborhood (Principe Pio) on a major street and literally across the street from the Principe Pio Metro/Circanias station, at the foot of the hill with the National Palace above and the river with the beautiful wooded park below. I explored many areas of Madrid but was so happy to return to my (relatively) quiet neighborhood. I asked for a quiet room and was first assigned room 212. That was definitely quiet but not too interesting. After requesting a change, I was shifted to 512 with its beautiful eastern view of the park, trees, river, and swallows that swooped all around every morning and evening. Staff was wonderful. The restaurant was disappointing--breakfast was mainly bland scrambled eggs and a few other hot items along with cold meats and cheese. Lunch was a big mistake. But other than the restaurant, I was very happy with this hotel.
Clean and bright”
The hotel is just opposit to Principe Pio train and metro station. Direct from airport by metro L10 and Atocha train station by C1/C10. There is a mall with many eating place opposit and a supper mart next to the hotel. 10 min on foot to the place, and easy by metro to other sightseeing spots. Hotel is newly renovation, room is clean and bright. Love the rest area on 1st floor. Staffs are very good and willing to help.
Best Stay of our Honeymoon”
We had an amazing stay. Directly opposite Principe station and mall. In that mall, head to Montaditos for a huge glass of beer for €1. Great way to chill before heading back. Wonderful restaurants all around. Take your pick. Our room was huge and luxurious. Design was modern and stylish. We had a good view of the station and it was quiet at night. Love the family lounge room that has everything and anything a family could ask for. Inspiring designs for my own home.
Pra ficar perfeito so falta um frigobar no quarto”
Funcionários atenciosos, terraço ótimo.
Very nice hotel spoiled by the fact Madrid chose to rip off travelers just because of an event on in the city. I dont disagree if a major event is on like concert of football match you raise your prices slightly however this was a £60-£80 a night rooms which i paid £446 a night on average!!!! This it is a real disgrace and a shame because a hotel i would have certainly stayed in again i will be telling everyone i meet to avoid Madrid because of what they did during this football event.
not bad for the price”
not bad for the price
Great short break hotel”
great location for train / bus / metro transport, spotless room with balcony. b/fast good value for 8-50 euros. good selection hot / cold items. Staff very friendly and very informative about the area and Madrid centre. would recommend hotel.
The hotel is right opposite a metro stop which makes it really easy to get around the city. It is also in walking distance to the palace and other key attractions. The staff are lovely, as are the rooms. Check in and check out were quick and easy. The only negative is that they have no storage room for luggage when you check out, they only have lockers. The lockers cost 2 euro and are non-refundable!
Fantastic Holiday ”
This Hotel is in a great location for bars restaurants and supermarket rail station and a fantastic mall for shopping only a 15 min walk into the Centre of Madrid surrounded by beautiful parks we will definitely be going back we just loved the place
Lovely double room, opposite Prinipe Pio station”
We had one of the the double rooms on the top floor with large bathroom and own private balcony overlooking Principe Pio shopping mall and station, and up to the Royal Palace. Room is nicely decorated and clean. Easy access to walking track and river behind the hotel. Supermarket two doors down. Seemed to be a quieter part of Madrid, except for cars driving by. Wifi and ability to print available. Didn't have any issues with noise. Although there are restaurants around they didn't exude foodie heaven. We ate at one place and had a huge veal steak with green salad and fries. Beer and sangria were good.
Wonderful stay. Highly recommend.”
What a pleasant surprise to find this hotel in Madrid! It looked a bit dated from outside but inside, it had been completely renovated and was very stylish and comfortable. Location: Right across the street from Principe Pio train and subway station, which is also a major bus station. Above the station there is a shopping mall that opens till 11 pm with lots of restaurant options. On the same street there are quite a few restaurants to enjoy traditional Spanish food. The hotel is only about 10 minutes away on the subway to major attractions such as the Royal Palace, Plaza Mayor etc. Lobby / Living area: The check-in area is very small, and it's on the same floor as the breakfast area. We didn't eat there so we don't know how the food it. The sitting area is on the 2nd floor and is my favourite place in the hotel. It's a very spacious, stylish, comfortable place to read, surf the net and relax. There are also coin lockers for you to keep your bags after check-out. Room: Love the high ceiling and big windows! You get a nice view of the historic train station and the street. The room itself was very spacious and well-designed. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom: Spotless, big, practical bathroom with powerful shower heads. No complaints! Staff: Everyone was friendly and helpful. Even gave us a good recommendation for dinner. We enjoyed our 3-night stay here. Will come back again on our next trip to Madrid!
Comfortable, stylish hotel in great location”
Hotel Acta Madfor is a great value hotel in a superb location in Madrid. It's within walking district of the royal palace and Madrid Rio (the riverside). Less than 2 minutes from the Metro station too, making it easy to access anywhere in the town centre, and the airport. The hotel is new, clean and well designed. Great hot shower, comfortable bed, and pleasant chillout space downstairs along with roof terrace with excellent views. There's no restaurant or in-room tea & coffee facilities, but numerous good quality eating places either side of hotel and across the road meant that this wasn't an issue (except sadly no breakfast/coffee in bed!). Wi-Fi ridiculously slow though. Overall a great value choice for a stay in Madrid, with money spent on all the right things and saved in the right places!
simple and comfortable ”
Just opposite to Principe poor station, close to some nice Parks anthe palace. There's grocery stores just next to the hotel. I like the the free printing service in living room. But the staff don't really speak English(I later discovered the people in Madrid speak poor English ) overall it's good for value, and nate, clean, comfortable hotel.
Great location, great hotel.”
great hotel in a perfect location if you want to get around. opposite the train station it was so easy to hop on and off the metro, taking you anywhere with ease. the staff were eager to please at all times, the room was spacious enough (there are bigger but this was fine for just me), ultra clean and fresh and so easy to relax in. the living area downstairs is simply just cool. all in all, can highly recommend the acta madfor.
perfect location, next to some wonderful restaurants, wonderful staff, comfortable rooms
Rooms were recently renovated so very clean and comfortable. Location is fine, very close to centre by metro (3 stops) or taxi. No extra facilities in room (no kettle). Overall ok but a bit overpriced.
