The location is good, but the check-in policy is not that good. I was travelling from Riga via Finland , there's only one flight a day and it arrives at 8. The flight time is 9 hours and when you arrive in Japan, when it's morning, in Europe is middle of the night. So you come extremely tired. I waited for a while and then couldn't take it anymore and went to the reception about 13:00. The lady at the reception said: sorry , the check in is only at 15. I could leave my luggage and then had to wait in the nearby starbucks, just not to pass out in the lobby. The hotel is big, check-out is at 11, I'm sure they had some rooms ready. I wish the hotel could make an exception for travellers from far away. When your flight arrives in the early morning, waiting until 15 is torture. And you lose your precious time in Japan. When I arrived in Kyoto and Nara later during that trip, i went to reception to leave my bags, but the staff said that rooms are ready and we can check-in earlier.

Excellent. For international travellers, the most important factor is probably the location. Osaka has two large shopping cum train hubs: Osaka and Namaba. Hotel Agora Regency Sakai is about 5 stops away from Namba (if you choose rapid service which is the same price as normal service service and both services frequency are alternating). In addition, the Hotel is only 1 min walking distance from the Nanakai Sakai train station. One would appreciate the walking proximity of the train station, as taxi are extremely costly. Additionally, by being a few stops away, you will find the price is much lower than hotels located in the Osaka and Namba hub by as much as 50% (nb: I booked ours for approx US$100 per night with ocean view + larger than average room size (by Japanese standards) + free and fast internet. The bathroom is clean and the water pressure is strong and large mirrors and an adjustable round mirror (excellent). Last but not least, it is directly connected to the Osaka Kansai international Airport in less than 40 mins (by express service). So, for those whose flight time involves several hours, you will truly appreciate getting to the hotel and airport fast and easy. This will allow your travel time to be maximized in Japan I will definitely choose this hotel when I travel to Osaka again.

Comfortable and ”
The Agora Regency is a big hotel very close to the station in Sakai, just a walkbridge over the road and you are practically in the hotel lobby. Mind you though that Sakai is NOT Osaka. Sakai is a town south of Osaka. From the new station, Shin-Osaka station, it takes 45 minutes to an hour to get to Sakai. Those coming from the Kansai airport, this is on the way to Osaka. To southern Osaka, the Namba region with a lot of shopping, it is a short train ride. I found nothing missing at the hotel and the staff spoke english better than at most hotels I have visited in Japan.

Beautiful Old World Hotel”
I had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Agora Regency. The property is definitely old. But very, very well maintained. The staff were polite, without being intrusive, as the Japanese are wonderful at. The room was not very big, but not too small either. It was very clean. Location of the hotel is excellent too, right between the airport and main Osaka wards.

The room is big, clean, and full of amenities that suitable for us. We love the coffee machine inside the room. We've had dinner at teppanyaki restaurant on 26th floor. It was good dinner set menu with nice view of Osaka. Staffs are very helpful and friendly. The hotel surrounded by department store that just 5 mins walk. There is also ramen noodle restaurant in the deparment store which is so delicious. "Sakai Station" is the station that hotel is located and it is very easy to access from Sakai station to Kansai Airport

Good hotel, but far from the city ”
Hotel is connected to Sakai station on nankai line which has a direct link to Kansai Airport. However hotel is rather far from the city centre, approximately 20 mins away from Namba, and 45 mins away from Umeda area. for tourist planning to tour osaka on public transportation, the JR line and Osaka Subway Line does not link to Sakai Station. You are required to purchase a separate ticket for the railway line Hotel is clean and spacious. Very good gym, pool and jacuzzi facilities. Executive lounge serves breakfast, tea and evening cocktails. Most Hotel front desk staffs speaks conversational English. Special thanks to Kuro-chan from the front desk who took the extra effort to help us with our room upgrade without prior notice. Hotel also sells the Amazing Osaka Pass which allows tourist to experience osaka with discounted/ free entries to certain tourist attractions

The hotel room in Hotel agora regency Sakai is very big. The hotel location is quite continence. A bridge is connecting the train station and the hotel, just takes 1 minute from train station to hotel.

I had to find a hotel at last minute while in Japan, so many were booked out for the time I needed then I saw Agora pop up and thought, why not, lets treat ourselves. So glad I did. We had not been to Sakai before so it was a great way to go. The rooms are amazing and the service spot on. We got lost because the hotel is massive - this is not a bad thing. Perfect for weddings, conferences, a weekend away.
