Perfect Honeymoon Hotel”
We LOVED Hotel Ai Cavalieri di Venezia, it's a beautiful hotel with a larger size room than most in Europe/Italy. The staff was very friendly and helpful. If you're going on your honeymoon to Venice, splurge and stay here. It's not that much more expensive than others and WELL worth the stay. The best part... BREAKFAST. The included breakfast was the most beautiful spread of delicious meats, eggs, breads, juices, and so much more. It was incredible. We cannot wait to go back and have told all of our friends if they go to Venice, they have to stay here. You need to as well.
Wonderful Hotel in Magical City”
The staff of the Hotel Ai Cavalieri di Venezia were AMAZING! Could not be more friendly or helpful! The hotel itself is gorgeous with a water dock and centrally located to all aspects of Venice. I enjoyed getting lost every time we tried to find our way back and I would have it no other way in this city!
Fantastic location ”
Overall this hotel is amazing. The location couldn't be better, away from the hustle and bustle but five minutes to the city landmarks. The hotel room Junior suite was a welcome surprise. If you arrive late to the airport get a water taxi as the hotel has a dock . Thank you Hotel Ai Cavalieri di Venezia.....great holiday.
Beautiful Hotel with Friendly Staff in Perfect Location”
Ai Cavalieri is situated mid-way between Rialto bridge, Piazza San Marco, and Fondamente Nove, which is arguably the best location in Venice. It is easy to reach all the major attractions, but is in a quieter area that does not have the same bustle of tourists as San Marco. It also has a small water canal at the back, which means one can get to/from the airport via water taxi in less than thirty minutes. The hotel is beautifully decorated in a renaissance revival style, with marble bathrooms, embroidered fabric wall covering, and exquisite chandeliers. Everything was perfectly clean, and the room size palatial by Venetian standards. The staff members were both friendly and polite, and the concierges very willing to help. We didn't have dinner at the restaurant, but the buffet breakfast was a spread of tasty cold cuts, cheeses, pastries, fruit, and an Italian take on bangers and bacon. This would definitely be my hotel of choice should I return to Venice.
Magical Stay in Venice”
Our stay at Hotel Ai Cavalieri made us feel like visiting royalty. Beautiful accommodations and attentive staff added to the pleasure of seeing Venice for the first time. We will definitely stay at Hotel Ai Cavalieri during our next trip to Venice!
This was the best hotel of our trip!”
The staff here is top notch and friendly. I told my husband that this must be a great place to work because all the staff, from front desk to housekeeping and breakfast room/bar are smiling and nodding and make eye contact in a friendly manner. So refreshing. Our room was fabulous, opulent and clean as can be. Just the decor you imagine in a palazzo in Venezia! The room amenities were so appreciated, a robe and slippers, bathroom essentials, turn down service, mini bar, etc. Just first class all the way. I loved the Castello neighborhood where this hotel is located, walkable, safe, and out of the touristy areas of Rialto and San Marco but easy walk to them. Also, the private dock out of the back of the hotel was so nice for a private gondola ride and water taxi service which the hotel arranged for us. Oh and breakfast was fabulous!! Fresh, great choices and again, a friendly service staff that seemed genuinely happy to see us each morning. Would seek this property out again!
Lovely high class and will positioned hotel in Venice”
We recently stayed in a Junior suite at the Hotel Ai Cavalieri and fully recommend it. The hotel is glamourous and traditional. the suite we had had a large roof terrace, large room and big bathroom with freestanding bath. Clean and will kept. The bar and staff were great and the location perfect for exploring as its near Rialto bridge. No faults at all.
An Extraordinary Stay”
Hotel Ai Cavalieri had a great location, a great bed, a beautiful bathroom, a wonderful breakfast and helpful staff at the front desk. However, the nicest thing I want to share is that our traveling companions accidentally left an envelope full of a lot of Euros out on the top of the dresser. We were gone all day and it was right where he left it when we got back. Thank you, Housekeeping!!
Fabulous hotel in Venice”
Opulently decorated in Venician style. Only 5 minutes on foot to San Marco or Rialto Bridge. Professional and friendly staff at the front desk as well as expertly tidy housekeeping. Sumptuous breakfast buffet and wonderful turn-down service common only at 5-star hotels. Totally satisfied with Hotel Ai Cavalieri
Stunning Venetian hotel, ideally located”
Just arrived back from a long weekend in Venice with family. The hotel was ideally situated with a 10 minute walk from St Marks Square and 10 minutes from Rialto Bridge. The hotel was incredibly clean and all the rooms were beautifully decorated. The staff were all incredibly helpful. Breakfast was a fantastic array of cereals, meat, fish, cakes, toast, fruit and more! We had one issue whilst staying, we had no hot water one morning, but the staff were attentive and I was immediately shown to another room, which happened to be a rather gorgeous suite, for my morning shower. Maintenance were sent to our room to fix the problem, whilst we were out and on return to the hotel we had a chilled bottle of prosecco in our room, with compliments from the hotel. Absolutely loved Venice and would go back now if I could.
This hotel had a great bar with snacks, breakfast and excellent drinks. The bartenders were informative and helped with wine selection in an expert manner. The front desk was extremely helpful. They recommended the restaurant at their sister hotel, the Ai Reali. The Alle Corone, a Michelin star rated restaurant, was amazing. Definitely get a reservation there.
Heart of Venice - Excellent staff, hotel and fantastic location”
The hotel is in the center of Venice. We stayed at the hotel for two Nights and would love to come back to stay. The staff is very friendly and came up With good advise regarding restaurants and places to see that were off the beaten path. We came by plane to Marco polo airport. Took a none stop bus parken outside terminal directly to buscentral and from here a Watertaxi vaporetto to Rialto bridge, from here it was 5 minus walk. Price Per person 15€. Very easy and inexpensive.
Romantic vacation in Venice”
This hotel is superb in every way. It is gorgeous, beautifully decorated with antiques, rich fabrics, Murano glass chandeliers and sconces, and stunning rugs. One feels as if one is a guest in a beautiful Palazzo! The staff is helpful, friendly and a source of wonderful information. All restaurant recommendations were excellent. Hotel transfers were arranged flawlessly. Breakfast buffet and service is outstanding. The hotel is located in a quiet section of Venice away from the throngs of people and so, very peaceful. We cannot recommend this hotel more highly!
Great location, spotlessly clean, lovely staff ”
We arrived to find a complimentary bottle of prosecco and strawberries in the room as it was our honeymoon! Nice touch from the staff. The hotel staff would bend over backwards to help you, the porters were very friendly and helpful. Front of house, waiting staff, all who we spoke to were great. The breakfast was very good and even served prosecco! Which delighted my wife! The location is quiet but at the same time 5 min walk to Rialto bridge and less than 10 to St Marks Square. The room was very spacious and comfortable. Lovely decor and good shower. It was super clean as well. All round a great first time experience of Venice, made all the better by this stay we both felt.
Charming, clean hotel.”
This hotel is lovely and just the right size. Amenities were great, loved having the nespresso machine in the room. Bed was extremely comfortable. The only problem we had was intermittant internet, which might not have been the fault of the hotel. One another note, Venice is difficult to navigate and walking From Rialto drop off with luggage is hellish with lots of luggage, due to stairstep canal crossings. Take a private water taxi to the hotel directly!
This was our first trip to Venice and we couldn't have been more thrilled with this hotel. It is over the top romantic! The location is so convenient to everything we wanted to see and the staff was so attentive and helpful. Breakfast was the best we had in Europe! We will definitely stay there again as we fell in love with Venice and with this charming hotel!
Gorgeous old-school elegance”
This was such a lovely traditional grand hotel. Like the rest of Venice, the elegance perhaps getting slightly elderly and faded, but that only added to the charm. Bed was comfortable, room was immaculate, staff were friendly, helpful, kind and attentive, and the breakfast spread was great. Conveniently situated halfway between Rialto and San Marco and on a quiet calle/canal away from the tourist crowds. Highly recommended.
My husband and I stayed here for one night at the end of our stay in Venice. We were mesmerised when we walked into the lobby. The service was fantastic and the rooms were of an excellent standard and all fixtures and fittings were of a high standard. This really helped us to completely relax and enjoy our last night in Venice. The bed was very comfortable and large and the shower was very powerful which made us feel at home.
Stunning hotel with friendly staff”
The hotel is amazing. There is a supermarket just opposite to the hotel. The hotel is classic but newly renovated. The room is beautiful and spacious. The water pressure of the shower is great. The place for breakfast is delicate. It takes ard 8 mins walk to the San Marco ~~~ I ll recommend this hotel to my frds if they go to Venice.
Not exactly the cheapest option - but an experience worth paying extra for.”
Value for money is a relative concept in Venice where everything is over priced and exchange rates manipulated . But this hotel is a great change from the usual - with plenty of Venetian character. Location is difficult with many bridges to cross in the pedestrianised city. But this adds to its appeal - and water taxis are an alternative., If needed. Staff are exceptionally helpful. Rooms are very dark and over furnished - which may be oppressive in summer - but were comfortable in the December cold.
