This hotel is an example of what a 5 star hotel should be. The staff were professional, the breakfast and staff were as good as it can be for Italy standards, the hotel environment is great with everything really nice. The room was really great too. The bed was really comfortable and most details were paid attention to. Really nothing to complain about. Location is a bit hidden but near enough to St Marks Sq so it was still good. Overall I am really impressed with this hotel!!!
Fantastic and elegant hotel. ”
Our room was spectacular. Spacious with traditional decor, a sitting room, walk in closet and modern, large bathroom. The breakfast was top-notch with a large selection of hot and cold items such as fresh fruit, smoked salmon, delicious scrambled eggs and excellent cappuccino. Would highly recommend a stay here as the location was also centrally located and easy to find. It deserves its excellent rating!
Best hotel in Venice”
Private water taxi took me straight to the hotel without having the hassle to find and look for the hotel by my own. Supermarket just nearby and 10mins walk to San Marco. Staff were friendly, breakfast was good though it's the same everyday. Most importantly, the room was HUGE, with lots of room for kids to run freely.
Fabulous hotel in Venice”
Opulently decorated in Venician style. Only 5 minutes on foot to San Marco or Rialto Bridge. Professional and friendly staff at the front desk as well as expertly tidy housekeeping. Sumptuous breakfast buffet and wonderful turn-down service common only at 5-star hotels. Totally satisfied with Hotel Ai Cavalieri
Perfect position right in the middle of Venice, 6-7 min walk from Rialto bridge, and 7-8 min walk to St Marks Square. Opulent entrance, hallways, dining room, high quality breakfast, staff are very attentive too. Would stay there again for sure.
This was the best hotel of our trip!”
The staff here is top notch and friendly. I told my husband that this must be a great place to work because all the staff, from front desk to housekeeping and breakfast room/bar are smiling and nodding and make eye contact in a friendly manner. So refreshing. Our room was fabulous, opulent and clean as can be. Just the decor you imagine in a palazzo in Venezia! The room amenities were so appreciated, a robe and slippers, bathroom essentials, turn down service, mini bar, etc. Just first class all the way. I loved the Castello neighborhood where this hotel is located, walkable, safe, and out of the touristy areas of Rialto and San Marco but easy walk to them. Also, the private dock out of the back of the hotel was so nice for a private gondola ride and water taxi service which the hotel arranged for us. Oh and breakfast was fabulous!! Fresh, great choices and again, a friendly service staff that seemed genuinely happy to see us each morning. Would seek this property out again!
A very conveniently located quiet, comfortable hotel.
Fantastic location ”
Overall this hotel is amazing. The location couldn't be better, away from the hustle and bustle but five minutes to the city landmarks. The hotel room Junior suite was a welcome surprise. If you arrive late to the airport get a water taxi as the hotel has a dock . Thank you Hotel Ai Cavalieri di Venezia.....great holiday.
Beautiful hotel. Wonderful staff.”
The hotel room was elegantly put together -- the best we have every stayed in. Alvise and the rest of the staff were extremely welcoming and very helpful. Thank you for making our honeymoon so wonderful.
Not exactly the cheapest option - but an experience worth paying extra for.”
Value for money is a relative concept in Venice where everything is over priced and exchange rates manipulated . But this hotel is a great change from the usual - with plenty of Venetian character. Location is difficult with many bridges to cross in the pedestrianised city. But this adds to its appeal - and water taxis are an alternative., If needed. Staff are exceptionally helpful. Rooms are very dark and over furnished - which may be oppressive in summer - but were comfortable in the December cold.
Quiet and rather luxury hotel”
Though situated near the Rialto bridge n not far from the st Mark's square, it is not busy but quiet which is pretty good if you want to have a good rest. You can walk to main places of interests as well as restaurants, shopping, etc. Staff are pretty helpful too. Room is decent with a small terrace looking out to the Duomo. Just felt that the price is not cheap but maybe this is so in Venice.
Beautiful hotel and great staff who helped us with any questions we had. The hotel was well-maintained and the breakfast was nice.
Heart of Venice - Excellent staff, hotel and fantastic location”
The hotel is in the center of Venice. We stayed at the hotel for two Nights and would love to come back to stay. The staff is very friendly and came up With good advise regarding restaurants and places to see that were off the beaten path. We came by plane to Marco polo airport. Took a none stop bus parken outside terminal directly to buscentral and from here a Watertaxi vaporetto to Rialto bridge, from here it was 5 minus walk. Price Per person 15€. Very easy and inexpensive.
Good base to visit Venice”
Hotel is ideally located: 10 minute walk from San Marco square but not on the main tourist trail. Good restaurants nearby the hotel has it's own dock so easy access for water taxi. Price is what you'd expect from a busy major tourist area but the ambiance is lovely. A good selection for continental breakfast buffet and staff were very pleasant and helpful.
My husband and I stayed here for one night at the end of our stay in Venice. We were mesmerised when we walked into the lobby. The service was fantastic and the rooms were of an excellent standard and all fixtures and fittings were of a high standard. This really helped us to completely relax and enjoy our last night in Venice. The bed was very comfortable and large and the shower was very powerful which made us feel at home.
Charming, clean hotel.”
This hotel is lovely and just the right size. Amenities were great, loved having the nespresso machine in the room. Bed was extremely comfortable. The only problem we had was intermittant internet, which might not have been the fault of the hotel. One another note, Venice is difficult to navigate and walking From Rialto drop off with luggage is hellish with lots of luggage, due to stairstep canal crossings. Take a private water taxi to the hotel directly!
A fantastic location in the heart of the city. The room was lovely and spacious. The staff were very friendly and put on a fantastic breakfast. The room also had lots of useful information for us to maximise our time. Overall i would certainly recommend to others.
Far away and disconnected”
Not recommended if you want to experience the city vibe. Also, the room provided was overlooking the lesser flow of the river. I think that's what you get when you book on discount websites, still.....disappointed. Also, no city shuttle was plying in Jan. They did give us a taxi option and were flexible with the timing, still they made it very clear everytime that they are doing us a favour. Not good hospitality I would say. Breakfast was very okay.
Stunning Venetian hotel, ideally located”
Just arrived back from a long weekend in Venice with family. The hotel was ideally situated with a 10 minute walk from St Marks Square and 10 minutes from Rialto Bridge. The hotel was incredibly clean and all the rooms were beautifully decorated. The staff were all incredibly helpful. Breakfast was a fantastic array of cereals, meat, fish, cakes, toast, fruit and more! We had one issue whilst staying, we had no hot water one morning, but the staff were attentive and I was immediately shown to another room, which happened to be a rather gorgeous suite, for my morning shower. Maintenance were sent to our room to fix the problem, whilst we were out and on return to the hotel we had a chilled bottle of prosecco in our room, with compliments from the hotel. Absolutely loved Venice and would go back now if I could.
Gorgeous old-school elegance”
This was such a lovely traditional grand hotel. Like the rest of Venice, the elegance perhaps getting slightly elderly and faded, but that only added to the charm. Bed was comfortable, room was immaculate, staff were friendly, helpful, kind and attentive, and the breakfast spread was great. Conveniently situated halfway between Rialto and San Marco and on a quiet calle/canal away from the tourist crowds. Highly recommended.
